Really enjoying this… two points. Catholicism is Christianity and put the books of the bible together and excluded the Gnostic texts. All Christians follow the Gospels and view the Bible as a whole from here, all orthodox-believers believe in the Nicean Creed. A creed formulated by the Catholic Church. But also the ancients did not think the world was flat. The Greeks knew the world was round and the Bible talks about the circle of the earth. The flat earth claim was an insult towards the people of the past. The first recorded use of it was by “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” author Washington Irving.
