Berkshire County, Massachusetts
On Saturday Sept 5th of 2015, my wife and I were driving north in our RV on route 7 very close to the Vermont state line. It was about 1:00 in the afternoon. My wife saw an animal on the west side of the road. The animal was about 50 yards from the edge of the highway. What caught her attention was that the animal was walking upright. It was very tall ( well over seven feet ). The animal’s fur was black. It was most definitely not a bear. We are both mystified as to what this animal could possibly be.

Spoke with 72 year-old female witness via telephone. Witness states she was a passenger in the front seat of their large motor home with her husband driving, traveling about 40 mph. She looked to the left out thru the windshield and observed a tall black, bipedal creature walking a steady pace in an open field, height estimated at 9 ft. It was a 4-5 second brief observation. Witness described the creature as very large on two feet with long arms down by its sides. Walking a smooth steady pace and heading in the same direction as her, North. At this location the Hoosic River runs along this route as well. There was a tree line it was heading towards. The creature was about 150 yards away from their vehicle and she got a clear, brief look at it. She compares what she observed to the subject in the Patterson-Gimlin film.

Route 7 seems to have alot of sightings from Ma into Vermont. Rt. 7 goes up past Glastonbury mountain which has a history of sightings and missing persons dating back to the colonial period. Native Indians avoided it altogether.

There was also a man driving to work east bound on route #2, maybe ten miles from this encounter, he was going to work around 1 am or so and saw it standing next to the road not far from the Mohawk statue, this was in 2006 I believe… I know the area well, in fact I had a job at Williams college a month before the 2015 sighting..

When I was younger oh 20 years ago I was on October mt the four corners theres a old cematary there people say its haunted me and a couple other went it supposed to upset the ghost but crap happened but I now think it was bigfoot 2 infact circling you see trees shaking branches snapping rocks and clods of mud being thrown and whoops and whistles

If you check the BFRO in 1989 a man watched a bf on October mountain for about 20 minutes, he had elevation and binoculars, he watched it digging threw a log..
