A listener writes “After many years of listening to your show, I feel like it’s finally time to share what happened to me when I was 13 years old, back in 2000.
First off, let me tell you that I am an avid hunter. Hunting is one of those things that gets passed down through generations, and it is something I cherish deeply. I’ve experienced a lot of loss in my life, so my heart is sensitive to those things. Hunting and especially hunting with my father is one of the more positive things I do with my time. It helps me get a little bit of a leg up on the loss that life can sometimes bring.
Chasing whitetail bucks is what my dad taught me, and nowadays, I hunt mostly mule deer. My most recent encounter was probably around 2018–2019.
Over the years, I’ve experienced quite a few strange things. During my main encounter, I was bluff-charged and essentially escorted out of an area. I saw the creature’s head and shoulders clearly. I’ve also seen vividly clear tracks in the mud and had a rock thrown at me. Before the rock was thrown, I had a brief visual encounter with something that appeared to be following me and my dad.
I’ve also encountered what looked like a canopy-type structure in the main canyon where I hunt. Other members of my family have seen it as well. I’ve heard what I can only describe as jibberish chatter and have heard owl mimics while I was with my middle brother. On that occasion, we also encountered a tree structure followed by wood knocks.
I’ve even seen a ball of light with my dad and brothers down in our main canyon. We were driving home one night after hunting all day. Looking back, I’ve come to believe that it may have been one of the strange lights people talk about nowadays.
I’ve also heard and felt something charge right past me without ever seeing a thing very similar to what you and your brother experienced.
Let me also add that I’m very fond of the area you’re from. I once moved to Battle Ground and lived with a wonderful Christian family when I was in the 8th grade. I’ve also spent a lot of time at the Clark County Fair.
My father was an ag teacher, and I showed cattle and sheep in Washington and Oregon, mainly. So I have a lot of fond memories of that area.
There’s a lot more to the story, but I figured I’d finally reach out and share some of what I’ve experienced over the years.”
