Hey thanks for your info.. I’ve never been in the ashely national forrest but I’ve heard of encounters up in there .. its not too far from where we go . Have also wanted to get over to skin walker ranch just to see it . It’s true they lock it up and watch it carefully. I’ve talked to a friend of mine who’s daughter seen a bigfoot in that area a year or so ago . Lots of activity in that area.
@everyone … I truly do enjoy reading and digesting everyone’s thoughts, ideas and beliefs on not just this subject matter but many others … I know I’m “green” when I feel like I’m trying to interpret what seems to be another language at times! ???
I’d say Looks maybe Like a stick drawing w/prints? .. not sure if natural could do that but I could b wrong . None the less, interesting .

Could it possibly b a “shape shifter”? Could it possibly b inner twined with Native American culture and belief and as a result are what people r seeing ..?

@Wolf.. though a fascinating experience I to agree with there being some red flags . What u mention is correct in a lot of ways . Maybe it did truly happen but then again maybe it didn’t. I don’t know what to really think of it .@ Thomas W.. Thanks for your comments and insight. Very interesting. If I recall there was an episode some time ago where two Latter Day Saint missionaries (mormons) were teaching an older gentleman who had in his earlier years served in a law enforcement capacity. In his account he tells the missionaries how the Gov had contacted his law enforcement agency asking for assistance with the capture and removal of these creatures in on particular area/canyon.
He goes on to state how he was in a chopper and during the course of the event was taking pictures and audio of how the scene unfolded. Really an amazing account and tragic all in the same if that makes sense. Not sure if u might remember that show I”m talking about. I find that very interesting considering there are two agencies one being federal and the other local .
It’s crazy how you hear of people loosing their jobs etc over this. I don’t necessarily believe that would ever be the case for me (but ya never know I guess).
On the bright side maybe I could get an early retirement out of it! LOL . That’s a funny Gif also hahahah .
@Denise… I’ve never been asked to drop, or leave it alone when taking a reported case. Matter of fact, the the typical reaction when we get reports is laughter, what are they on or have been taking etc etc .It’s just not taken seriously from what I’ve seen and experienced. I do my best though to document what they say and say it for what it is. I further more don’t try and pass if off as something else when it is reported and what’s being described does not have typical animal characteristics . From what I’ve experienced is that people have a sigh of relief when they talk to me and are taken seriously.
I also use our radio for documented radio traffic. I figure I’m not the only one listening to the scanners. We have the main hub of the NSA (National Security Agency) near by and I reckon they are keen and tuned in to the law enforcement channels and chatter.
@Denise … I do feel as though I’m in the right area particularly at nights . Typically I will turn my vehicle off and just work on my reports but always have a listening ear when I’m doing so . There have been times when when I’ve sensed things but that might just be due to being in the mountains alone .
I recall an episode where a police officer had pulled his rig positioned to get speeders on a dark road . The account continues where he nodded off and when he came too, to his astonishment there was a big face pressed against the front passenger window. The officer having. Even overcome by fear couldn’t react (rightfully so)! He said he then looked in the review mirror and seen the creature walking off describing it has big and hairy . That episode has always stuck with me bc again , this creature has no biases when it comes to who it encounters . Not sure what episode it was if anyone might know .
@ Birdmama… I appreciate your insight information. I agree with u in regards to no matter what evidence is brought forth to the table, there will never be enough to satisfy the non believers or those who just want to disscredit it all together. I’d like to say that I have trust in the government but I can’t and won’t. The government will do any and all to discredit, and or supress the subject. Those sound like very interesting and intense places. Not quite sure I even have the guts for that intentionally.
@ Denise… Ask away, I’m always willing to be up front and honest with how I’ve seen this subject matter portrayed in my profession.
We have had lots of witnesses and encounters in the area I work . We have huge national forests and along with that lots and lots of canyons. There are three canyons that immediately come to mind with lots of reported sasquatch activity.
Typically this time of year the reports become more frequent and then taper off but still come about during the winter months.
There are people who are having experiences seeing these things or the like thereof that’s enough to prompt them to contact our office.
We have documented reports through our dispatch offices, and through reports that have been taken on behalf of officer’s etc. People from all walks of life are seeing something and in the end have nothing to gain from telling their accounts.
We’ve had reports of bipedal hairy men in the canyons, hunters accounts of red and green glowing eyes in the distance staring at them. Countless pictures, and video of what people are seeing. Reports of black, orange colored, and brown.
I’ve responded on many of these reports and have talked with countless witnesses. I have no reason to not believe they seen something bc it was something that was completely foreign to them and triggered them enough to reach out. I can’t help but think of all the those that are not reported!
I work days and nights.. Nights tend to be the time when most of this occurs in certain canyons. I have plenty of cameras in my vehicle also in the event but who knows how that will all unfold in the event I end up having a personal encounter.
@Denise .. very insightful and very valid points . Despite how much effort is put in to prove their existence there will always b those who will undermine or discredit the subject if not the witness. The evidence is there including the eye witnesses who have endured these experiences. Even though I myself have not personally had an experience I know many who have and my heart goes out to them and all of u on these forums bc many if not most will not or refuse to take it or you serious . When anyone has a extraordinary or traumatic experience it’s very difficult to just tuck it away and act as if it didn’t happen . Thanks for your insight ?
@ Scott.. I agree with what u say regarding not completely understanding what we are up against. I’m with u on that. The question was merely proposed to inquire other’s thoughts. After all, we all want answers and brain storming is what we all do here.
@ Debbie S… Foremost the post was only putting the notion of what others think about it. My attitude towards the subject matter is like most and am very aware that by going in full throttle if u will would and could be detramental even though there could be some positives from it as well. I only proposed the question bc many have these creatures on their property and so to hear how others think about more thorough investigations of it was all I was inquiring.
I agree that there are good/bad ones just as is the case in society. I see this in the profession that I work.
I don’t know your story nor do I know your experience with these creatures. Even though I don’t I can better understand your points of view for why you wouldn’t. In no way nor means was I or am attempting to come across as saying we need to be renegades and go after them.. It was just a thought provoking thought that I thought would be good to hear from others who have had personal experiences.. Again, thank u for your points of views bc I do appreciate them.
