Well, if I were a Tasmanian Tiger, I’d hide too! But, seriously, it looks like half Cat and half Tasmanian Devil. /// RE: Patty, why hasn’t anyone ever been able to get another on film since? My theory is that once Patty and her troop were out of view, they quickly told everyone to spread the word… those dang humans are on to us, so stay elusive!

Yes your closer but not, the bloke in the film, sorry scientist says ” that the tasmanian tiger is a marsupiel ( mind my spelling) then goes on to say its a wolf” he contradicts his own statement, but is redeemed when pointing out that a zoololagist (spelling bad) can not specialize across the board. If you wanna know the best info on thylacines, check out( the thylacine awareness group of australia ( also make sure you spelling thylacine correcty) p34(3

m99; very good question on Patty and filming others of her ilk.
The fact that it was a camera with NO electrical components, may have a bit to do with that.I think (?) it was a wind up type movie camera.
Today our electronic cameras and recording equipment may be the reason we do not get another Patterson Gimlin film.

I agree i think maybe film cameras would bring more success, new phone cameras and many new cameras have to much auto ajustments, that may confuse its self from focusing on what your trying to capture. Pei ce….ers

Another thought abour cameras is how digital zoom will turns objects into blocks of lego pieces when you zoom into an object farther away. It would seem also that these creatures seem able to somehow detect game cams and other electronics which they avoid well.
