Rushed By A Creature While In My Vehicle

A listener writes “In 1995, Acton Maine, I was rushed by the creature while in my vehicle. It was eating what I Iater came to see were apples from a ferrel tree on the roadside.

We would bathe and pajama the kids for late night rides to the camp. Sometimes they’d pass out as it took a few hours to get there from home. I bush whacked up to camp one night with them. We had a place in the road we called the roller coaster. I would turn out the lights and coast in neutral down the hill and around the corner. This night I did it to keep myself awake. I came round the bend and it was crouched down on the embankment stuffing its face. It pounded it’s fist on the ground and ran straight at my driver’s door and barked, at my truck I believe.

It came within ten feet of my door when it seemed to see me in the window. It turned left and paralleled me for a few steps. Big ass feet, and used its arm for balance as it turned. Then it turned left again and went into the treeline. I could feel the bark! My wife was sleeping with the kids, and awoke and gave me the usual, slow down Michael! My wife is deaf Wes. I think she felt it too, and it woke her. I wasn’t sure what the hell took place for a few hours. We were only a few miles from the camp so we got to bed and I went back alone later that day. That’s when I saw the apples on the ground and even some of the mangled apples that fell out of its mouth when it barked. It took me quite some time to rationalize that I saw, what I saw.”

I’ve lived in New England all my 60+ years and have never been concerned about being outside a cabin in the woods up in Maine or NH when camping. Now, though, after reading and listening to the podcasts, I’m always be ‘on guard’ when I am out in any sort of nature area. I guess knowing there are ‘creatures’ out there in the forested areas and less populated areas makes me more prepared for the unexpected things that can happen. Great Story!

I agree, Theresa. I always knew that bear and mountain lions were a possibility but still never gave solo camping or hiking a second thought. After hearing so many encounter stories here and elsewhere I’ll now only go in a group.

Indeed Renee, a term I do not think I have heard before associated with a Sasquatch, however one that should be easy for them to mimic. I guess this one took it’s apples quite seriously.

Look forward to this one .I watched a very good review by big foot Tony of that Russian big foot chasing a car of screaming people . Grainey but very inneresting behaviour when slowed down . If anyone can link it it’s worth a look

I’d love to hear more too and yes, I’ve seen the footage from Russia of the Sasquatch chasing a car full of people. I believe that the video was pulled shortly after being posted. Too bad, it looked credible.
