ThinkerThunker: Toddler saved by Angelic Bear or Bigfoot?

ThinkerThunker writes “A small child goes missing for days in freezing temperatures in North Carolina. When rescued he credited a bear for “hanging out with him.”

Could that be true? Was it his imagination? Or could there be other possibilities? (Three cheers for the woman walking her dog and then of course the search crews that found the child.)”

I believe in Bigfoot but I also believe just as easily that God could have sent whatever He wanted in whatever way He wanted to protect the child. Yes God does work in mysterious ways and He has His reasons… Wasn’t Jesus lost for 3 days and his parents looking for him? Why would God do that to Them? There are many good reasons for what God does…. It’s not that mysterious… Btw- you can be very intelligent and believe that Bigfoot or God helped the child. In fact I would say that if it was a Bigfoot then The child was still protected by God in a special manner.

Thanks Thinker Thunker for the analytical views! I think the parents are just grateful they have their boy home. We can only suppose, we may never know what exactly happened. I do believe is was most likely a female BF. But carrying off, keeping warm and then later abandoning? Why would they do it? Instinct? Curiosity? Compassion? Just a lot of questions.

The child may not have been abandoned. It’s protector may have been with it or very close by waiting for someone to come close enough. I have read back on Feb. 1st that at first it was a faint cry, and then a louder cry. When the rescuers came looking the protector then could have bugged out.

I wonder if the boy was placed in the briars as a holding spot so the “bear” could go off for a while and intending to retrieve the boy but he got rescued in the meantime.

Lori. To answer your first question not to my knowledge. To your second statement I too have wondered about this. At any rate I do think the briars could be a holding spot.

From the televised news report- I thought the women that found the boy first said she heard something that sounded like crying. Could it be the kid was not the crier? The rescuer in the picture above stated that the boy was not coherent when they pulled him out of the thicket but only afterwards became alert.
