A listener writes “Hey Wes. Love watching your show all the way over here in the UK. I want to comment on the question of why the Feds are keeping the existence of these creatures secret. I believe it’s only partly due to money, as many people believe.
Imagine you see yourself as the great protector of a group of people. That you answer to nobody and charge yourself with being the decider of such monumental decisions as who should die to save the greater number, etc. You are so omnipotent that you are convinced that your people would not function or survive without you. Imagine also that you are completely vested in maintaining a superpower presence on the world stage. Then imagine you discover a species previously hidden that cannot be contained, even by you. You can’t kill them all. You can’t cage them all. And worst of all, you believe any attempt to do so might result in the unknown species annihilating your people while you stand defenselessly by. You realize that if your people have confirmation of the existence of the hitherto hidden species, you will be exposed as unable to protect them. Your people will begin to question your power in all other things, and rightly so. Other superpowers also begin to question your strength. Would you happily admit the existence of the apex species and your powerlessness over it, or would you attempt to retain your controlling status and deny, deny, deny?
I hear many in the Sasquatch field say we need a body. Only then will the Feds admit Bigfoot exists. I don’t think so. The Feds have already collected Bigfoot bodies, some from salt-of-the-earth people who have never lied a day in their life but whom the Feds have terrorized into silence. Even scientists in the best universities have family they love and careers that can be destroyed. The Feds can and have made people disappear. No. I believe the Feds decided long ago that their best bet is to keep it as quiet as possible. To eliminate rogue Sasquatch and those who make themselves too visible and hope the species dies out over the centuries as man encroaches more and more into the wilderness.

If you Confirm the.existence of boogers and dogmen you confirm the.existence of the alien and vastly more technologically advanced race than ours that created/engineered them. These beings obviously could obliterate our entire population with viral nano technology in days while leaving the rest of life on earth intact. That’s what the gentleman from the UK is referring to. I personally feel that the religious aspect plays a large part in it. I do totally support the view that admittance of this species would undermine support and trust in the FEDS abilities to protect. But i certainly feel and this my own UK based view that American culture is so ingrained with religious ideology and polarized that i think most Americans of that inclination simply could not handle the ramifications of this species being found as real. The dominant view is that humans are made in gods image, but what if we weren’t? What if we were merely one of the steps? What if we aren’t the only species to really occupy this planet? This is a possibility which i feel most religious or extreme based groups simply could not handle, i’m afraid i am coming from this from the point of someone who believes in evolution 100% and really cannot see any evidence to support the christian view. So i am biased but not to the point that i don’t believe in demonic creatures etc, but i see them more as malevolent entities that have a motivation far beyond anything we can comprehend, but this does not mean they come from hell. As i see this viewpoint as childish and i side affect of a sheltered/naive/biased and narrow minded education and view of the world. Please don’t take offense but i just think your environment shapes your views, hence why the religious view of this species is so ingrained in at times a medieval viewpoint. Its funny because in the UK if we had a species like this i simply think we wouldn’t react the same way, maybe because our sinocism and our ” oh ok that’s nice, lets get on with it” attitude helps. Anyway that’s my ten pence and Wes carry on the great work as i remember sitting down and listening to you i think 3 years ago and finally realizing that was a mature and intelligent podcast out there on this subject, but most of all you made me a 100% believer, and when ever i talk to my students at school i always recommend they listen to your podcasts for the truth, i always say to them listen to it for at least 10 episodes and then tell me its all fake.

I believe that the reason their existence has been covered up has many faces and factors, all of which change, gain and lose importance over time. I think most all the reasons spoke about have validity, some more then than now and visa versa. The thing that intrigues me is how so many governments all over the world, Cryptids have been encountered in all corners of civilization, seem to align themselves with the cover-up. Like UFO phenomenon, how can countries that are so different or even at war, agree to keep the information from the civilians?
I understand that they have all done it but doesn’t make it right or easier to understand. Much like how the European people convinced themselves and others that the natives were evil savages and they had the right to erase them from the land that C. Columbus “discovered “.

Why hasn’t there been bodies brought to light in these countries?
What does the Canadian government say about Sasquatch? Theirs China, Nepal, Bhutan, Russia, India, are these governments covering up Bigfoot’s too?
I don’t understand why we don’t see evidence from these other countries? This is the information age isn’t it?

Oh my,oh my, so much to say and so little space to say it in…. I’ll just touch on a few things. To begin with we don’t have to give up our religious beliefs if the government(s) came right out and told us that cryptids do exist and have for a very long time. If they came right out and told us that et’s exist and have for a very long time we still wouldn’t have to give up our religion. The Jewish elders already know and they still believe. The Catholic Church knows and they still believe. I and others have researched the Dead Sea Scrolls, the emerald tablets, the Book of Enoch, the Sumarian tablets, ect, ect…. and I still believe even more than before. So why would governments deny, deny, deny? Well let’s see. There is money, I can’t see where there would be any money in it for them. The idea that tourism and lumber business would be a devistation just doesnt fly. How about power, I can’t see what power could be gained unless it would be technology? The only other thing I could think of is being under threat of catastrophic circumstances. Hmmm, I wonder……..
Then there is the subject of evolution, Adam and Eve were created in the agricultural age according to Genisis. Who
was in charge of who came before? Why were we instructed to not put any other Gods before our God ? Hmmm….
Then there is the question of deathbed confessions of people who supposedly spoke with aliens that have been here since Eisenhower. One man said that it was stated that some Aliens are liars, one faction said that they crossed apes with humans 20,000 years ago. He said the fact that humans have been here since way before then proves they lie. ??????? I wonder how long Sasquatch have been here?????

Carolyn, So you don’t think that the discovery of Sasquatch would do NOTHING to the timber industry? I don’t think so. I look at it this way. If they came out and said they are real then the TREE HUGGERS would be all over it! If they let anybody go out to cut any timber down they would have to get a bunch of people to look at every square foot of it to make sure that Sasquatch didn’t live there. Then if there was a TREE STRUCTURE in there they could say “NOPE no cutting, because they could live here, or come back sometime later”! That’s only one part of it. There’s way more to it, and it’s late.

It’s more than about money, it’s about destroying Darwins theory of Evolution and it also may have Religious implications. All the explanations of our existence, how we came to be will all fall apart and open up the doors to other explanations. (which science and religion do not want us to hear).

I have a theory about the “tree huggers” . No doubt they will appear if the federalies admitted the sasquatch are real . I feel that when they as you say start canvassing areas of the forests to see what areas should be closed to protect said creature, they will fastly change their minds when they are chased out, start disappearing, start being found in pieces and the DOI admits that a large amount of “bear attacks” were purposely misidentified and we’re sasquatch attacks. I honestly didn’t mean the forest industry wouldn’t be effected at all but could all the countries that are covering up the truth be worried about their forestry industry?
Hey guys I could be completely wrong but at least we’re talking about it. We should start a think tank on this subject and also on the subject of one being sacrificed to prove to everyone they exist. Not to the Feds, they already know….. they have killed so many already. We really need to know the pros and cons. The truth will set you free….all of us……

I’m American and definitely a Christian. I totally believe in Sasquatch, but also agree (Ben) that the mainstream church is asleep and don’t know how to think outside of what they’re told in church, unfortunately. Wes has said it many times, that the bible & other books are chock full of strange, but true things. I remember reading about Joshua’s command to kill ’em all, and crying (literally) at the notion of that, not understanding why. There’s a lot in the bible we don’t understand, and just pass over. I also believe that a lot of the scripture is time locked, or unlocked when it’s time, such as the words of Daniel.
I’m of the opinion that ‘disclosure’ is on the horizon, and people should know what they believe in before that happens. You don’t have to go very deeply today before you realize what the different theories propose humans are. There are many things coming up that will blow a lot of unprepared people away. I think Wes is right in step with the times, and doing a lot of people much good. If we can wake up to this reality, we can open our eyes to other truths as well. And none of it distracts me from the Lord of Lords. Just saying.

Theres also the trust and control issue- if Govt has covered something up for years and then admits it people will lose even more confidence in govt as an institution if thats possible,especially too as people may well begin to ask about why so many people have gone unaccountably missing in the forests and demand to know why they werent warned of a potential hasard and some may even reach for their attorneys The episode where a vet and her husband attend an injured sas after its been hit with a snow plough and then she is threatened with loss of all contracts if she talks reveals just how pervasive the cover up is,right through administration and law enforcement.(Indeed Dr Miller of the Miller document if thats genuine???? as another professional couldnt talk about it either) so even if a team able to call them in as 1 or 2 Bigfoot Outlaws claim they can and in complete secrecy did safely!! get a body and was able to get it out which is a huge ask in terms of planning, knowledge ,resources and project security, every outlet to disseminate information would be swiftly closed down and materials confiscated just like the problems suffered by Big Thicket researchers.Getting that information out to the public anonymously – and that very anonymity will invite all the trolls screaming hoax- and in ways which cant be tracked or closed and which passes reality tests as well as to independent clinics or research labs probably only out of the US is a 3rd huge hurdle. Indeed it would be the heist of the century and isnt going to happen… There wasnt even money enough for the Falcon Project or it was knobbled…

re: Religion …. Much of what is in the Old Testament, Greek Gods, Roman Gods and Egyptians all seem to have origins in Sumerian Text. Many stories line up with what they documented, well before these other civilizations were around. All of those religions/beliefs seem to have common roots, based on what the Sumerians wrote about our creation and why we came into existence. We are unique in this world.
