MK Davis reviews the Patterson Gimlin film

M.K.Davis has been researching the Patterson Sasquatch film for the last 18 years. He has traveled extensively and has amassed one of the largest collection of images from the film. M.K. has trekked the Bluff Creek drainage of Northern California on many occasions and his observations have led to several important discoveries on the film itself. While the Patterson film is only a very short piece of film, it continues to yield vital data that may one day lead to a more complete understanding what it is that is on the film and what it means to all of us

Gotta love MK. Think hes as sick as rest of us of hearing same old BS that thats just guy in a suit. Not to metion the body proportions, gate and locomotion, muscle definition showing extension and retraction, even old wounds appear. That sure musta been one hell of a suit made by some old broke cowboys. Shoulda worked in hollywood and made that for planet of the apes film. Probly woulda made more money that way. Thanks MK but some people wouldnt believe even if sasquatch came in their house and picked them and their computer desk up and threw them out a window. Probly still be a guy in a suit. You just cant fix stupid.

I did this same thing few years back with a digitally remastered version of the film. Im not saying that it might not have just been an anomely or artifact of some kind but in many of the clearer frames where you get good view of her bottom i noticed an area of dark matted hair on her backside. Almost as if she needed to borrow lil charmin ultra strong from her bear brethren. Told my wife now why would a guy in a suit think to crap in his or her suit a few times and scooch around in dirt and leaves. Talk about adding that extra touch of authenticity! Who would think to do that?!

Well said John L. I think any open minded person would accept this film as unlikely to have been faked. But because it is what it is, nothing will ever change, till the physical body is found. Even then, I feel many people will refuse to believe it because this creature is what it is. You are right, many of these doubters, sceptics, haters, whatever we choose to call them, would still say ‘guy in suit’, even if the creature came up to them and bit them on the ass!.
I think M.K Davis has tried to analyse clips etc with a real scientific approach. He may not always be right, but he has suffered the same as everyone else in this subject and been vilified. You rarely hear from him now since that snowy buffalo film in Yellowstone and the crap he took over that. People convincing us it’s quite safe to approach an American bison and stand a few feet away from it….yeah they are harmless. What a load of crap. Spook a buffalo and you could be in big trouble. Then a year later, in the same area the gang of people, all in suits of course, in several feet of snow, gathering round a geiser in sub zero temperatures on Christmas day!!. Yeah, we all do that don’t we!!.
I’m sure it was M.K once who pointed out there might be a baby with Patty and she knew she had made a big mistake being caught in the open by Roger and Bob?. That she knew she had and was drawing attention away from the baby on to herself?. Maybe that’s why she did’nt run?. The baby could then catch up to her unobserved?.
Anyway, that’s no guy in a suit and god bless Bob Gimlin!!.

I was not aware that MK did any work on that snowy buffalo Yellowstone film. I remember it well when Thinker Thunker first put it out their claiming that a group of cross country skiers, or walkers, were Bigfoots in broad daylight close to the Yellowstone lodges and were going to take down a buffalo. A few people including myself ( Phil Poling and Michael from Maine ) tried to help Thinker Thunker with what was actually going on, that being the wide angle telephoto lens parallax effect where distant objects appear to be the same size as the closer objects and one can not tell the distance between the two because of the compression. Thinker Thunker would have none of this even though this effect was easily explained with online experiments. It can be read about here with the second paragraph explaining it quite well. Also during the winter Yellowstone still receives about 25,000 people per month partaking in outside snow activities.

I hope MK did not get hoodwinked into that also but it would not be the first time. Also the Mike Sells tapes, and just ask Bob Gimlin what he thinks of MK’s ridiculous theory of killing multiple Bigfoots at Bluff Creek.

With that said MK has done some tremendous work on the Patterson footage and the above stands on it’s own. Bob Gimlin always talks about how huge and rippling the muscles were on Patty and the above sure seems to confirm that.

MKs analysis of baby bigfoot in a tree is a good one to check out. The lil booger resembles a young chimp exactly the way he scoots up the tree and shakes it then scoots down and jumps out. Hes done some great work but sometimes people make mistakes and then theyre branded forever. And all good deeds are forgotten. Its sad but true.

Mr. John L. I am not sure I have seen that one. I hope it isn’t the same one that Finding Bigfoot did in New York State as that one is hotly disputed. In fact I know a guy that lives in New York that runs a group and swears he knows the person who’s monkey it was. He brought that up during the Finding Bigfoot Town Hall for that episode and was promptly escorted out. If you have a link to the MK Davis one, please post it.

If one is in this Bigfoot study long enough, or short enough, indeed mistakes will be made. I remember when the Lettuce Lake, Florida Bigfoot came out, maybe 2 1/2 years ago. I was dang convinced it was probably real, especially since it looked like it lifted a 3 foot long fish out of the swamp, and frankly it just looked real. Then BFRO researcher extraordinaire, Renee Montieth came out with recent fakes that the witnesses had participated in. I felt quite foolish, but dang it was the best done fake I had ever seen.

As someone that has met M.K. in person and that used to talk with him almost nightly in the old GCBRO voice chat back in 2000-2002 I can tell you he is a very honest, sincere and honorable man that goes where the evidence takes him. It was M.K. along with Jay Michaels that tracked down the shoes that were used to make the fake “Honey Island Swamp Monster” prints from the 70’s. They both believed there was a large bipedal creature in the H.I.S. but it was not making those 3 toed clawed prints (they looked part alligator part BF). I’m not saying all his theories are correct but that he comes to his conclusions from hard work and a dedication to finding answers.

(New Jersey) I’ve always liked MK Davis’ work. I also respect the time and commitment he’s given to the subject of Sasquatch. I also think he would be an excellent guest on Sasquatch Chronicles. Unless of course, he’s been on an earlier episode already?
