Silver Back Gorilla VS Grizzly Bear

Tony Merkel from the confessionals podcast posted this and I thought it was an interesting comparison. He writes “The picture poses a fun debate. But this fun debate should put some perspective on the EXTREME strength and size of a sasquatch.

Hypothetical:
Let’s say you add 40% to the stats of the Silver Back Gorilla for a (possible) estimated average of sasquatch.

Weight: 700 LBS
Height: 8’3
Bite Force: 1,820 PSI
Strength: 6,173 LBS

That’s a big boy! With that strength probably comes unimaginable speed and agility.”

Duke, that’s why when I bowl with grizzlies I always let them use the gutter guards. But seriously there is nothing in the human body that even comes close to the toughness of a bowling ball. unless we are armed we are a slow easy meal.

I had never seen a picture of an adult male orangutan until recently. I had only seen smaller ones or Females. It was the most unnatural looking thing.
Sasquatch witnesses say the same thing, that they look unnatural. By the pictures I have seen of Sasquatch it seems more natural to me than an adult male orangutan. Also, gorillas are also extremely strange looking as well. Something to think about…

Just seen a mount of at Bass pro in Colorado springs of like a 400 lb grizzly. I have big bears here at my house and am headed into the San jaun mtns on Thursday to look for elk. My new carry gun is a 10mm Glock 20. Can never be too careful around here.

Doug, I made the same caliber decision for a handgun used as protection against wildlife. I prefer autos over revolvers and the 10mm has comparable stats to a .41 mag. The San Juan s have BF and black bear and there have been reports of grizzly being seen and tracks found but nothing confirmed. Stay safe.

Doug, I’d get some heavy hard cast 10mm rounds from underwood or buffalo bore, that’s what I run in my Glock 20 when I’m in the woods, they work best in an aftermarket barrel like lone wolf or storm lake but are still fairly accurate out of the stock Glock barrel up close. Also I’m considering possibly having my Glock sent out to get chambered in 460 Rowland, amazing ballistics out of that round and the upgrade is not that expensive. Can’t be too careful in bear country.
