Witness sues state to get species recognized

I spoke with Claudia earlier today and she has agreed to come on the show. Here is the article:

Crestline resident Claudia Ackley isn’t sure, but she is certain she and her daughters encountered three of the hirsute bipeds while hiking on a trail in Lake Arrowhead last March.

It was dusk, between 6:30 and 7 p.m., on March 27, to be exact. Ackley and her 11- and 14-year-old daughters were hiking the winding trail when Ackley’s daughters, several yards ahead, froze in their tracks, gazing wide-eyed at a large, shadowy figure braced in a pine tree. Ackley ran to her daughters to see what they were staring at.

“I ran into a Sasquatch – a Bigfoot. We were face to face,” said Ackley, 46. “He was 30 feet up in the tree.”

She said the creature was barrel-chested, with a head three times the size of a human’s, and appeared to weigh about 800 pounds.

“He looked like a neanderthal man with hair all over him. He had solid black eyes. He had no expression on his face at all. He did not show his teeth. He just stared at the three of us,” said Ackley. She said she made a howling “whoop” sound, and the creature in the tree reacted by rocking back and forth, shaking branches. That’s when Ackley told her daughters to turn and slowly walk away. She said her youngest daughter, who shot video of the alleged encounter on her phone, later told her mother she saw two other similar creatures on the ground, running away upon their approach.

After being told by insistent forest rangers they had seen a bear, and believing she would never be taken seriously by anyone in an official capacity, Ackley, a Bigfoot enthusiast and researcher of more than 20 years, teamed up with documentary filmmaker Todd Standing, the man behind the Netflix film Discovering Bigfoot, and sued the state in San Bernardino Superior Court on Jan. 18.

What is it with the BFRO? I’ve read a number of negative comments from various other places that seem to indicate a rather petty attitude from them at times. Do they aspire to being the be-all-and-end-all of Bigfoot research investigations?

I know right? Can you imagine having your children along for a nice walk then bam! And when you report it, you’re laughed at. What!? Good for her!

Finally in 1991, Whatcom County, Washington, a neighboring community to Skamania County, declared the entire area, about a million acres of land, a Sasquatch Protection and Refuge Area, creating the first ever Bigfoot sanctuary. Washington isn’t the only state that has laws protecting that being said and a two time BF witness she is barking up a tree that wont get her any where. I wish her luck and I dont know who is financing this, but it is futile. The FEDS already have this wrapped up and no judges or jurors will not touch this. Its like proven a double negative. After 48 years of (as you all call investigating this subject) good luck its vapor ware

Her story and video and pics and court documents first appeared on WORLD BIGFOOT RADIO a few weeks ago, in case you want to see the video of the encounter event. I am glad Wes is doing this show, she has exciting updates on who has teamed up with her since the show she and I did was recorded and aired, and how the initial court date is shaping up! Go Claudia, and thank you Wes!

Are lawsuits going to do anything other than create more ridicule?
And i think BFRO is in govt pocket. I think they aid in coverups of all the “bear” sightings. Maybe im too conspiracy minded, but seems to line out.

I think bringing the public servants that discount and insult witnesses to task in a court proceeding will not bring ridicule by itself. Of course officials will try to defend their “work “ by undermining a persons credibility, it’s up to the people, who’s taxes pay their salaries, to stand behind them and say we want the truth.

It’s long overdue that our government stops deciding what knowledge or decisions we can “handle” or have a say in and truly be by the people, for the people.
