Retired United States Border Patrol Agent Speaks Out

I just spoke to Rocky Elmore who is a retired United States Border Patrol Agent. He shared with me a scary Sasquatch encounter he was involved in. The agents were tracking illegal aliens coming across the border when the agents were told that a “large predator” was tracking them and the commander was watching this creature through the scope. A command was given that all agents were to return to their vehicles. Rocky shared with me several weird things that happened to him while he was serving.

I am thinking about having him on Sunday.

Rocky wrote a book called “Out on Foot: Nightly Patrols and Ghostly Tales of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent”

“When Rocky Elmore joined the United States Border Patrol, he knew it would be a journey fraught with danger. But little did he know that the very real trails he walked night after night would soon lead him into surreal encounters from a different dimension. This was never more evident than when the ghost of a recently fallen fellow agent began to appear on top of the cliff from which he died. It marked the beginning of the end to one of the most bizarre series of events in the history of the U.S. Border Patrol. This collection of true stories provides a rare look into law enforcement that includes not only the routine nightly patrols of the USBP but also actual paranormal activity as it happened to the agents in the field. Readers will go on nightly patrols with the agents of the Brown Field Border Patrol Station, and will face their worst fears as they come face to face with smugglers, mountain lions, ghosts, and even a Sasquatch in this isolated no-man’s land. OUT ON FOOT takes place in the mysterious Otay Mountains just east of San Diego, California. It is an emotional roller coaster ride that is not for the faint of heart.”

..yep…and name a potent drink the same as well 😉 I’ll have a Bud and 2 Rocky Elmores over ice 😉

Wes, I think the encounters would make for possible real “hair raiser” – Lord knows I could use some 😉 Bring him on. 🙂

It was a hot sticky L.A afternoon. The kind of heat that makes the thin white blouses of the wannabe actresses waiting the sidewalk tables on Sunset so clingy I ordered two meals, but I digress. Back at my low rent 3rd floor walk up office pondering when to call the waitress I had convinced I was a producer…3 days was the current thinking according to my sorta friend who spent his nights roaming the hip L.A . swing scene . The window A/C had gave up the ghost days before. God it’s hot in here…I should just call it a day. My thoughts were interrupted by the bell above the door…she walked in…what could a big time star like her be doing here? She looked just as good in person as she did on the big screen. “You Rocky Elmore”?, the voice that had seduced millions. I tried to play it cool…starring at her white blouse, remembering how I had cursed the A/C repairman insuring I would be the last one on his list, it could be days…I smiled…Yes, Yes I am.

I worked for the Border Patrol in South Texas as a subcontractor. The Men and Women are to be commended for the often thankless job they do. They are some of the most down to earth people you will ever meet.

    Much Respect.

Sounds like he would be a great candidate for a show Bring him on! I would be interested to know how they knew they were being tracked. USCBP probably has access to advanced aerial imaging from time to time and wonder if it was how they detected they were being tracked – otherwise they had a squatch that was sloppy or just didn’t care about being noticed.

Boarder Patrol Bigfoot…. Bigfoot on the Boarder —– The Boarder Bigfoot …. Bigfoot on Patrol …. It all sounds good, can’t wait. I will be camping up by Indian Heaven that weekend and hoping to have my own little encounter with the forest folk.

Now THERE’S and idea — Border Booger Patrols – much better than an expensive wall – just let a platoon of Hungry, Hungry Harry’s patrol the border – tell them that cartel members and “coyotes” taste like chicken…

      Dear Nancy

Please be careful. If you haven’t listened to Wes & Woody’s encounter yet, I *highly* recommend it for your own personal safety.

      With all Sincerity
      Steve

Thanks Wes! We can’t wait!!! I live in SD and I’ve heard something in those line that the Otay Mesa Mountains have a bit of a squatchy past. My parents have a cabin home they built over in the mountains of Tecate east almost across the border to a town called Boulevard. A couple of locals had warned my parents not to explore a certain mountain area because they would get rocks thrown at them. My parents asked who throws the rocks? The locals said “La persona de las montañias” meaning the mountain person.
