Strange Noise – Any Ideas

A listener writes “This is a video my Mother took inside her home of sounds coming from her fireplace. I’m just trying to figure out if you have ever heard anything like that before. She lives in a subdivision just outside Waco, and I’ve never heard any animals (that I have heard) make a sound (growl) like that. Could you check it out when you get a chance. Thanks so much.”

Sounds like an episode for Monsters Among Us!?! I sure would not want that coming from my fire place! Time for some serious prayer and spiritual warfare!

    I hope it’s not what I think it is…
Try taking pictures of the fireplace and the room
the fireplace is in and use the camera’s flash
    while taking the pictures.
A Polaroids instamatic camera works best for capturing
    anomalies.

I would like to know how long she has heard this sound. Any living human or animal cannot go without water for more than 3-4 days, usually a week the longest. If the mother hears it beyond that, it’s spiritual and she needs to plead the blood of Jesus over her, all who enter, and the house itself. I would ask a pastor to come and pray. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to do the above now and not wait. Block that fireplace opening too! Take care and God be with you!

At first I thought maybe she has a very short stack in her fireplace because that sounds awfully close to her floor. Then I heard what sounded like foot pads with nails hitting her floor. Scared to say but it sounds demonic and the suggestion from Connie O makes abundant sense. Pray the blood of Jesus over her entire home and get a spiritual practitioner in there for some serious protection. Having listened to Tony Merkel’s podcast and following him I’ve learned to ask our Heavenly Father for a hedge of protection around me and mine, including our property. Don’t waste any time doing these things. Close the flu on your fireplace. Please keep us updated.

The hard part is that it’s recorded in slow-mo so that automatically changes the nature of the sound.

Go record your kids jumping on the bed, they’ll suddenly sound like demons haha. Not saying this is fake or implying she’s trying to pull one over, but unless we can hear the audio in real time theres really not much that can said

Do you have a basement? Does the fireplace have a little door that connects to the outside for ash disposal? To me it sounds like something being dragged along a piece of lumber.

That sounds exactly like slow motion audio. iPhone’s record audio just like that in slo mo mode, and it maps onto the video perfectly. Normal speed at first, then slo mo, and back to normal speed at the end.
