Man Spots ‘Neanderthal’ in North Carolina

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — A man in North Carolina says he recently encountered a being that resembled a “Neanderthal”.

Bernard Tillman on Thursday told Cryptozoology News that he was with his dog in the Kings Mountain area in November 2015 when he came across the creature.

“I was taking our dog for his daily ride,” said the 66-year-old retired man. “It was 6 p.m., we were approaching a small creek on the down grade of the road and I was looking at the 4-feet saplings where they had cut all the trees down.”

Tillman believes the unidentified being did not see him and his dog coming.

“There he stood, we must have surprised because he was just standing real still, the sun was setting between me and him,” he explained about the claimed 30-second encounter.

The North Carolina resident describe the creature as a 10-feet-tall humanoid walking on two legs.

“He was huge. He was massive in the back and chest. His hair looked black. From the side profile, his neck, his head, his nose and his lower jaw… he looked just like a Neanderthal.”

I can look out my back door and see Kings Mountain. I’m gonna have to take a better look around the area. The crazy thing is Kings Mountain is about 25mins from Charlotte NC. It’s crazy to think that something that large could possibly be so close!!!

I’d love a show devoted to Bigfoot nutrition…I’m a believer 100% but what boggles my brain is how they deal w the cold and feeding….that’s a lot of body mass to feed and these guys are all muscle not a lot of fat/blubber for insulation….do they hibernate? Migrate south? Build makeshift insulated shelters for warmth? The hair seems thinner than other winter animals…I’m just amazed they put away enough food to maintain that kind of musculature year round. In the Summer they get eaten alive! Spend June and July in Maine or any Northern teir state…the black flies and mosquitos will drive animals literally insane….maybe the hair and mud helps repel the insects but they’ll still find the fleshy bits…..I’m in awe of these creatures survival skills.

It seems to be a recurring theme. Surprising a BF near rivers and streams. The noise from the flowing water might be masking the sound of humans thus surprising the creature. It’s always the same thing, they have a look of surprise , they usually have the upper hand.

Crowder’s Mountain State Park is in the south east corner of Kings Mountain area so I’m betting this is where this thing resides.

With a little over 5 thousand acres to hide in I’m sure there’s plenty of food and shelter for it.

Dear Christian L; I think you’re spot on. When I was a young man, I could and did, go off into the wood’s from time to time, and survived just fine. You’re correct though-about the insects and their effect on people and critters’. The do drive you nuts! That being said, there’s a lot a human can do to prevent them from biting and buzzing, if you don’t mind getting a little dirty, and you don’t even have to use the nasty repellents’; you just have to be prepared. You can study old survival manuals, and Native American remedies, and you can do just fine. I’ve heard mosquitos buzzing so loud on a warm, quiet night, that you’d swear that someone left an amplifier turned on with out the music! I’ve seen horse, deer, and little black flies, that I would give testimony to the fact that they can bite their way through a leather boot! The things I always hated were the dang wolf-wood spider’s!! Big enough to take a shotgun blast to stop em in their tracks! Hate em!
I know our furry friends of the forest, also have some tricks up their sleeves’. but I know what you mean. I’ve seen the effect black flies and ticks can have on natures finest! It’s an ugly one! Still, a creature as intelligent as a Big-foot, more than likely defends himself-second nature. That’s how they were raised and taught. Besides all that, they’re pretty tough customers. Living underground or in caves would only help their survival. A little cool and damp perhaps, but if that’s what they are accustomed to, no biggie. As far as food goes, how many cows, horses, goats, pigs, sheep, and people go missing each year? Tens of thousands? How does it get reported in the local 5:00? Most of the time it doesn’t. Except when it’s a beautiful blonde from a prominent family. So, there you go. Plenty of “stuff” out there for the appetites’ of the Big Shaggies’!

Jesus, ten feet OMG. I know if I ever see something that big, I would do one thing, crap myself. Just think what we could learn, maybe we humans are not from planet earth originally. These hominids like the late Lloyd Pye states these Bigfoot like creature were always here the four types and us humans were made from some alien DNA project. Makes you wonder what the truth actually is.
