Interesting report from a listener, she writes “Hi Wes, I decided to tell you this small sighting because of listening to the witnesses that have been on your show lately concerning orbs.

Last summer my husband and I were doing an Alaska cruise on the inside passage, going from Vancouver to Ketchican, Skagway and Juneau. It was our tenth anniversary so we did the cruise and the Rocky Mountaineer train ride from Vancouver to Banff. The cruise ship was from Holland America…I think it held about 700 people. Our cabin was on the port side (left, I believe) and we had a small veranda that had 2 other floors above us so the veranda was covered by the floor of the veranda above us. It was the 2nd night (July24th) on the ship and my husband was already asleep.

I have insomnia bouts and I could not fall asleep so I decided to sit on the veranda and see if I could see anything. The ship was hugging the coast as it moved toward Ketchikan. I was sitting on a chair facing out towards the island that is along the coast (I don’t know it’s name but it isn’t Vancouver island.) It was dark but there were lights all around the ship. I could see the water around the ship for about 20-30 feet out. I could also see scattered fog clouds all around. I could see the sky and it had wispy fog clouds but every once in a while I would get a clear shot of the sky and could see the stars clearly. It was about 2:30 am, and I was looking up at the sky, There was a clear area in the sky and as I looked I saw an area of the sky that just looked slightly lighter.

As I watched it, it seemed to move. I watched for a while, very intrigued and decided to get our binoculars. The binoculars are very good (very expensive) with image stabilizers. The lighter area was almost directly above the ship so I had to lean a little over the balcony and twist up to see. I saw 6 yellow orbs (They were actually oval shaped). they were flying in a group but they almost seemed alive. They were jostling around each other, switching places, bumping each other. I was so shocked and scared because I was the only one out there. I ran in to wake my husband. He wasn’t happy about it but he went out on the veranda in his undershorts. It was pretty cold out there.

Of course they had gone over the ship already. he griped and went back to bed. I went back out with the binoculars and leaned over the side again looking up. They came back over the side of the ship flying like before jostling around each other. I watched and they seemed to be following the ship but crossing back and forth over the ship. I woke my husband up again because I wanted a witness that I had seen this. He griped again, came out and of course they flew over the ship AGAIN! I felt a little foolish because I started to feel like they were doing this on purpose. (This is why I wrote to you. IN your last podcast, you were talking about how the orbs seemed to know hour intentions and that got my attention) My husband went to bed and told me not to wake him again. I went on the verandah again and looked up, Again there they were flying in the same direction as the ship directly above me.

I started getting a little nervous because I read the Missing 411 about people being found in bodies of water and it would be too easy for me to mysteriously end up in the water. As I said, I felt al little foolish for being scared however, the fog started to envelope the ship as I was looking up, all of a sudden, I saw yellow from the corner of my eye and I looked out from the ship instead of up. In the fog I saw a large yellow light that looked like it was flying level with me about 50 feet out.

I ran into the room so fast and slammed the door that I heard the people in the next room say something because I think I woke them up. I stayed in the room for a while before I went back out and I never saw them again.

The orbs were oval and an ambient yellow. I couldn’t see them except with the binoculars. I think that they are beings. I think that they can change form when they are terrestrial. I think a lot of the paranormal are connected in some way.”
