This was taken in East Texas by Clay Smith. This was recorded with Generation 1 night vision from 15 feet away. The person who filmed this was not sure he was looking at anything but thought he saw something moving on a hill top. If the video does not load below click here.

Wow. If this is not quackery, then it’s very compelling. And creepy. Those definitely appear to be eyes staring at the videographer.
Roy B
If it is something then why is the video cut short, why doesn’t he continue to video the subject ????
Wes
I personally know the people who were there that night and something was pacing these guys and it came in for a closer look. The guy running the recording had never used the equipment before and was trying to figure out how to use it and film. I only wish this thing would have stood up
Gabriel H
Agreed. Impressive nonetheless
Steve W
As usual with these videos, I wasn’t able to see squat-ch.
Tristene M
Me either.
Tristene M
Was it lying down? On it’s side? Turned sideways? Please help me see what I’m looking for in the dark shape. I can’t tell if it’s dirt or a life or ??? I’m not being fecicious I really would like to know.
Robert H
Looks like a cluster of blur to me too

Wes when the video zooms in it looks like the creature is laying down and the eyeshine is vertical, but the distance or the gap between the eyeshine is what interests me, what would have that?
Frankie P
Wow. I think I like generation 1 better than the newer ones I’ve seen. It’s really pretty clear. Great video.
Charles M
This looks like a Cougar to me, you can see his ears. At 15 ft you’re putting yourself in extreme danger, you have exactly zero reaction time at that distance.
PATRICK
Danger close. .glad someone does this. Cause it ain’t me.
Robert P
Good one
Zach S
Wow that’s awesome. That’s one brave camera man!
Audie J
Holy sh*t! Too close for me…. Yikes!
Damon M
We’re those fingers at the end?
Getting pretty close for the thing not to react…
Michael K
I think i have that stuffed gorilla, he don’t move or blink either, see todd he’ll make it move.
Kim
OMG! I see eyes looking back at me. I would be reversing out of there fairly quickly!
Tyler D
I think it would’ve been great if it stood up. It seemed like it was laying flat on it’s stomach. Does anybody know how close this guy got to it when he was recording this? Or was he just zooming in, a lil hard to tell
Dave T
If it indeed is a BF, it just shows how stealthy these things are and will let us walk right past them if they feel they are hid or unseen. People would probably freak if they knew how close they’ve been to these creatures in the woods and had no idea they were there. I just wonder how close and how many times I’ve been near these things and I didn’t have a clue I walked right past them. They are forest ninjas .
KID YOWIE
another large out of FOCUS MONSTER roaming the country side once more!
KEEP EM COMING! LOL
Janetta V
Sure appeared to be a squatch to me. Laying low and being sly, just waiting for something innocent to come along and grab. Thanks Wes
Kent C
If that was, in fact, a BF playing “hide & peek”, then I have to say that the inexperienced operator equipped with Gen1 equipment did a pretty good job!
Gen1 Night Vision stuff is better than nothing at all; …..But that’s about it. Unless you have a really bright moon-lit night, you will need to use an additional Infra-Red light source to see any real detail or distance.
It looks to me as though some additional IR illumination was being used to make this video, ……and there is a problem with that: ….Field people have suspected for years that BF can see further into the IR range of wavelengths than we can; ……Making our IR supplemented Night Vision as obvious to a BF as a regular flashlight would be to us. (….This is the reason “Trail Cams” are usually hopeless for documenting BF.)
So, ………If that really was a BF hiding there, he was probably in “Escape & Evade Mode” from the very first moment the IR illuminator was switched on! (…….And consequently making every effort to be much less obvious and “photogenic”!)

This footage was actualy taken from about 8 ft away. The filmer was on the hill and the squatch was lying down. All you can see is the head one eye (refecting from the IR), the left shoulder and the hand. This is Generation 1 night vision. No this thing did not move, but there was a lot going on the night it was filmed.
