A listener writes “I am a truck driver and travel in new England delivering alot of different things. I was upstate Vermont near Franklin which is near the us canada border a few years ago maybe (2016) traveling about 20miles from route 120 delivering building materials.
It was around 3am and about 30 to 40 yards in front of my truck I seen 4 to 5 deer run out across the road. The crazy thing was they were not just running they were running for their lives. So much so that 2 kinda skid across the road like sliding, Their legs trying to find grip on the pavement as they ran.
So I stop the truck I’m thinking wth is going on then about 10 seconds later i see it jump out and literally 1 step jump across a narrow 2 lane road. Like a triple jump, one foot hit the center line and it continued jumping. Now I’m sitting up in the cab and that’s pretty high and the creature was probably head level with the top of the windshield maybe 7 feet to 7 1/2 feet tall.. at this point I’m still stopped and then I guess it noticed the lights because it just came back up from the embankment and stood on the side of the road.
I’m freaking out now and even though I’m in a truck I’m frozen. Im staring at it and it just stared at the lights. Massive animal it was so terrifying, the shoulders and chest was kinda bare but the arms and legs were covered in dark black and brown looking hair. Mattered down and very dirty looking. Like a huge hermit or something. Then it kinda lurched forward like it was gonna charge but I’m thinking what’s it gonna do to a freightliner. I blew the air horn and It kinda side stepped and almost looked confused. I blew it again and it started walking to the side in the direction where the deer went and just faded into the thick brush.
At that point I just stepped on it and I’m thinking what if it jumps on the flatbed, what if it jumps on the side of the cab.. panic is taking over. my mind is doing more damage at this point than anything. I still cant believe what I saw. I told 2 people and they said I was nuts said it was prolly me tired and seeing things but I know what I saw.. the face was flat kinda pug like pushed in and it had huge eyes, it looked human mixed with a neanderthal on steroids..the size was what was terrifying.the muscularity of it was unbelievable never in my wildest dreams would I’ve thought bigfoot was real till that moment. I’ve not been nervous to be in the woods but I wont go looking for it either.
I live in Connecticut and people say it was a bear, maybe a moose. But I believe it was hunting those animals and it is carnivorous. The other animals(deer) were in terror like when you see zebra running from lions doing anything to get away. All this played out through my windshield.You are now only the 3rd person I’ve told this to and I dont know if I can talk it about to anyone else. I felt insane at first, like did I really see this am i hallucinating? But when I went home and started to research it I felt a little better because tooo many people have seen this thing. I’ve held this in for awhile now and been hesitant to say anything. Guys I work with say oh you going up to Vermont or upstate New York? Its woodsy you might see bigfoot and I cringe inside thinking jesus christ if you only knew. It’s not easy to talk about this I’m always fearful people will say I belong in the loony bin.
Sorry if I ranted but I was trying to recall everything to my best knowledge. I’m not sure what else to say other than I’m a grown man and I’m still afraid of that thing.”

I bet many people doing deliveries at night see all kinds of creepy things ?
It is a slightly humorous thought that the creature ‘side stepped’ when he/she blew that air horn….. Probably wasn’t expecting that one!

Thanks for saying you think I’m telling the truth, people I’ve told just thought I was nuts or hallucinating. I’m glad I found this podcast and was able to share it with people that wont judge my encounter by immediately dismissing it as some mental defect.lol

Eric, your welcome. I mean what I said. Your story sounds true. I am glad you are going to share your story with Wes and us. ( In fact, you may have already done so, and I haven’t listened yet). As a traveling salesman, I see a lot of the U.S., and I can tell you some of the mountains and forests I have gone through are so dense. I am sure some of these areas never see a human being, as they are so hard to access or go to. Also when you drive at night in these areas, you see all kinds of wildlife. It’s amazing. Again, thanks for sharing, and never be afraid to talk about what you saw.

(New Jersey) Wow, that was some encounter! I know many witnesses are rightfully terrified from their encounters. Nevertheless, I would give anything to see one of these creatures! That is my most sincere wish. Well, I also wish that a 9 foot 700 pound Bigfoot would make Adam Schiff his sex slave. Oh I forgot, no politics here.

Hello Glen, I would never wish seeing these things on anyone. There is maybe a element of excitement but I’m telling you that it is horrifying to witness these creatures doing whatever they want and realizing that a person couldnt stop it if they tried.

Honestly that was my concern it was moving too easily to not panic. Thinking it would jump on the truck was terrifying, and what the hell would it do if it did. I will never forget that night and anyone out there that thinks people who see these things are mental, I would challenge them to act differently in that instance and I suspect they would be terrified also.

It’s funny you mention that because I have one now. Not only for monster sightings but there are some unbelievable drivers out there doing the most insane stuff on the road.
