Thank you sir for filling in! I’ve had physical experiences with these beings but the paranormal part fascinates me. Everyone can’t be lying. A good friend of mine who I truly trust seen the predator type thing in the upper peninsula.
We are truly the outcast when it comes to surviving on our planet. My friends would say I’m a professional but I’d say I’m a amateur wilderness survival expert. I’ve gone 5 days in the woods sleeping in shelters and collecting my own food and water. I just took a knife. I had the knowledge and experience and it was still extremely hard make it.
Compared to these beings who don’t even need fire, shelter, or water. I truly wish I could learn from them because I would be able to expand my knowledge because I’m sure they have a way bigger “database ” of wild plants and trees uses.
Get well Wes! Great show but not the same without you!

I miss when there’s no guests, but at least there’s still a show. brent, you did a great job filling in. It wasn’t boring LOL. And I’ve been listening to paranormal portal for years. You do some good work!!! And feel better Wes! Dental surgery will definitely put you down!

  3. Brent T

Thank you for all the comments! Nobody on the planet could take Wes’ chair, but it was a thrill to do this episode!!! Truly an incredible experience and I hope I did it some measure of justice! 🙂 Thank you for all the love and support!

Great job with hosting the show Brent!!! Loved the episode and the way you explored the possibilities and reality of the subject!! Also loved your video suggestions at the end, seen a few and you gave me a few new ones to check out! Thank you for filling in for Wes during his recovery! Your show is on my list of ones to listen too!

    • Shelly T

You did an incredibly great job, I’ll be sure to take a peek at a couple of your recommendations that I’ve never heard of. I also will listen to your show as your so informative and respectful and I am always looking for intelligent and interesting podcasts. Broadcast television isn’t exactly stimulating for those who enjoy thinking. Lol Thanks again and Wes did a fine job picking the substitute teacher…no spit balls in your class!

    Here’s my opinion…
Counting coup is an excellent choice of words for the road crossing/sightings. It does mean to test one’s bravery against the “enemy”, but also as a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power, and maybe power could translate to freedom or even free will if you allow it.

To me, these sightings in many ways take something from you, your time, your ability to have something more productive in your life, your peace of mind, confidence, your relatability to people around you and sometimes your relationships. In other ways it also adds things such as fear, insecurity or a distraction in your life away from something potentially much greater, like time to appreciate family or enjoy the deeper beauty of nature or spirituality.

The other interesting thing about the word “coup” is that it looks like it should read as “coop”, which is like a cage for chickens… And maybe for these beings we are like chickens, stuck in one realm where they possibly traverse between two or three realms. They do seem to have fondness for killing or taking chickens… And if I dare say, they/it probably doesn’t like to be referred to as birds within scripture… Revelation 18:2, Matthew 13:4 and more.

And as far as throwing stones or pebbles… You’ll find that reference in the Bible as well. Why they are allowed to cast stones at some people might be best for the experiencer to know or look into.

I believe every encounter has a message in it, sometimes for the witness, sometimes mocking or mimicking religion or nature in some snarky way and sometimes to simply separate the wheat from the chaff in how the witness proceeds with their life after the event.

    Great job Brent!

In Native American Ojibwe culture (where part of my heritage comes from) the Sasquatch or “Sabe” is represented on the totem as the symbol for honesty. I believe this is true in that experiencing the being is revealing something to the witness that reveals a truth or a weakness and something the witness needs to confront within themselves.

My personal belief is that many ancient cultures had many experiences with Sabe (or the like) and it was very common because they had more of a connection to the Earth, nature and the spirit world. They likely would share their experience with an elder to understand the meaning of the experience.

As more people have lost the connections we once had and to the depth we had, these experiences are seemingly more thrust upon us now… And without knowledge or wisdom from these elders and believing them or taking their words as Gospel, it leaves the witness lost in confusion about the entire experience as a mystery.
What the world needs is guidance and wisdom again, now we are lost with a variety of mixed signals from too many sources.

@Brent Thomas ~ Man you did a great job. Thx for helping Wes, and thanks for taking the time too. To say it was perfect would not be sincere, but I don’t know how anyone could improve upon your visit.

Love the Paranormal Portal. I used to pull it up just to listen to the song you wrote and posted in the beginning (for me, I don’t know when you showed up) . 🙂 It was (is) a great song, and I’ve heard others you written, which are also awesome.

      Anywho, be blessed! _m

Thanks Brent for the video suggestions and the key words to look them up. I’ve often heard of the thermal footage but could never find it. Wes, have a speedy recovery – hope you feel better soon.

I’m prob going to sound like a jerk and I truly don’t mean to be. I’m also prob saying what a lot are thinking but why am I paying for a membership? I don’t think there has been a true scary encounter in some time or even a memorable one. But I understand my taste may not be Lisa’s because she thought this one was great…I’ll leave that one alone. I’ve said enough. But for real, “I thought I shot a man” > “Lisa’s awesome show” and everything in a long time.
But I hope the yapper heals up fast and spin free

  7. Mark R

    Thanks for filling in Brent!

Just to riff off your observation that bigfoot covers a lot of ground, the coyote now lives from near the Arctic Circle to just north of South America. They are also creatures that can thrive anywhere.

  8. Dianne B

Brent, do you think they run out to remind us to keep them in mind ? Let people know they are here? So keep our distance? Probably keeps them safe. But, a good idea of it being a rite of passage.

I enjoyed your host brent thomas, very knowledgeable, enjoyable to listen to very smart in inputting is itinerary together, I never heard Of him before Until now, And he did a really good job of filling in for you, Oh and I also liked His use Of $10 words., He knows how to put him in appropriate places, He’s a very intelligent man. Thank you for him. Wes. And hope you get better.

  10. Anne-Marith V

Thank you Brent, I very much enjoyed the show! And I know we all miss Wes when sometimes he’s not able to do a show, which is very understandable, since he’s only human -even though, you know, he’s Wes!- but I would just like to say to Wes and Brent, hope you just take in the positive comments and ignore the whiny and unkind types, the subscription is very much worth it and every encounter is fascinating!

    • Brent T

Thank you, Anne. That is very kind of you. I’ve been doing shows for 8 years and, while it would be awesome, I know there is no way to make everyone thrilled with what you’re doing. It’s just human nature. Hell, if someone solved cancer, there would be comments upset about putting oncologists out of work. lol I am just so thankful for those that do appreciate it and I feel incredibly blessed to be doing what I love. No offense to those who weren’t thrilled with my visit. I respect your opinions and your right to have them. 😀 It will always be an incredible honor to me to have had this opportunity. 🙂

  11. ALAN C

That was such an awareness physical presentation of the Foot! Very cool you did it with such grace too Brent. True friend to the SC Family! What is the ending song and by who/artist? Appreciate it!

    • Ken A

      The Freeman footage…no.
That guy saw and videotaped bigfoot as much as Ivan Marx, who is also a hoaxer.
It looks like a fat guy in a very loose costume.
Bigfoot doesn’t just walk slowly as a guy as calm as can be is filming it. Watch it closely. The bear or gorilla costume is so loose and drab looking.
Patterson/Gimlin is the only one I would bet on.
There are more people than nit making up stories and coaxing for attention.

    • Dana B

I enjoy the comraderie ya’ll have among podcasters and willing to collaborate, laugh and work together. Its nice to see “furthering the topics” rather than bringing others down, hurting the research like competitive know it alls. I really enjoy the positivity and we the listeners benefit from the points of view and new ideas. The Sasquatch Chronicles family loves our Wes. Sending Wes get well wishes. Tke your time and heal solidly, we will be here for you. Thanks again for hosting and giving us a great show. Happy Sasquatch Sunday!

  12. Jay T

Thanks.Brent & Wes. Sometimes we live in our own self-serving day-to-day bubble and especially in anonymous social media (me included). sC and Wes are so important to most all of us and all should be more appreciative and try to be more respectful and constructive.

Brent was good to step in and I was interested in his remarks which are spot on in better understanding the creature, that we can use to inform others Wes, get well and thanks for what you do..

  13. Barbara F

I loved the show tonight ! Thank you, Brent . I totally loved your perspective and didn’t miss having a witness for a change . I enjoyed rethinking some Sasquatch topics from a different vantage point. Trying to get inside their heads.. What’s their motive ? I appreciate the fresh thoughts.

Hey, Wes, hope you’re feeling better! Really late to the party! I can’t watch SC at the campgrounds, like I’m inviting the woo side in a jth my interest, was a vacant campground, etc. Soni got home and had to tell you….the other night h ht at the house I saw a ghost walk through my living room. I am 90 percent sure it was a woman, probably Mrs. Houghton whose house this belonged to in the early early 1900s. My husband woke up to have her standing by his bed a few months ago and I thought I got rid of her by telling her in Jesus name to leave. (She’s probably reading this incognito over my shoulder). It could have been residual energy as I’m sure she passed from the kitchen to the dining room many times in her lifetime (what I saw). It was just the shape (like the predator but part of it was in shadow too (black areas in the whole, the whole was more like the water mold in the air thing. BTW, hope I never sounded like a know it all in the past. Far from it. Thanks. Sometimes just get excited with learning and growing and get a bit excessive. My screen is froze so can’t proof this. Please excuse any typos.

  15. BEK

I’m sure the Merkel Mafia is behind this. Tony thought of such a Perfect backstory, Wes had “Dental surgery”, it gave Tony time to jump into his portal, snatch Wes, drag him back to Tennessee and lock him up while he does his best to pretend to be Wes. We all know mimics can’t be 100% and Tony’s laugh will give it away. Don’t be counting your chickens before they hatch. If I hear the returning “Wes” laugh or ramble on and on and on and on about portals, we will have a rescue team deployed to free the real Wes from Tennessee Tony’s (conveniently constructed) Secret 3rd Studio.

One word Wes DENTURES!!!! My friend goes through the same thing with her screw in teeth. The bones in her jaw are deteriorating. Dentures are so bad!! Thanks for the show Brent!! I’m a big believer in ghosts!! Saw two of them. One was my best friend and the other was a guy waiting for a train. He looked to be early 1900’s.
