This isn’t far from where I live, and we know the owners. It’s a beautiful place to stay.
I can (almost) vouch that you won’t run into a Sasquatch in these parts. Can’t say the same for farther inland, however.

I live in the Mid West, so I can’t completely disagree with you. All I’d say is based upon my experience and what I’ve studied; it wouldn’t surprise me if Sasquatch is closer than you think.
