I would think that it would make sense to take your dog with you. Your dog will alert you to a Booger much sooner than what you could observe. However, keep it on a leash. And if your dog won’t go any farther, then you should take that as a sign to turn around and leave.

Ron makes a good point but….it really seems more about the personality of the dog, or maybe it’s age. We have all listen to podcast were the dogs being killed by a Bigfoot but we have also listen to were a dog has played with them too. It’s seems that those dogs that are very protective and/or older are the ones that are killed. On the other hand, those dogs that are younger and/or are playful seem to be ones that aren’t killed. Is it worth the risk to leave your dogs out at night when your being visited by a Bigfoot? That’s your individual call. Hiking with a dog? I would think that you both would be pretty safe, I guess depending on your dog and whether it listens.

Jeff your right I heard an encounter with this older couple from Georgia who over 15 years built a semi-relationship with a Sasquatch troop that would migrate through there property yearly and stay around for a few months. The couple had two dogs the dog that barked they had to keep away but they also had a smaller dog that never barked at them and eventually that dog was able to go over to the troop and they never hurt it and from what they said seemed to like the dog. Could be a rare case but interesting anyway. That’s one thing I personally dislike about those creatures killing dogs.

“Dog Lives Matter”!! That’s my new slogan!! Be loyal to your dog… He or she has been loyal to you! Be responsible owners and don’t leave them outside when you know these creatures are around and by now, we are aware they do kill dogs! It’s our job not to put them in harms way. That’s cruel, careless and irresponsible to do otherwise. They don’t stand a chance against an aggressive Sasquatch! Thank you.
