Strange Sounds In The Manistee National Forest

A listener writes “Attached is a sound I recorded late one night near the Manistee National Forest.
I recorded at my moms house which is in Cadillac Michigan. She’s just inside of Wexford county and literally a stones throw away from the Manistee national forest.

Honestly the activity up here is fairly common and honestly it really just causes pause and most people just kind of go back to whatever they are doing. A lot people around here know there is something out there but don’t really go much further than that.

My family had a 2 night event back in the early 80’s. The sound I heard as a child was like nothing I had ever heard… fast forward to the internet age… the Ohio howl was the sound clip that gave me chills and a giddy feeling all at once.

I’ve seen them but hearing that recording back in the day made me realize how real this subject really was… crazy for sure.

Anyhow… the recording I sent you I’d like your take on it. I’m not saying it’s sasquatch but I can say I’ve never heard this before. I grew up here in northern Michigan and have spent most of my time as a kid and now adult in the woods.

You’ll hear something yelling? And then dogs barking. I should have stayed out longer and recorded more, but it was late and I was ready for bed.

Anyway please take a listen. Any light you can share would be appreciated.”

Something sounds big and angry, although it is really hard to tell due to distance. I have no doubt the Sasquatch are in this area, as the Manistee National Forest is impressive and you have that Manistee River Watershed. Some years back there was a lady that had property in this forest area that detailed how she use to feed blueberry muffins to her Sasquatch and they loved them. Hard to beat a Michigan blueberry, use to pick them every year with my Mother and Father to freeze and store.
