Surviving The Wild By Eating Snow?

Many people assume that snow is just frozen water and is therefore suitable to eat when the body is starting to dehydrate. While there are forms of running water in the wild that can keep you hydrated without putting you at risk, eating snow will not produce the same results unless you know what to look for. Les Stroud explains:

    I was always afraid that it would lower the body’s core temperature to eat snow. Didn’t know that about the pinkish tint. I’ll pass that on to my brother in law. Thanks!
