Sundays Show: The Big Thicket Monster

I will be speaking to Tim Sermons on Sunday. As a child Tim lived in a very rural area and witnessed a creature run through his yard and step over a 6ft fence. Later he became a BFRO investigator he has since stepped away from the BFRO and investigates in East Texas with Bob Garrett. I asked Tim to share some of the scariest and strangest encounters that he investigated with the BFRO along with encounters he has had recently in East Texas. Tim is going to also talk about the time he was bluff charged by one of these creatures on a night they were not expecting anything to happen.

honestly the show has been better without will and shannon. I like Will but he is kind of a goof for idolizing rene dahinden, it got old hearing about that weirdo. Shannon is a babe and she was fun to listen to i enjoyed her mannerisms but not the show is just dead to the point.. great encounters and thats it. good job man keep it up.

I’d like to know the real story behind Wills disappearance. I thinks he was just brainwashed abut by dehinden as as teen. Anyway what does Will do to make end meet anyway. He can’t be living of of book sales this late in the game. IN MY OPINION , his books are full of old information and old beliefs.

I agree that the episodes lately are much much better, better sources, better meatier encounters. Just a comment from the chicken man episode. Sasquatch hunting children is a basic hunting strategy of all predetitors. Any big cat will single out the young, weak or lost members of the herd. DONT KEAVE YOUR CHILDREN ALONE IN THE WILDERNESS

        • Derek G

True, my parents and I brought my younger brother who is in a wheel chair to the zoo and we were watching one of the big cats move back and forth, as these cats see movement better when they are flanking prey. There were other kids there and they turned and walked away and the cat just kept up its movements back and forth. As soon as my younger brother turned his wheelchair and started to move away from the fence the cat in an instant pounced at him and hit that fence like lightning. He had been focusing on him it seems the whole time.

Wes a hate to say it but the show is so much better and there is no drama and no ego involved… It’s just people sharing encounters which I think is what u and woody always intended

There’s quite a few ex-BFRO dudes who are actually pretty legit, even if nothing else well-meaning and honest. Some are pretty smart on the subject. They left it for the same reasons this show criticizes the organization. They may not have as much knowledge on the subject as Will does (love him or hate him, he knows quite a bit…) but it doesn’t make them idiots just for being a part of the first organization to get big enough to gain mass-attention on the subject.

…But maybe I only dealt with an extreme minority in my little adventures if “Bobo” is the benchmark for the organization lol

    • Rob C

Can someone please explain what Bobo’s contribution to the world of Bigfoot is? Can’t figure out how that dude fits into to the whole concept.

      • MilitantDanny

Man, I don’t know. Lol I created my account when the site first went live and it was already there as soon as I entered my info, so it pulled from the Internet somewhere where I had posted the photo. I can’t figure out for the life of me where it’s posted though, it was taken in the summer of ’14 overseas and I haven’t opened any new social media accounts or anything since then, in fact I’ve closed a bunch!
I emailed Wes about it and ultimately there was a solution in the forums on a sticky, but I never sat down and went through the process someone had explained…. And now the forums are gone lol

Thie Organization used Coonbo and Bear for information but, didn’t want them to be part of it…I’m not real keen on “users”. They quit posting and quit I.d.ing locales because of this…the two of them have more “real” experience than the lot of them. When an organization literally does not “hire” a rocket scientist they’re left with “there’s a squatch in these woods”…as opposed to hello I’m “George the Booger”…. I think ego of a few wouldn’t allow it and they’re left with not finding bigfoot. Really tough to watch it…the hillbilly’ yelling at each other are more credible and that puts finding bigfoot way down the credibility poll. Just think if they’d allowed Bear and Coonbo to have TV program….we’d have boogers riding bikes by now … Sometime I think the FB show is a paid dis credit to the subject…. They Definately are that.

Tim Sermons sounds like he knows what he’s talking about. If u get a chance, listen to some of the archives of the big thicket watch. U all are going to enjoy this show.

Tim is a great guy and a no nonsense researcher this is gonna be a great show!!! I like Will but don’t miss he or Shannon one bit! I’m glad you’re pressing forward with the show Wes it’s a such a pleasure

  7. Martin G

Where is big thicket watch? Is that the name of the show…I can’t find any shows named that…
Can someone pretty please steer me in the right direction? Thanks!

  8. Terry R

What a lead-in. I am so looking forward to this show that I keep checking your site just in case you show it early. Nice job Wes, you have me on the edge of my seat.

  9. Don M

I totally agree with Michael S above. I am so glad that Will is gone. He did talk to much about Rene Dahinden, like he was some sort of god when it came to bigfoot. Please Will get a life and quit living in the past. I got sick and tired of hearing your “underwear changing” moment comment after the second time you said it…………..and man you said it a lot and it made me cringe every time. As for being only 15 ft away from 2 of these creatures you could never describe their faces or much about them…………….made me feel that your sighting was either fabricated or just never happened in the first case.

Now as for Shannon, lets be real…………she is a doll……..but then again this is talk radio. As for her in a co-host position, I liked her very much. She come across very intelligent and asked very good questions…………..so in my book, I miss her very much from the show, whether she was co-hosting or doing her solo follow-up Monday show. If I’m remembering right, Will was part of her Monday show………..so if she was to ever come back, please Wes, just keep Will out of the line-up.

Wes, you are doing a fantastic job. I would be overwhelmed with the amount of work you are putting into the website and the shows. We all know that you are on the phone with these guests beforehand getting their story and sighting report ever before setting up the formal interview………so we (your subscribers & listeners) are so aware of the work you must put in, to create the quality show that we have come to love.I listen to 4 or 5 other bigfoot podcasts and yours stands alone as the best produced show being done (hands down !!!!!!), so keep up the great work. You may not hear the praise and positive comments from your subscribers………….but know this, I am sure many others feel just as I do. Your show is in a class of its own. I know you have so many subscribers, so there is a huge obligation in front of you week to week. Free personal time must be something you have very little of. So your dedication and commitment must be commended. Thanks for all you do. Sincerely, Don

    • brian w

Don you are so right. I thank you for saying what some of us forget to say. Not cuz we don’t think he puts so much time in to the show but because let’s face it , his shows always leave us in such a shocked state from what these ppl went through. Wes keep rocking on and I can’t tell you how many other shows I’ve listened to but by far this one is the most in touch with what the listeners what to hear.

      • Eddie M

Shannon’s “Cherokee Cleansing” show was excellent…and she let him keep his train of thought and did not interrupt … To me that demonstrated “what it took” to be host and ability to recognize when to speak and when to go with interesting experience…only my opinion….I still don’t know what actually happened other than when….after reporting “camp” show and rabbit hole… I’m sure that was intent of “paid trolls”

I can’t remember the process of getting an avatar photo. Pam Purple Rose explained how to do so BACK WHEN WE HAD A FORUM!! from memory I think you had to join linkden or whatever that ID site is you can use to look up people’s employment. if you join that (free) and attach an avatar in will appear here.

  11. Kay S

Shannon told me how to upload an avatar a while back. I haven’t tried it yet, but here’s her email.

If you create an account (free) with WordPress, you can then upload a picture to your profile there, which will then appear as that photo on our website. Thanks for being a part, by the way! 🙂

    Shannon

    Hope this helps.

  12. Melanie W

    Wes,
When will we hear the rest of YOUR Big Thicket story?

Btw, I agree with everyone… The shows are terrific! I’m so glad you decided to not fold! 🙂

  13. Damon M

    Troops
The one point I would add is that the interviewer sould work on his interview skills. So often questions are left hanging where further details are left hanging in the air. I am not being critical, only want to see our host grow in his skills

The show is awesome. What’s important is I’ve learned a lot about this subject, a subject I’ve been interested in since I was little. From the things I learned on this show I’m convinced, as unlikely as it was, a Sasquatch would visit my grandmothers yard. I admire Wes for battling through and keeping the show going.

I miss Shannon and the Monday wrap up show.

Shannon at least make a visit once in a while. It’s cool to know there are intelligent, attractive, women like you out in the world. 🙂

    Bob
