A listener writes “When visiting my grandparents in Henry, they would tell stories like preachers thumping a bible – these creatures were real to them.
I was skeptical but fascinated as a young girl.
On one visit, my grandmother pulled me out of bed at 2AM to look through a telescope. I was about 12, and she pointed it into the mountains to show me a light that couldn’t be explained. Rapidly shifting through the entire spectrum of colors and hovering in a zig zagging pattern. We watched for a long time until I was too tired to stay up. I can’t explain why or how anything would be in those hills in the early hours of the evening hovering, or how it would also emit such a spectrum of color.
Fast forward to me visiting my parent in the summer of 2024, I brought by husband and children to my parents new property in Bear Lake area of Idaho. We had an auditory experience that I am absolutely certain was Sasquatch in the wilderness there while stopped for lunch on a side by side ride. Tree knocking, and when my mom took the grandkids on an air-brain expedition to go check out a tantalizing flower across a deeply cut stream bed, we immediately heard a triangulation of whoops on the thickly wooded hill, essentially surrounding our little party. They continued until my husband and I frantically ran to our children and grabbed their hands. The moment we did, the whooping stopped abruptly. The lunch we all shared following that was filled with dread. That night, my dad shared that there had been a sighting days earlier on a ridge nearby.
I live in Marfa, TX now. The ranch I live on has optimal viewing for the iconic “marfa lights”. We did not know that before securing living areas arrangements out here, and after having a few close encounters with Marfa Lights, I am just expecting a cryptid encounter due to my unfortunate conditioning.
I believe that whatever this being is, is oddly connected with heightened paranormal activity in these areas.”
