“Gilgamesh” Found Buried In Iraq

Archaeologists in Iraq believe they may have found the lost tomb of King Gilgamesh – the subject of the oldest “book” in history.

The Epic Of Gilgamesh – written by a Middle Eastern scholar 2,500 years before the birth of Christ – commemorated the life of the ruler of the city of Uruk, from which Iraq gets its name.

Now, a German-led expedition has discovered what is thought to be the entire city of Uruk – including, where the Euphrates once flowed, the last resting place of its famous King.

    Interestingly enough Enkidu, while often depicted with horns, is described in the Epic of Gilgamesh as being a giant hairy hominoid with amazing strength and speed. Sounds familiar…

    Doesn’t make sense to me that Gilgamesh lived before Noah. I think he wrote about things that had already taken place but just rendered his own version. However, that he became friends with a giant hairy wildman does make some sense but why then are most of the giant hairy wildmen (Sasquatch) over here in the America’s and not in the Middle East?
