The one standing turned and looked at us

A listener writes “My girlfriend and I went Nashville, Tennessee. We got bored with that, I had been itching  all day to go to the lbl land between the lakes.

It’s about an hour way. It was about 11:30 at night so we got there around  12:30 on the way there we listen to bigfoot outlaws episode on lbl, really stupid right. We stopped at a wall mart and bought a $50 spot light, Heading in we were laughing saying hunters had been in woods 40 year’s and never seen nothing what’s the odds of us even hearing a whoop. Well we are driving on the Kentucky side. We seen a spot and pulled down in there. ( I’m starting to get sick and scared typing this ) anyway we pull down into what looks like a horse shoe and stop next to a wood line I reach down and unplug the spot light and my girlfriend says oh my god, I look up and standing there is I think a Dogman it is the biggest ugliest thing I have ever seen 15 feet away from our car, staring me right in the eyes, it doesn’t look like any of the pictures I’ve seen on the Web, they are not like anything I expected.

After a few seconds I see a smaller one standing about 10 feet to the big ones right, I have never been so scared I peed my pants, I’m 48 year’s old, I have never been so scared. I accidentally pulled the trigger on the spot light. There was two more about 15 ,20 feet back flanking them, it pissed them off. My girlfriend screamed . The biggest one gave out a weird whistle and pointed kinda with his right arm and the one to his right, dropped on all fours and like a shot was gone. It was so fast, it was like it disappeared. I screamed go go go, the big one stepped back and was gone, my girlfriend floored it. We almost crashed leaving. I think they were circling us. Or trying to. So we’re driving and crying, really fast I tell her slow down if one steps out in front of us were dead. We drive about another 10 miles, I think. All of a sudden I mean a herd of deer comes flying across the road 10 at least. It was like we weren’t even there. We were at a dead stop. Two other things jumped on to the road one was on all fours. The other was standing on two legs they didn’t look anything like the other ones.

The one standing turned and looked at us. There are so many details running threw my head, about both of them. Anyway, it’s looking at us it rolled it’s upper lip up, it had the whitest teeth I ever seen. It growled at us shook everything I thought my heart was going to bust. My girlfriend slammed it in reverse. As we were going backwards it leaned in like it was coming for us and I don’t know how to explain this. It smiled at us I think. I got weird feeling. Like he was letting us live, the one on all fours reached up and grabbed a tree limb and was gone. The one standing on two legs took a giant step and disappeared. So we stop for a second to put it in drive and gunned it. About 10 miles down the road.  she wanted to stop and have me drive.

I begged her to please keep going. She was getting sick I was so scared I wasn’t getting out. So she keep going. We finally got out of there and came to a really well lit gas station, there was a small town. Restaurant, hotel and some other stuff. We pulled in the gas station went inside and change clothes, the attendant working there keep asking us if we were alright and my girlfriend said no we just seen monsters.The attendant just smirked and said you have know idea.  It was 4 o’clock in morning. We live in Indiana we keep driving till we got home at 8:30 in the morning. They do not look like I thought they would. I can’t sleep, I’m wore out. I can’t think of nothing else, I need help.”

    Wow, Like Wes always says “be careful what you wish for”. I’d like to hear more of the description and how ” it doesn’t look like any of the pictures I’ve seen on the Web, they are not like anything I expected.” Would love to hear these two on a future show. Thanks for sharing what had to be 2 terrifying encounters!

    If one jumped to a limb i wonder what kind of hands. Were the hands more like claws or hands as bigfoot has. It never ceases to amaze me at the diversity of these and others, the various types, subtypes, etc., so many mysteries. it is fascinating.

    LBL is monster land ground zero. That’s one place I wouldn’t go and spend the night without a BIG gun. This sounds like an SC episode I’d say. Two encounters with two different types of cryptids in a matter of minutes. That might be some kind of record.

    2 Encounters on the same night 10 miles apart? They either have the best luck or the worst I’m not sure which yet. I know LBL is a hotbed of crazy cryptids but that seems a little far fetched to me. Just my opinion, I’d still love to hear their story for curiosity sake if nothing else, but I share Dave T’s opinion that I’d never go into LBL without a seal team backing me up or big gun with a lot of serious ammo. Interesting story.

    Oh I believe them. From southwestern ohio in Germantown about ten minutes from me down thru ky is bf and especially dogman. Its not cool and its not fun but its the truth. Damn dirty cryptids.

    This has got me literally on the edge of my seat. I can not imagine anything scarier than what you and your girlfriend went through that night. By the sound of your story, it seems like this took place very recent? I imagine you guys will be staying indoors for awhile to get your courage back. What a terrible, but at the same time, most exciting encounter I’ve read. At least you have each other to comfort and talk to about it. Imagine going through something like that alone… God Bless you both
