The Search For Neanderthal

In 1856, workmen in a cave in the Neander valley near Dusseldorf, Germany, unearthed a human skeleton. Its skull had a low, protruding brow, large teeth, and a massive bone structure. And from this discovery began a lengthy dispute: did the Neanderthal man represent an abnormal modern human? Or an extinct ancestor? Unintentionally, the workmen began the longest ongoing controversy in the search for the origins of modern humans. Today, archeologists search for clues about Neanderthals in hopes of determining if these remarkable people deserve a place in our direct ancestry. By examining Neanderthal bones and reconstructing fossilised skeletal remains, scientists are beginning to find answers to these important questions.

    Interesting program. So, the Neanderthals look like us, except they are like modern body builders? Also, they are intelligent humans? Nice to see the evolution of science! Thanks Wes.

    Isn’t it Fascinating that from a Fossilised Footprint found in a Cave in Italy proves the Neanderthal also had a Mid Tarsal break across the center of Their Feet ? ……… Just like the Sasquatch People.
    The Neanderthal had a Larger Brain that Modern Humans ( like by 27 % ) yet they carried the extra Grey Matter in a region of our Own Modern Human Brains that controls our long Term Memories. ( in the lower – back of the Skull Cavity ) And it has even been Theorized that these feral People were Born already knowing what was good to eat , and where to look to find it all from the collective Memories from Both Parents ! ( Instinct )
    They had a smaller frontal Lobe than us Modern Humans , as we can tell by their Sloping Foreheads. Which is where we get all of our Higher Thought Processes , and the ability to process information & act on it RIGHT NOW.
    So yes they are Intelligent Humans , just not like You or me.
    …….. They speak a Language of Their Own. I would call that Intelligence.

    BUT if the Sasquatch are the same kind of Sloping Forehead People as the Neanderthal ? ……… That doesn’t leave too much room for Evolution ? …………….BUT WHAT DO I KNOW ? I am only an Ignorant Laborer.
