Another Large Rock Was Launched Into The Lake

A listener writes “Me and my buddy were fishing on LOTW out of Nestor falls Ontario last week, and had strange encounters two nights in a row.

The first night it was basically dark and we were fishing our last spot when from the woods it sounded like a moose or a bear or something very large charging through the woods towards the shoreline, but stopped just before it would’ve been visible.

At this point we’re both looking for some animal to come out of the tree line but instead either large tree or tree branches started shaking heavily, at that point we thought we saw a large fish swirl in front of the shaking area. A minute later my buddy saw a rock going through the air splashing next to the other spot that we thought was a fish swirling, which leads me to believe the first swirl was a rock as well.

We had that feeling of something or someone watching us as well, but it’s pretty remote. The 2nd night just to check we decided to go fish that spot last again at dark to see if we could see something similar again. Within 5 minutes of being back another large rock was launched into the lake about 50-70 yards away from the ones the previous night. Very Erie. We both were startled and felt unsettled trying to think what could throw dinner plate to fire pit sized rocks. I told my brother about this who’s a fan of your show and he told me to email you my story. We also have footage/audio of the first night with the tree shakes and what we thought was a fish swirl.”

I am an avid fisherman and I am always fascinated with the agression demonstrated during fishing encounters. Maybe they percieve a fishing rod and lure as some kind of weapon. They probably see the fisherman land fish and from their perspective they see a weapon that somehow gets tossed and then the fish gets retrieved back.

Hi John, I’ve wondered that myself ever since my first experience while catch and release bass fishing. The “Ohio howl” sound and the sound of several large trees crashing to the ground from different directions, I say “sound of trees” because we didn’t actually see them fall, so I like to stick to the facts.

We were catching bass almost every cast but it was a pretty remote lake and a long walk in (definitely not a lot of fishing pressure), and not that summer bass make good table fare anyway, just fun, especially top water.

Early on I had wondered if we were led to believe we weren’t invited to their dinner table near sunset when they were ready to eat, or if we were being perceived as harming the fish for the sake of fun… so much has happened since then that I’m not sold on either of those ideas anymore.

We only have a limited number of boxes to put these beings or experiences in when it could be a combination of them or even a box much harder to comprehend (our past, present and future holds too much disinformation, a lack of accessible recorded facts and a lackluster understanding of the universe or realms we aren’t privy to).

For all I know, such things could be a forced hallucination imposed upon people within a certain range of distance or to people that land within certain parameters we don’t readily see (such as spirituality, heritage, state of mind, prior abductees???).

All I know right now is that I’ll probably have a bad back after today from trying to make the basement of my house look decent so the new water meter can be installed soon… what I wouldn’t give for the ceiling to be 3 inches taller down there. My head is gonna look like a ball of cotton candy from all the cobwebs down there before it’s over, I just know it👳‍♂️… yeah, I’m thankful for a house but I really know how to put the “moan” in homeowner…TMI, whatever lol

      Happy fishing!

      Hi Lynn,

You could be onto something. Maybe it boils down to jealousy just because we’re human and they’re not.

I like the creative thinking going on:)

Maybe it’s only the fungible humans and animals that go missing… the rest of you better start pulling your weight, like Lynn 😬

My first thought is that it was a beaver slapping its tail in the water, but if the guy physically saw the large rock flying, that’s pretty impressive.

So before I go in the basement and look like 1967 Godzilla wrapped in the webs of Kumonga I have one last thought.

Sometimes in the desperate search of a truth the biggest mystery lies within not knowing exactly what we’re up against, it’s origin or it’s agenda.

I view ever evolving speculations or ideas about the potential truth as being mostly a positive thing, especially when it comes to a hidden agenda. It forces the perpetrators from wearing the same old masks and playing the same roles with the same results.

Just as you might find at a magic show, the magician knows that timing and misdirection is everything when it comes to believability. When part of the trick is exposed the trick is modified (if it’s a really good one) but sometimes even abandoned or used much less often.

Now look back at unexplained creatures or mysteries. I see this correlation with magic. Between what is most believed standing the test of time and seen often, (sometimes with slight modifications), compared to the ones most of us weren’t really believing for any amount of time that sort of faded away or are now scarcely seen.

It just seems odd that whatever boxcars are connected to this train we happen to be pulling, that same thing is more often seen crossing the tracks.

Just something to consider:) And delay me a remake scene from the movie Arachnophobia😳

Ron in response to your comment:
“Sometimes in the desperate search of a truth the biggest mystery lies within not knowing exactly what we’re up against, it’s origin or it’s agenda.”
I had a man jump onto my windshield March 2023, in order to claim a car accident and collect insurance monies from my insurance company. It was his way of getting my vehicle involved after trying to cause an accident with me and failing. Talk about a mystery before I had determined his motive, I was looking for him to pull a gun thinking him to be a demoniac. Thus, desperate search of a truth, and not knowing exactly what we’re up against, it’s origin or it’s agenda. We are going to court, holding out to prove fraud and not settling.
The other response I had to the comments above (and I haven’t read the account yet but am excited to do so) is that my very experienced woodsman and fisherman brother Brad gave me an account of what he heard (without actually seeing) on the bank of his favorite and ever so remote fishing spot in Missouri. He heard feet running heavy on hard soil, a big splash as though something big had jumped into the deep river he fishes, a flapping sound and screams from multiple creatures, as something first hit the bank and then flapped as in the sound a large beached fish might make with its fins, then more splashing as though something is headed up from the water onto the bank, and a tossing and catching sound, then finally more multiple, excited, gleeful screams. It was a family of sasquatch and fish for dinner. The daddy was the fisherman, and we are guessing he jumped in and threw a fish onto the bank, then he got out of the river and threw that fish to his family members. Yes, I love fisherman’s stories re squatch because fishermen are treated differently than hunters…my brother high tailed it “outta there”. Thanks for letting me share.
