Watch: Man trying to run away from a attacking Bear

It was a usual day, I decided tо cycle in the forest and to record my walk on the Gopro. To my great surprise, I met a bear. Thanks God, I left alive due to the shots that thundered not far from that location!

Not Sasquatch related but very interesting to watch –

That was crazy scary … amazing that bear did not see him behind that small tree. Sometimes I think it just is not our time and events that should go wrong turn a different way …

I think the bear saw him behind the tree. He was about to be lunch or get his head ripped off. Whats scary is how fast that bear was. He was moving pretty fast on that bike and when he stopped the bear was right there. No way you could out run one on foot. Just think sasquatch are said to be much faster and even faster on all 4s. Scary! !!

That was crazy! It got my blood pumping just watching it! People should not be out in predator country without a gun! That was a big bear! And I seriously doubt he wanted a hug! And what was the only thing that stopped it? A gun shot!

Holy #%^*£~!!!! I can’t believe that. How lucky was he that shots were fired when they were ? Also , isn’t that odd bear behavior ? Good thing it was on four legs and not carrying a flute !!! Lol. I kill me. Sorry Wes.

    I call this fake.
First, this was posted as happening in the Catskills, where there are no grizzly bears.
Second, a grizzly bear can easily overtake a bicycle on flat terrain in the woods.
Third, that first sideways look at the bear was too close for the chase shown. The bike was only two or three seconds from a takedown by the bear, which can charge at 35 to 40 mph.

For a guy being chased by a large bear just feet away, he doesn’t breathe in a particularly panicked or even disturbed way. If it’s real, this is the coolest cucumber I’ve encountered in some time.

It has a CGI feel to me, not that I have the necessary skills to make that call or anything. That’s just what I feel.

    But hey, maybe I’m jaded.

I say this is a fake. The chase seemed to be over a couple hundred metres, the bear wasn’t even panting, but I don’t really know crap about bears. What was stupid was the guy got off the bike??? My first response was idiot!!!! You just reduced your getaway speed by a 1/3, 8-10 km/h on foot against 20-30km/h on the bike. The bear wasn’t gaining on the cyclist but at that speed the bear would have been on him within a couple of seconds once the bike stopped.
If I was being chased by a brown bear I would be going over, through or around that little branch across the track.
The clip did have a huge laugh factor. I couldn’t stop laughing everytime the dude looked back and the bear was right there.
I have a really sick sense of humour.

i put it as a high probability it’s a fake/hoax video. the way the bear is captured perfectly in frame when the biker turns hid head backward two times, the way the biker barely makes noise or breathes hard when riding away, and a few other minor issues. i could be wrong, but if I was betting money on this, the odds that it’s fake are greater than the odds it’s legit.
