“Gorillas at a South Carolina zoo trying to avoid the rain peek out from under their enclosure before making a break for it.” Very human like behavior, I have been in this moment.

First of all, Gorillas do not belong in a zoo!
This is sad to see them in a zoo, they belong to the wild.

AMEN Debbie! (Neither do Whales. I cringe when I see whales in captivity.) Aren’t these gorillas beautiful? Such neat animals.

Sadly, man is killing them off in the wild more and more, poachers.

It is interesting how much they dislike rain. That is how I felt today trying to mow the lawn!

Wonder if that stems from the great flood?

I’m torn. On one hand ,yes they belong in the wild. On the other hand with out the experience of seeing these magnificent creatures how many of us would Grow up knowing how much they need our help in surviving our so called civilized society? The ones that we see now are not captured and taken from their homes in the wild ( unless they are babies whose mothers were killed by poachers. SOB’s ) They were born and raised in captivity and would have a very difficult if not impossible time of surviving in the wild. IMHO.
