Survivorman | Les Stroud’s Wild Harvest

Just a short drive from the city of Edmonton, Alberta expert forager Les Stroud and Chef Paul Rogalski find themselves experiencing the natural life cycles of horsetail, and fireweed right where they grow. Add to this the bounty of dandelion and cattail and you have the makings of a delicious wild harvest!

I hope there are horsetails in Ohio, never heard of this plant. Having spent several trips, alone, out in the woods, searching in vain for morels (after one recent scary SC episode) then being thoroughly startled by a huge vulture that was, I imagine, just as startled by me, I am looking for something to forage that is less elusive than the morel. I do have a freezer full of ramps, though; ramp pickles, ramp pesto, ramp compound butter, ramp greens, roasted ramp bulb paste, ramp and olive oil cubes, ramp bulbs, whole frozen ramps, etc…
    Love Les Stroud’s Wild Harvest.
