The head was entirely canine in appearance

I am posting this in hopes that the listener who sent it to me will contact me back. I tried to respond to his email and I received a “return to sender error.” I removed the first portion of his email as he did not want to be identified.

I agree with the listener there are too many consistent witness reports of an upright canine, to ignore it. Not everyone feels like this and I know Dan was not prepared for the question and I am sure he had no ill intent with his answer.

The listener writes “I’ve been an avid rock climber for years, and solo climb in very remote parts of the country (and in others as well). A fellow climber had brought the “Missing 411” series to my attention a few years ago and while not dissuading me from going out alone, I now do so rather well prepared ballistically (or at least as one can be).

I happen to be in the four corners area at the moment wrapping up a trip, and caught your podcast for the first time while searching for something to listen to out here during the drive out. You seem to do an excellent job, and I plan on listening to other episodes as time permits in the future.

To get to the reason for this email, your guest (I believe it was a Dan Baker) seemed dismissive of the possibility that upright canids may exist. In my humble opinion this is a rather dangerous notion to promote, as I have encountered one of these things and can attest that at least in this instance they are very much real. If the one that I had a stand-off with at no more than twenty feet is any indication, these things are absolute killing machines.

For the record, I have never touched a recreational drug of any ever and also race vintage sportscars, shoot competitively and in general am engaged in activities that require a very high degree of concentration and observation. Whatever it was that I saw was categorically not ape-like or hominid, was bipedal and over eight feet tall (I measured the exact spot where it stood the following day). I’d conservatively estimate the eight to have between 450-500lbs. The head was entirely canine in appearance, and it’s arms (like the rest of it) were heavily muscled and ended in actual hands with long fingers and claws. It seemed very aggressive, and I strongly believe that if not for the cannon that I carry into climbing areas (which totally sucks in terms of added weight), that I very well may not be in a position to be writing to you.

I realize that this is (intentionally) rather scarce in terms of detail, however to be frank it pissed me off to hear someone espousing the existence of Bigfoot/Sasquatch while being so dismissive of the possibility of something else that shares the same space. I can attest that there is at least one of these creatures “out there”, and people need to be careful as I have no doubt that this thing would have taken me out had I not been so lucky (the custom shortened Barret M82 seemed to have caught it’s attention). No shots were fired, and the damn thing shocked me so much that I’m not sure that I would have hit it.

Anyway, sorry this was so long. Feel free to use this if it could somehow be of any help to someone, and perhaps politely let Mr. Baker know that he may want to be a bit less myopic.”

I think there are some apes that indeed have faces that strongly resemble canines – so I think he could be mistaken on it not being a hominid – I doubt he caries a barrett 82 into climbing areas – 30 pounds of gun just is not practical to “carry” casually anywhere where your not camping out for a target like a sniper does. I can’t imagine climbing with an M82 .

Maybe this guy will get a hold of Vic Cundiff of Dogman Encounters and tell him his encounter. This sounds like an awesome encounter and I would love to hear him tell his story.

Not everything out there is a sasquatch or sasquatch related. People have a tendency to assume that what you seen wasn’t a dogman but a sasquatch, while others say you didn’t see a sasquatch but a bear. Never assume you know what others have seen without being there to see it for yourself.

I agree 100% Martin, people need to stop and just listen to people. I have made the mistake in the past, assuming I know what someone has seen and it is a major mistake. You learn a lot more if you just shut up and listen to what someone is saying. I could be wrong but I really feel there is something else out there running around that doesn’t fit into the Sasquatch box.

A custom, shortened Barrett rifle; now that would get the “things”, attention! If the guy says he carries it, why in the world would you say he doesn’t. Myopic: myopia; a condition of the eye in which parallel rays are focused in front of the retina, objects being seen distinctly only when near to the eye; near-sightedness. 2. lack of foresight or discernment: obtuseness. 3. narrow-mindedness; intolerance. (Webster’s, American Family Dictionary) PG. 629. Yea, it’s like that in our world; especially today. I give folks’ the benefit of the doubt, until they prove to me that they are not to be trusted. Call me old fashioned, but it’s just the way I am. The only thing I can imagine is this; maybe this fellow wants to get some custom loads after his experience. Maybe armor piercing-incendiary?

Well said Martin Z, someone once told me “believe everything and believe nothing”….I finally interpreted this to basically mean as Martin Z states, “Never assume you know what others have seen without being there to see it for yourself.” that’s my two cents worth.

I don’t doubt this guys story but I do understand why someone (this Baker fellow fo instance) would have a hard time believing in dogman.
It seems clear that whether a cross between man and ape, a hybrid, missing link, or whatever… sasquatch is clearly a primate, and a mixed breed of any such does not seem out of the relm of possibility.
A half man half wolf however, a ixture of two entirely different unrelated species, could be quite more difficult for one to wrap their mind around.
I agree that there are too many consistent and credible eyewitness accounts to simply dismiss. BUT…
If dogman, which is essentially a werewolf, is possible, then it stands to reason that the minotaur and centaur are in the same relm of possibility…which seems quite fantastical, does it not..?

Maybe this is what he’s talking about????

    Llama M82
    Llama M82 DSCF3628.JPG
    Type Semi-automatic pistol
    Place of origin Spain
    Service history
    In service 1987–
    Used by Spanish Armed Forces
    Production history

That maybe Ted T. It seems that the .45acp and anything less does effect the DogMan. As a matter of fact it also has been said the AR & AK don’t work either. So far the least caliber of rifle to work is the .338 Lupa Mag. Hope that helps! The Llama M82 only comes in .9mm & .40 S&W.

I have to agree with the author. How can one believe in Sasquatch/Bigfoot and know how those that have had encounters get ridiculed but stonely not give another who has had a different encounter (Dogman) the time a day. As I have stated previously, though it might have been elsewhere, that a very famous person told me the vail between the different layers (7 up & 7 down) that exsists is getting thinner and thinner and this was in the 80’s. We now see more of the Sasquatch, DogMan, Reptiles, Goatman, Jersey Devil and the list still goes on, because of the layers getting thinner and thinner. As far as caring the Barrett M82, I’ve had the please of seeing the Barrett .416 and it’s a hell of a gun but I would go with the Barrett .338 Lupa Mag.. It should do the job and be less then 1/2 the weight of the 82A. IMHO!

Hey writer, please contact Wes again and/or Vic Cundiff. There are others out there that have been severely traumatized by their own encounter with dogman and can take heart from you sharing yours. They know they are not alone.

Good to see some folks are aware that there are more unclassifieds out in the woods than Sasquatch/Bigfoot.
But “dogman” is no more a canid than a prairie dog is.

  11. Jan W

No doubt in my mind dogman exists. I have listened to far too many credible accounts not to. I am discovering so many facts that were left out of my “formal education” that frankly, nothing would surprise me. I don’t find the existence of dogman hard to fathom. I find the cover up of such a creature hard to fathom. And I honestly think there are factions who know of it’s existence.

Good thing this guy discovered and paid heed to Missing 411. Would really like to hear his encounter.

Writer, could you be a bit more specific without giving away the exact location, such as naming a drainage (i.e. lower San Juan River or Moab area along the Colorado). The 4 corners is a huge area. Thanks.

SEARCH: (this is how it was explained to me: )Miles Johnston who started Bases in 1994 after people came to him about the underground labs where they were making nonhuman programmable life forms.Non Human Cyborgs Units (NHCUs) were being made at the west Berkshire base between RAF Welford and the village of Peasemore called Programmed Generated Life Forms (PGLFs,) as developed by the Nazis in WW2.

This creature has been documented since the time of the Egyptians. That Egyptian creature with a dog head who I believe is called Osiris, is in many pyramid drawings. The indians have a history with the dogman too, some good and some bad. The Persians have written history of trading with the dogman. The dogman goes back thousands of years.

Well my theory was the government messing around with BF DNA and that was what dogman was but if native Americans have had sightings and stories of them for many many years that doesn’t make much sense either. Although I do believe the government IS messing with DNA on creatures of beings we don’t know even exist yet.
