Spoke to the witness and he has agreed to come on the show. He said that he was playing with his friends late one night on a property. The witness said “I was sitting on the fence joking around with my friends. We heard what sounded like someone with bare wet feet running up the paved road. I just heard slap..slap..slap..and around the corner comes this thing. It wasn’t big like people say. I would put it at about 5 feet tall and covered in hair. It was on two legs and running like a man in our direction. The moment we saw it everyone started screaming.”

Spoke to Amie who is from Ohio. She saw something when she was a young child she describes as the monkey lady. Amie says “It happened on my property and I was very young and it was brief. I remember seeing this creature and told my mother I had seen a monkey lady. 50 years later I started to really look into this subject. I was setting out food and hiking through an area where I had found strange structures. It was fun or so I thought. I felt someone watching me and turned around and I just remember looking up and up and up. The face was terrible, it had a look of disgust on its face. I was terrified. Something had made a noise in the bushes over my shoulder and I glanced in that direction and looked back and this thing was gone. it was strange and it upsets me to this day to talk about it.”

I think there’s a whole new sense of fear when you see “the face”. We as humans look primarily at each other’s faces to read emotion and when you see this creature’s face…..it’s shocking, frightening and something you carry with you. It’s hard to explain.

Denise, I think you are spot on. Wes always does a fantastic job of bringing the witness back to the details, especially the facial features. Also, the distance between the witness and the creature(s) is a very important variable. When we see a person’s face at 200 yards, it is much different than seeing their face at 10 yards. The sense of fear that you describe is compounded by the level of detail, proximity and eye contact. Good post.

Joyce, I live in Ohio also. Wes had a guest that reported a sighting from the 70s in Morrow county. I really feel that it is my favorite encounter because of the level of detail given by the witness, who now has PTSD from the even. This encounter took place about 5 miles from where I lived in the 80s.

There was a story from the 80’s in jefferson county about a young boy and his grandfather who were out squirrel hunting and they saw one of these creatures. Turns out it was in the hollow behind our house. When we moved in there were nights i couldn’t sit on the back porch because I felt too uncomfortable.
