I’m emailing to ask if you know of any recordings of Sasquatch imitating bird sounds. Reason being: last night, my girlfriend and I were out camping in some state forestry in Putnam Co, New York (about an hour north of NYC) and we had a very freaky experience that spooked us so bad that we actually bailed and got a hotel room.
Long story short: we heard what sounded like a person cycling through a series of bad impressions of different bird calls on a bluff about fifty yards away.
It freaked both of us out really bad and we were trying to decide what to do but it eventually subsided and we decided to stay. No sooner had we decided to stay than something started walking straight towards the campsite on two legs about fifteen yards away.
That scared the daylights out of us and that’s when we decided to bail. There’s more details of course, and I’d be happy to chat with you if you’d like. But for now I’m just trying to find a recording to see if there’s anything that matches what we heard and am not having much luck. Do you know of anything?”

These things are definitely in NY. My wife and I were roared at in the Catskills. Last thing I ever expected in what I perceived as tame mountains for city folk and their weekend getaways. Hudson valley is a strange place

Curious if it was the same creature making different bird type calls, or maybe several creatures in same area calling back and forth. Only asking because there were 3 creatures when I heard them making loud bird calls (actually quite good calls but louder) back in July 4 time frame 2am in Iosco county, MI, part of the Huron National Forest. Then a far away Ohio Howl came out and all got quiet.

“We heard someone” and “it sounded like a person”. Likely you have the answer to your own question. There are many, many more people in the woods than there are BF.

When These guys vocalize the volume is so tremendous that there’s no doubting what your experiencing.
