Strange Disappearances

This is the Latest David Paulides lecture on the subject of missing people. Paulides, who has become an expert in the large number of mysterious disappearances happening in American national parks and forests, discussed cases and the unusual patterns that appear with many of them.

Often bad weather suddenly appears after a disappearance such as fog or snow, and this serves to inhibit the searchers. Some recovered in water are an even greater mystery. In several cases, they have found that while the person may have disappeared several days ago and was only in the water for two days, Paulides explained. Perhaps even stranger is that no cause can be determined. According to Paulides, a similar string have also occurred in the canals of Manchester, UK. He questioned how investigators there have been unable to connect the cases.

The government is just out of control. People that love big government will never ever talk about this gigantic conspiracy. I feel like hundreds of federal employees know about this but just keep quiet. It’s like the Electors having their personal information made public(Pa.) and the FBI doing nothing about it while they recieve death threats.

He is very careful not to put forward his own theories to keep from losing credibility if one of them is ever proven untrue. I don’t blame him, there are a lot of immature wuss’s out there that try and mock any thing that they disagree with. Typical close minded “flat earthers” with nothing to contribute except cynicism…He is quiet expertise in only stating the facts of his investigations..

I am an expert on missing people and I hate that he plays on peoples ignorance. I urge people to look into Hypothermia which can be linked with “Paradoxical undressing”. There is also a reason why people tend to go missing after parties that are close to canals and lakes.
Also shoes tend to be the first thing that fall off a person in incidences regarding people being hit, falling or taking extremely hard knocks.

I was a fan of David Paulides until I became an expert in the field. I wont say what I do but you can read between the lines.

      • DrAaron

Yes, David has mentioned Paradoxical undressing on many occasions.
Since you are an “expert”, what are you going to do to improve this pandemic scourge to public lands and national parks. Heaven forbid that this man seeks to shed light on a cover of darkness that government “service” fails to take ownership of. Facts don’t hurt people.

So there is a perfectly logical reason that children end up miles from where they disappeared, the Park Service doesn’t keep records, dogs cant find a scent, and bodies show up in areas that have been searched multiple times. Multiple other discrepancies. Symbios, please enlighten us with your expertise.

    • Scott R

I think your first problem is you think you’re an expert. I’ve been doing what do for over 28 years now. I am in the top 1% of my field, this coming week I’m being interviewed (the second time this year) for an article in a trade publication because I have a reputation for being and using cutting-edge technology and processes.

Having said that, I would never refer to myself as an expert. Thet moment when you start thinking like that or believing your own hype you stop growing and learning.

You say you’ve read his books? Well, he discusses hypothermia and PU and why he feels these stories might fall outside both phenomena. I don’t know, maybe your reading comprehension sucks, or you’re blinded by hubris?

      • F S

        Scott:
May I respectfully ask your full name?
What is the field for which you are in the top 1%?
(Calling one’s self an expert = Saying “I’m in the top 1% of my field is the same thing.)
Pot – kettle. Kettle – meet pot.

        • Scott R

No you’re not going to get my full name, and even if you had it, you’d realize just how stupid it is to even attempt to vet my claim. Although I am highly respected and paid for what I do, it’s e-commerce and I am nobody in a fucking sea of nobody’s.

And it’s not the pot calling the kettle black, if you don’t understand that my claim was made to make an analogy, and not to stroke a fragile ego, then it serves as more proof your reading comprehension is shit!

          • F S

Haha! Yeah. It’s OBVIOUS what a scholar and a gentleman you are.
Have fun in your imaginary world of the 1%!
            HAHAHA!!!!

      • Michael L

Well said Scott.. When any one starts calling themselves an expert, they immediately are no longer one..However, you can still be in the top 1% of anything and still not be an expert..How does other dude explain the college kid that while during a cold winter disappeared at Crater Lake National Park? His clothes were found when it was warm and his belt was unbuckled with the pants and underwear peeled down his legs to the top of his shoes. His skull cap was found with little pieces of bone around the area, foot and a shin bone were still in his shoes with the pants melted-looking down by his feet. What would have taken the time to eat him in that manner?….

      Synbios:
He had alienated MANY people in the genre.
There is something strange going on in the National Forests, but why should he be the only person who can discuss it? Why can’t people question him or form opinions?
With his thinking, there should be only one person per phenomenon.
When someone is a proven hoaxer – ALL of their “research” is questionable, IMO.

  3. F S

DP is a bully who goes after other researchers, only does interviews if you buy his books and pass a quiz, steals other people’s research, and threatens people who question his work. He also changes facts to fit his “profiles”.
He was forced into early retirement from the SJPD when he was charged with using his position to get autographs from “celebrities”, including Lionel Ritchie. He told the people they were to be used for a fake wall at the police station.
    Check it out. It’s true.
    Just another snake oil salesman.
(“His” research was around in other books and on blogs at least 20 years before he “discovered” it. Nothing new here.)

    • F S

He also took $150k from a kicks start to produce a documentary, but has not delivered the show or any of the “gifts” for contributing, but had time to travel to other countries.

  4. Danny H

He never says why because like the bigfoot community, most would just try to disprove it if his answer didn’t fit their particular theories. So much for an open mind……

    • DrAaron

Yup, I have been there too! I got stiffed out of $20K by a person I purchased diagnostic equipment from (that never existed) only to see them get a slap on the wrist. This kind of stuff will eat you up inside if you let it. FS, he is the one that has to lay his head in the pillow at night knowing what he has done.
I still think we can take this concept and exclude the messenger.

I think David is great w one Negative comment. His avoidance of the naming the “cause(s)” of these disappearances is respectable to a point but I think he goes to great lengths to not name names as a bit of a marketing ploy….leaving the cause to the imagination….still love the guy but at the end of the day he needs to put food on the table…I just wish he’d name names!!!! Frustrating….Hahaha….but I still love the guy and find the cases fascinating.

  6. Glen K

David Paulides takes a hard look at an issue in our country which deserves attention and research : Missing Persons. UFO’s , Bigfoot,
sex-traficiking,. Whatever the Cause , he sheds light on an epidemic that must be studied until we do get some answers. I commend him for his work. Also, I had never heard the term “paradoxical undressing” before until I read some of the comments. I looked it up, and found another fascinating by product of hypothermia called “terminal-burrowing.” Could that act account for some of the bodies never being found???

  7. Pat T

Wes, why has DP refused to come on this show and discuss certain cases such as the football player found in Michigan where people had reported Bigfoot activity in the area, also in the Martin case people reported seeing a hairy upright being carrying a small boy on his shoulder. Just curious as your forum would reach a lot of potential purchasers of his books and viewers of his upcoming movie. Love your show and continue the good work.

Am so thankful someone has taken this upon themselves & put centuries of undocumented deaths into a searchable forum. Hopefully sooner than not there will be concrete answers for families & friends. Would be nice for all of us to have answers as to how many what’s the rest of us should be aware of as we venture into the forests surrounding our homes & towns. I feel confident in accepting BF in a bad mood is something I want no part of, hopefully answers to what else is out there or up there or down there that we all need to be aware of. Thank you Mr. Paulides for your endless research for all the missing, & thank you Wes for bringing it to your forum so even more people will become aware. We all need to make family & friends aware of Mr. Paulides’s upcoming fireside chat shows on Outdoor Channel & upcoming Missing 411 Movie, also his five books are available on links through both of his websites, they are cheapest there asking only twenty five dollars per book. We all own a sense of responsibility in doing whatever we can to educate people about the unknowns that can result in ones death!
