“Bigfoot” sightings claimed by residents of small North Carolina town

(FOXNews)–Just in time for the summer tourism season some folks in the town of Littleton, North Carolina are claiming Bigfoot is back. Yes, several residents say they’ve spotted “Sasquatch” running in the woods in all his– its?– long hair, furry glory.

Tiffanie Merril says she spotted “it” in her backyard while looking through her kitchen window, “I literally could see him from all the way over here. I started hearing it, hearing it. It was very large and its hair was super long and it was running so fast.”

Although Littleton is home to a museum dedicated to Bigfoot and all things paranormal, the museum’s curator says other residents have been reluctant to come forward. Stephen Barcelo says, “There’s a lot of people in this town who’s had sightings who still won’t come talk to us because just out of fear of being ridiculed. And that’s very common.”

Barcelo says he found abnormal footprints and took a cast which is now displayed in the museum. He also says local rangers, four of them, were unable to identify the footprint. But he’s pragmatic, “We’re putting Littleton on the map, which is good. And that’s for a positive reason and a fun reason.”

It’s the same on Vancouver island in BC where I live. Some of my good friends have seen big foot and also taken pictures of huge foot prints. Where I live we are surrounded by forest and mountains very much a perfect home for big foot. Still, people don’t want to admit they are real

Same tongue-in-cheek attitude by press. “just in time for tourism season”. Give me a break. It would be better if they didn’t showcase the story at all.
