Thanks Wes. There are accounts from the Long Range Recon patrols encountering these beasts. Yes, our guys were attacked and they killed the rock apes.

My husband was in Vietnam War 1970-71.
I ask him if he witness or herd about bigfoot while over there?
He said he herd nothing about bigfoot.
It doesn’t mean they are not real.
My husband talk about the tree spirits while in Vietnam.

Over the years I have heard a number of stories of the Rock Apes, enough to convince me. Any why not, the Chinese have the Yeren and Gigantopithicus was in this general area.
The gentleman presents this well. A couple of the stories I have heard, although just a bit different. The Central Highlands of Vietnam was notorious for these creatures. I asked a Vietnam Vet a few years ago if he knew anything about the Rock Apes. He chuckled and said no, however he brother was in Naval Intelligence ( I guess the Thomas Magnum of his unit ) and assigned for a stay in the Central Highlands and had an encounter(s).
