SC EP:1196 The Hunting Club

Spoke to Drew and he has agreed to come on the show. A listener writes “I’m 56 years old and an avid deer hunter with 39 years of hunting experience to date. I’ve had several experiences in the woods leading up to my day time sighting on my hunting club in SC . My youngest son turned me on to your podcast. I feel compelled to share my experiences.”

❤️‍🩹 Besides losing a human loved one, there’s nothing worse when our fur baby is sick or passes away. Yes, RIP Caz. I believe we’ll see our pets in heaven someday. I have lots of pets in heaven, among them 2 turtles. Everything that breathes has a soul. And don’t we love them forever! _m

My Pluto hurt his leg last year, he’s fine now, but he still milks it 🤣. When he forgets he was hurt, he just jumps on the bed, but mostly he makes me help him. Up and down, up and down Lol! Eh, he’s my baby. I’m glad Teddy will be OK, it takes some time, though. Be patient 😊🙏

Thank you Wes, and guest. I enjoyed the story, very good conversation to listen too. Wes I have a 5 month old orange tabby kitten and he thinks he can fly also. He comes pretty close to it, sure do love him.

Glad to hear Teddy is doing better, we had to leash our pitbull to keep her from doing anything but walking for like 6 weeks when she strained her shoulder with her hijinx . It wasn’t a fun time for her or us but she did finally heal up and was back to her crazy self in no time after that. She did kinda calm down a bit after that.
    Great show by the way.

“ I think he thinks he legitimately can fly” 😂😂😂 I absolutely lost it when that Superman theme long slowly came in 😂😂😂 mine does the same thing!

So sorry you had to go through that though, Wes. Thank goodness all is well with sweet Teddy!!

    m99 – saying prayers for Sunshine ♥️

my heart goes out to all those that have loved and lost a fur baby… their unconditional love and companionship is such a difficult thing to lose.

Awe Christine B ~ Thank you. She’s better today! She’s 15 years old and has Never been sick. She’s not in pain or having any spasms. We decided to wait until Friday to take her in. He’s off on Friday and it’ll be less traumatic for her. Thank you for the supportive prayer, but I think it’s doing more than that! Awesome sauce. _m ❤️‍🩹

I love listening to hunters encounters, thank you for coming on the show Drew, and sharing your encounters –
Spent my whole life in the mountains and deserts of Utah and boarding states, I’ve had a lot of memories, triggered by taking the time to listen to other people’s encounters. Thank you for Your consistency and maintaining this platform Wes, it’s amazing very therapeutic.

Go Teddy! Gotta love the dog! I have a jumper, big golden retriever who can jump close to twice his length. Scares me when he does that. Glad to hear Teddy is doing better. And hopefully Teddy lives long and well and lets you catch up on your sleep!!

m99 I’m SO glad to hear sweet Sunshine is doing better! My tuxedo cat Jack was my “baby before my baby” … and I’m right there with you, brother – I truly feel everything that breathes has a soul ♥️ I meant to ask, where was your sighting? I had all my episodes saved, but had to delete and re-download the app and lost yours!

Also, I’m with Janice B… I bet Teddy would love the dock diving! He definitely sounds like he was born for it…Or at least think he was 😂

So glad that Teddy is on the mend. Perhaps Teddy has watched to many old re run cartoons of Underdog. It reminds me a bit of when my Golder Lab, Finn, was younger. This past Sunday we celebrated his 10th birthday. He would do circle after circle up onto my deck about 3 foot height and run across to the opening and launch himself as far out into the yard as he could.
Thanks Drew for some great experiences out their in South Carolina. Drove through South Carolina twice in May of 2024. Beautiful state you have and love all the forest. Drove down to the Treasure Coast of Florida as my brother in law passed. South Carolina saved me from horrific traffic of Atlanta ond alternate route of Charlotte, NC. I like that you do not let seeing and being around these Sasquatch keep you away from the hunting activity you love.

Again the app sounds stops just after 6 mins although it appears it keeps playing. had to close down app and restart and remember the timepoint I left off at since it never remembers. weren’t you guys working on fixing the app?

Loved this episode from Drew in SC. We live in TN but my husband was born in and grew up in Spartanburg. We have lots of family there still. Drew, when you’re caught up on Sasquatch Chronicles, come to “The Facts by How to Hunt” on YouTube. There is a backup/rerun channel called “The Round Table by How to Hunt” but the current daily episodes are posted on “The Facts.” We’d love to have you there too. ♥︎Ellie
