Tonight’s Show: It was just staring right at me

I will be speaking with two witnesses this evening. My first guest is Casten and he writes “I live in Missouri. Last year I had an very close encounter with a very large bigfoot or what I assume was a bigfoot while turkey hunting in Greenville, Missouri.

I was on a private farm that I have hunted since I was 14 with my father. I drove up there at 4:00 in the morning and got there at around 4:46. Then I proceed to walk up the hill that I assumed the turkeys would be on due to their position the previous year. The turkeys normally start gobbling at about 5:30 so I walked up this pretty good sized hill and sat at the base of a tree. The first gobble I heard was, as I only assume 800 yards away on the other side of the farm, then another, and another. I sat at the base of that tree for another 35 minutes or so.

After I came to the conclusion that I would have to walk all the way across the farm to get to the turkeys that where gobbling I walked back down off of this hill down to the dirt road and then walked the 400 yards or so to the other side of the farm where the turkeys where still gobbling. I cut into the woods and found a pretty decent deer trail and followed it all the way up this monster of a hill. The only reason the hill is so bad is because of all the wild BlackBerry bushes which are green, bendy, and covered in thorns at that time of year. When I got to the top of the hill there was a row of fallen white oaks going almost from the top of the hill down to the bottom of the draw kind of like dominoes.

A tornado had come through there a few years before and taken down all of the big trees so this was normal, I proceeded to walk across the ridge towards the fallen trees. When I got to the edge of one of the big trees I bent down to walk under one of them and as I come out from under the other side this giant thing stood straight up out of a pile of brushy limbs mixed with blackberry thorns about 9 feet away from me, it shot up so fast I actually thought it was a turkey flying up until it stopped at about 9 1/2 10 foot. It was just staring right at me, its legs looked like they where the same width as my shoulders and this things shoulder looked like they where the same width as a larger truck. Its hair kind of differed in length and was a brownish black, about the same color as a beaver or a muskrat it had single white hairs here and there on its legs and around its shoulders. I don’t know if I was in shock or what but for some reason I started to take another step forward.

Right when I moved, this thing shot down the draw. It had to of covered 150 yards in 5 or 6 seconds then it just stopped. When it ran the best way I can describe it is a vibrating, boom boom boom!!!! I work part time at a mechanics shop that only works on heavy machinery and it felt and sounded just like a trakho bucket being brought up and then back down on the ground to compact dirt. Now this next part I can fully explain because I still don’t know why I did it.

After this thing stopped I kept going forward across this ridge. A few yards after I had passed where this thing was standing something down on the bottom of the draw made the longest sound I have ever heard. It sounded like a mixture of a woman screaming mixed the vibration of a base. I reflexed and shouldered my shotgun at the sound and the scream abruptly stopped and turned into the sound of air being sucked in like some with asthma. After that I didn’t hear of see anything else the entire day. I did find a track at the bottom of that draw but it was small enough to be a really big persons. I will email you a pic of it if you want. I had a few other things happen around my house and one othere thing happen on the farm but they didn’t effect me like l this did.”

My second guest is Jon and Jon writes “My sighting, as best I can figure, happened about 1986. One evening after eating dinner, we decided to walk over to the church property and check the fields to see what wildlife we could spot. The wind was blowing in our favor, and my grandfather explained that animals would not catch our scent. He was always teaching me, and telling me stories about his past outdoor adventures. He was a very accomplished hunter and outdoorsman… he taught me a lot growing up. I remember the wind blowing in our faces as we crossed the property line and headed up past an old abandoned house toward the barn that stood at the top of a small hill. We followed the dirt road around the buildings past a small pond toward a large field behind the barn. You couldn’t see past the barn until you crested the hill, and I was eager to spot a few whitetail deer or a few tom turkey. I was not prepared for what I would see, nor will I ever forget it even after 30 years.

We reached the top of the small hill beyond the barn, and I scanned the field. The meadow was perhaps 200 yards wide, and 400 yards deep. My eyes were immediately drawn to the far side of the field. Something dark stood in the field, maybe 20 feet out of the tree line. It was big, standing on two feet, and covered in hair. My mind raced as I tried to identify what I was looking at, but I drew a complete blank. I could see the hair waving on the arms and head as the breeze caught it. It was far too big to be a man, and I never questioned if it could be one for a second. My mind told me it wasn’t anything I had ever seen before.

My arm raised toward the creature, pointing toward it. “What is that?” I asked my grandfather. He was already looking in that direction, and replied “I don’t know”. This thing had not seen us, it was facing toward the far end of the field. Over the years, I have come to the conclusion that it was searching the field for something, perhaps a deer or some small animal. After 10-15 seconds, I saw the torso and head shift in our direction. The shoulders squared up to face us and that’s when I realized it has seen us. After a few seconds it turned, took three or four steps, and disappeared into the woods on the opposite side of the field. It did not seem to be in a particular hurry at all. The second it got into the trees you couldn’t see it anymore. Maybe it was because I was a kid, or because it was so far away, but I was not scared at the time. It never made a sound. It was there, and then in a few seconds it was gone. I have never seen anything like it before or since that day.

Normally, our hikes were quite long, and were composed of long circuits around the area. That evening, my grandfather decided it was time to head back the second it disappeared, and we retraced our exact steps back the way we came all the way to the cabin. I believe my grandfather knew much more than he ever told be about that property, and Sasquatch in general.”

This past August, I spent some time backcountry hiking in Mark Twin National Forest near this location. Wild Russian boars have overpopulated this area and they are much larger than the indigenous wild boars and destroy the forest floor. The ranger told me they were brought in for sport by some stupid douche canoe and now they are taking over. They stink to high hell and make a racket as they don’t really have many predators. I would imagine they would be easy prey providing a food source for our bipedal forest funk apes.
