Witness Observation
My mother and I and one of my friends were traveling north on FM 1008 between Dayton and Kenefick TX. I believe it was late evening or early night. All three of us watched a very tall creature completely covered with hair from head to toe stand at the side of the road and disappear into the woods. All three of us saw the same thing. I will talk to my mom and get her to recall the incident.

Additional Information
The witnesses described the creature’s face as “creepy” and “not human.” The coloration was unclear. “Dark” was used to describe the subject as “brownish-black.” The encounter did occur at night and it was very short-lived. The son, who was not driving, reported that he saw the subject turn and walk into the woods on the same side that it was standing as their car passed.
The mother asked whether or not the subject could have been a bear, but the son told her that in no way was it a bear; it was clearly bipedal, quite large, was very tall, dark and hairy with a “creepy” face.

I drove that route last weekend! FM1008 makes a loop that connects to 321, North of Dayton, and there have been 7 sightings along those two connected stretches of roadway. Takes me 64 miles roundtrip, to make the drive from my house and back. There are some pretty creepy looking areas out there, and not too many houses. I have been wanting to make it out there at night, on the weekends. I’ll keep everyone posted!

Hey Sean, do you have a Go-Pro camera you can use on your night-time trip? With those roadside sightings reported your chances maybe good to get something on camera and share with the SC guys.

Hey Jeff, no I do not have a GoPro, but I do have a pretty decent digital camera. Before I go, I’ll get a bigger memory card, as I do believe it records video in HD. If I get back, and it looks at all interesting, I’ll contact SC about it and make it available to everyone. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do a day and night sequence soon, so everyone can see how the area changes at night. If there are Sasquatch in this area, so close to Houston, I could easily see them being out there for sure. I’ll keep everyone in the loop, and thanks for your interest!

Every story I have heard(three in forty years) has said the creatures were quite scary or creepy. No body wanted to slow dance with them or anything. Like a hairy ape man monster.
