Watch: North Carolina Sasquatch Sighting

The Shelby native says he saw an apelike creature dart across the road during a trip through the hills below South Mountains State Park Tuesday evening. Byers and friend Carolyn Wright had planned to watch for paranormal phenomena at an old church graveyard when the shrouded, shuffling figure crossed their path.

“She was hollering, ‘What is it, what is it?’ and I couldn’t even speak,” Byers said. “It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. It looked like it was about 300 pounds and it was somewhere close to 7 feet tall. It came out of the field and came through the briars and bushes onto the road.”

Byers snapped photographs and recorded a brief video of the sighting with a pocket digital camera. As is often the case with footage of the camera-shy sasquatch, Byers’ film is blurry and indistinct. He said the darkening sky made clearer pictures impossible, but he’s convinced the creature was genuine.

“I saw its private parts,” he said. I don’t think it was anybody in a suit or anything like that. It was definitely male.”

    Well, I think the “witness” accidentally admitted that it is a hoax. When he mentioned seeing the male parts he said “I could tell it was a man” and then he quickly changed that statement to “it was a male.” The footage was horrible and probably the worst impersonation of a Bigfoot that I have seen. Next!

    Completely unbelievable! ……Unless, of course, Bigfoots have learned to walk like people in monkey suits in order to discourage additional attention from human investigators!

      I’m no expert: ……But like many here, I have spent the last couple of decades looking at videos that have been presented on the internet, and recently, I have been closely following the analysis videos made by people like “ThinkerThunker”.

      ….And as a result, I have learned to look at things like arm/leg length ratios, and the degree of knee bend in comparison to a human model.

      This video fails all of the tests I have learned to apply. (…..But I am always anxious to hear from a REAL expert concerning the errors of my ways!)

    Another youtuber posting a fake video. That’s all it is. I especially like at the end he looks away and tries to hide a laugh. Should be marked ” for entertainment purposes only”

    It’s interesting it takes approximately 7 steps for a large bellied elderly gentleman to step across 1/2 the road, and the ‘creature’ took 6 skips to get across the other half. Kinda hard to imagine this terror of the forest, to be terrifying, when it can barely move faster then a slow moving man, and runs like you see some gang banger with his pants down around his thighs.
    I agree with others, if the evidence is questionable, you toss it out as evidence.

    Yeah, when I saw the video, my heart sank. ???? Clearly a man in a very poorly made, & fitting, costume. I liked his description tho, of “seeing its private parts”, and what a filthy butt crease it had! ????. My first thought was Wes saying, “It’s a damn dirty Ape!” ????

    This dude is out looking for dead people near a church……then he spots bigfoot’s junk on the way back??? Does he have a moonshine still anywhere near that area?
