Two men in Kentucky captured the images of a creature

Kirk Stokes, 44, told Cryptozoology News Wednesday that he was with his friend Parker Duvall checking out an area where they had previously noticed “activity” when they recorded the footage about 300 yards away from the alleged subject.

“We noticed movement, it moved in the thickets on the hill we zoomed in on it,” said Stokes, who has been interested in the cryptid since he had his first encounter with a similar creature in 1991 out of Spencer County.

The one-minute video shows what appears to be an animal moving behind the thick vegetation, just about 150 miles away from where he claims the first sighting occurred. Stokes says it was clearly watching them from the bushes.

“In the video, you can see the eyes change,” he explains.

Stokes says the creature was about 8 feet tall and had red hair on most of its body, except for the gray face. Its head, he said, was not the commonly reported cone-shaped skull but rounder and with a “deep brow”.

He explains he didn’t think of approaching the animal because it appeared it was aware of the two men.

“I did feel he was a just feeling out the situation. It was there for a minute then kept going, which shook me, because it meant he might have been ticked off. It had to be 800 to 900 pounds.”

The Kentucky man uses an older Panasonic video camera but he says he will be getting a better and newer model soon so that he can provide better quality footage next time.

“The biggest complaint I have is that I always uploaded my off the camera screen, but because I don’t have a computer,” says Stokes. “That will change soon. I still think the shot is good.”

I hope you guys realize that these comments are the reason why people are reluctant to share what they have. I have seen his Utube site and recommend checking it out because he has caught several bizarre pics and videos. Ease up fellas or produce better…

Theodus S. Can you blame them for criticizing this video? It looks like he didn’t really want us to see anything the way he continually panned the camera. And zooming in that tight just makes t worse not better.. Maybe it’s a squatch but this video doesn’t help that claim AT ALL, Why’s even submit it? There are plenty. Of this type and now there’s one more.????????????????

Would love to see it stabalized and with the photographer telling us where and what to look for. Can’t be sure what I’m seeing or if I’m projecting but I think I saw an eye blink.

Can someone please, please, please tell me what, in the name of everything that I find pure and holy, am I looking at. I feel like I just got cheated out of a minute ten seconds of my life that I can never get back. I would love to know how he got such a detailed description of the “creature” from that far away. I need to see the footage he is holding back, because I know he didn’t get that description from this piece of footage. I don’t see it.

Kirk keeps doing this. I understand what you mean Theodus but Kirk is a keen sasquatch hunter and yet after years and years he is STILL taking videos of a small rubbishy compact video which has abit a 2×2 pixel display with extra blur. He seems to constantly have something brilliant to show us which is ALWAYS out of view and done with a camera that must be attached to a string on a bendy fishing rod in a windstorm.

He should know if he wants people to take him seriously invest in some better equipment. He knows what the sasquatch community is like. He knows we get fake after fake so have to keep on our toes so he must know this video isn’t good enough. Not in this day and age where you can have a camera on mars take a picture of spider in a living room in full HD 1080p quality (of course I am exaggerating). RANT OFF.

I saw it blink and turn its head to the side, and then it looked like it just stepped back. For such a distance it was really good. Holding these dang cameras still is a real problem! Love to see some screen shots of it, though.

Sorry Theodus….but it’s not the fault of those commenting…it’s the fault of those who make claims and then release a video like this that was apparently done in a 150 mph hurricane. It’s laughable that this Kirk guy couldn’t keep the camera remotely still. It’s laughable that he uses an excuse of an old camera. It’s just laughable…period. I’ve seen plenty of pretty good footage on this and other sites that don’t get mocked. This isn’t one of them. It deserves to get blasted.

      Thanks Chris
Crap videos like this are precisely why this subject isn’t taken seriously. I realize that most people are not trained observers, so I would expect a random encounter fortuitously caught on film to be of marginal quality. However when someone who purports to have had multiple encounters and who routinely goes seeking these creatures cannot produce a clear image of one, I call bullshit.

I can’t take Kirk Stokes seriously because every single one of his videos are horribly out of focus like this. And it just doesn’t seem possible to have as many Sasquatch and Dogman encounters as he claims. If they were as common as he manages to allegedly capture on video there would be no doubt by anyone that they exist.

  8. Jeffrey H

Kirk has been very successful in getting pics of BF & DogMan! “The Man” has even stopped him & bothered him while taken his memory cards, so you know Kirk in on to something. If you don’t believe this video then check out his other work on YouTube and then you might want to come back and rewatch (????)this video again. Then you might just believe he is on to something as I do. Thanks Kirk for your hard work! ????

I don’t know if it is my computer or what. this is the first time I have tried to watch a video on SC and it is completely blacked out. Sounds like others are at least getting a picture, blurry though it may be. I’m getting black and that is it?!

  10. Manuel A

This is sooooo sad, the video and audio is extremelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy bad!!!!
Wes, please do the members a favor? Stop sharing crap within your website.

  11. Steve W

Great, a minute and 10 seconds of constant movement and blurred images. Maybe I’d have seen something if only I’d held onto my Elvira 3-D glasses from 7-11.

  12. Dave T

I can’t say there’s a BF there or not. The quality of the video is so poor. I’m in the camp where if it’s not good video, audio, or pics then don’t release or put it out there for judgement. I think most of us out here are burned out looking at blobsquatches. Roger Patterson gave us the best video almost 50 yrs ago. You’d think we’d have much better footage by now with the advances in technology and equipment.

  13. Russell S

First of all, this video was not taken at 300 yards as reported. I’ve done enough hunting and spotting with scopes and binoculars to be able to recognize that. So either these guys are lousy at judging distance, or were so freaked out that they misjudged the distance because of adrenaline, or this is a hoax. I’d like to believe it was one of the two former choices. I do not know these gentlemen, nor their ethics as Bigfoot researchers, so I will withhold judgement.
I may not be a first class Bigfoot researcher, but I’ve been in the woods to know that at 300 yards looking through any type of a scope, camera, etc. with magnification, you will not see in between leaves and branches as this video does.

  14. Stacy F

In all fairness, it is VERY difficult to hold a camera steady on something when you’re zoomed way in on it, and although I never did see whatever the hell’s supposed to be in this video, I did see once what looked like eyes blinking–however, the above comments are dead on. You can’t make claim after claim and release “evidence” like this and expect people to take it, or you, seriously. Either post it and say what you think it MIGHT be, or don’t put it out there at all.

  15. theodore M

Hey wes, you gonna haveto have a moderator review the posts. The lowlife have a herd mentality and once one posts something insulting then they all start to swarm and burn people down. What about a time delay before posting? And wes thanks for sticking with it. You got real talent.

  16. DonRay

Hey Hey Hey Wes’s responsibility as a Webmaster, is to post “everything” that is not obviously a joke…… He posts them to let us decide and give our opinions… Unfortunately there are going to be idiotic responses……. Its mind over matter,,, We Dont Mind, and they dont matter…… Ciao

  17. Mary W

To me subject appears to have a very visible neck. I’m sure I’d shake like a crap game were I filming this. Looks very well muscled to me . Unless I’m reading the headlines in the paradolia times. ( lol! Small effort at levity.) thanks for sharing . May you be blessed with better film opportunities in your future that u may choose to share with us arm chair squatchers . Be encouraged and keep squatching!

  18. Russell S

Well, consider this. Shaking is more erratic. This has more of a sway to it than being shaky. The Patterson Gimlin film is a good example of shaking. This one almost has the appearance of purposefully truing to keep the viewer from focusing on the subject. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely know that Sasquatch is out there, I just don’t know if this is truly a video of one, or not.

  19. Ted G

At first I thought I saw something, but after reviewing the video a couple of times I could not tell whether there was a living creature or just my mind seeing a pattern in the brush and leaves. I would suggest getting a mono-pole or bipod to steady the camera. They are inexpensive and if you don’t want to invest in one then just make one out of a stick. I have problems steadying any kind of optic so. I constantly look for something either to brace the optical device on or I carry a monopole and lean against a stable object. If you really believe you have something send your original footage to one of the analysts that review videos on YouTube like Paranormal Breakdown, thinker thunker, MK Davis. Whether you agree with there assessment or not at leadt you will get a etabalized and enhanced version of your video. If you don’t have a way to digitize your video make a duplicate tape and send it to them in the mail. There are always ways to solve your issues with just a little effort, that is if you wish to solve the issues in the first place. After reading all the comments, if I felt that what I had to show everyone was really great and they are just missing it, not seeing it, I would do whatever I could to prove my point of view and step up to their challenge. Just my point of view. Good luck with your squatchin’ efforts.

  20. Vinnie G

Kirk Stokes is a great, salt of the Earth dude and humble & honest. This may be blurry & ambiguos, but he’s not a hoaxer.

He has given some great interviews and has additional footage of Sasquatches & Dogmen. His areas are hopping, but he has technological limitations at the moment. I’d say to listen to some interviews of his and look at some of his other video before jumping to conclusions.

He would be an excellent SQ interview and he’s been interviewed on Vic Cundiff’s “Dogman Encounters Radio” among others.

    • Russell S

      Vinnie,
I don’t know the guy, or pretty much anybody here, as I am new to the site. I’m not overly excited by the video, but as I explained, It was not taken at 300 yards. I figure, since you know him and are standing up for his ethics, I will assume that as I said earlier, he either is not good at judging distances, or, because of seeing a Sasquatch, got excited and misjudged the distance.

Watch the video, think of how leaves and branches look through a spotting scope, even one of a 50X magnification. These are way too close, too much detail between the leaves and branches. I would guess that he was 50 to 75 feet, and that may be generous.

It’s hard to tell if someone just had a poor video, or if it’s a hoax without some kind of explanation of what is seen, or perhaps a way to see the terrain better.

But Vinnie, you also have to give people a little leeway, because there are a lot of hoaxes out there. And as someone who wants to get to the truth, I look and listen as a skeptic. I look for discrepancies as well as things that show authenticity. I’m sure that I’m not the only one who does this.

Shoot! I’ve had one experience that I know was Bigfoot, and several where I don’t know for certain what it was that I experienced. I’m even critical of my own evidence! Those questionable incidents will never be contributed to Bigfoot by me, because I can’t say for certain.

So please don’t take it personal. I suggest that you take my story with a grain of salt. I’ve talked to Wes, and I think I’ll share it here in the near future. Then you can poke holes in my story, if you like!
