A listener writes “This encounter happened in late November 2008 I only know it was after thanksgiving. I used to camp every summer up on the Cispus River near Randel Wa.

About 5 miles from the Cispus Learning Center. We always camped right on the river on a forest road I can send you a google earth pic of the exact spot. I took my girlfriend up there after a rather disastrous night of double thanksgiving dinners at our respective family’s houses to get away for a few days.

It was cold and there was snow on the ground but we had the right gear and were excited to spend some alone time in the woods. We arrived set up camp and did the fire thing and ate dinner but she tried to turn my car around for some music and got it stuck in the mud. Didn’t think it was a big deal at the time. A forest ranger stopped over before we went to bed and said we were the only people up there and we were a bit crazy to him because it was so cold out but he thought it was cool people camped in that kind of weather. We stayed up talking till about midnight then went to the tent to go to bed. We were talking and laughing about the dinners we had suffered through on thanksgiving when all of a sudden a large rock hit our tent.

It shocked us, out of the blue kind of thing. It was like what was that and then a strange thing happened she turned over and went to sleep like right away. I was upset so I got out and looked around with a mag light and put a lot of fire wood on the fire. I thought it was someone from town playing games with us or something… I never even thought of Sasquatch or an animal or anything like that. So I get back to bed and it’s quiet for about 30 mins then another rock.. then Another so I’m getting freaked out. I didn’t have a weapon and my car is stuck. And my girlfriend is asleep and rather for lack of a better word unresponsive. So I yelled real loud “im armed leave us alone” and it’s weird to explain but a rock flew by the tent and hit a tree and I don’t know if you’ve ever had like something thrown at your head and it missed but you hear it wissing by….. I heard that like it was audible how close it was to me and it hit the tree hard so now I’m seriously freaked out. A couple more rocks go wissing by and I just shut down man. Really weird…… hair up on my neck and I was frozen for about two hours. All I wanted to do was leave but we couldn’t and my gf wouldn’t wake up for quite awhile and when she did she didn’t want to acknowledge any of it.

So this goes on till daybreak. All I can say is that was the longest freaking night of my life. Never felt fear like that ever. Couldn’t understand why I was so scared all night like I couldn’t move even when I wanted to which wasn’t to often that night. About 30 mins before sun up it all stops. A guy cutting fire wood the next morning helped us get the car out and we left. We never talked about it again. I didn’t hear anything see anything or smell anything so maybe this is just something else entirely.”
