I want to thank the listeners for sending this story to me. I have been watching it closely. This is not a safe place after dark, I hope they find him I will be going up later today to search for him, I know the area well and know the general direction he would have gone for cell service. I really hope he is found alive and well.
YACOLT, WA
Tuesday was Day 3 of the search for a Gresham man who disappeared near Larch Mountain in Clark County.
Authorities said 27-year-old Vadim Mukhin was camping with his friends and family about 10 miles outside of Yacolt when he walked away to try to get cell service and never came back.
On Saturday night, Mukhin was camping with several other people at the Sunset Falls campground in the Larch Mountain area. His relatives said he walked down the main road to find a cell signal around 6 p.m., and that’s the last anyone saw of him.
Volunteer search teams scoured the area again Tuesday looking for Mukhin. There’s still no sign of him, but his family told FOX 12 they found his beige and white jacket and his white jeans.
Family members said that when Mukhin isn’t on mission trips, he works as a truck driver, adding that he’s a wonderful person who makes everyone laugh.
Sister-in-law Yana Mukhin told FOX 12 finding his clothing without him was tough news to take in.
“it’s very hard, but at the same time, we’re getting somewhere,” she said. “Not finding anything is also hard too, but finding something give us hope that at least we’re getting closer somewhere.”
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is also using a drone to search for Mukhin. Volunteers and deputies are done for the night, but they will resume searching Wednesday morning.

My heart goes out to the family…thanks wes.

FIND HIM WESS
WALT D
Used to live in Clark County. Hope he is found safe but finding his pants and jacket is a little disturbing. Sounds more like foul play but you never know.
Wes
Walt, I agree. If you know the area where he disappeared it makes no sense. He can only go left or right coming out of that campground. Left takes you back to town, right leads him to Yacolt Mtn. It is a strange place to disappear because a normal person would stay on the roads it makes zero sense to leave the road. If he goes right he has to understand he is heading up in elevation. He didnt fall into the river because the Lewis River is too shallow right there.
Nick H
Finding his clothes without him Reminds me of the story of the mountain-biker who took his clothes off because he felt hot from the infrasound that hit him. I hope that they find him Ok.
Wes
I pray he is just a lost camper but the area he left is about a mile and a half where Woody and I had an encounter. This is not an area to just take a stroll at night, unarmed.
Carol Germer
that’s right Nick. I remember that one.
Trent M
Like Nick I also was reminded of the biker that stripped down because of infra sound and I was also afraid it was close to where Wes and Woody had their encounter and now that has been confirmed. Scary area, I hope he is found but didn’t a Native American woman go missing in that area 2 years ago? If I remember correctly she was never found either.
Mauri G
My heart breaks for the family as well, I pray they get some kind of closure, hopefully they will find him
Brad C
Finding his closes like that reminds me of 411 stories
Chris K
That’s what I was thinking. David Politis or however you spell his last name. His books. That’s what I instantly thought of. I hope he is found.
Amy D
My first thought was about that biker who took his clothes off too.. i Hope he is found safe…but his location has brought to mind something I have always wondered Wes,, have you ever talked to anyone who had a similar experience as you & Woody maybe encountering the same group of Sasquatch…,Stay safe!
Bal G
Everything that I’ve heard and read from this podcast has led me to believe that bigfoot encounters from the Pacific northwest were somewhat peaceful. I thought the “patty Gimlin” types were typically non-aggressive compared to the other parts of the country. They were more curious than anything else. I wonder what changed. Human encroachment? Lack of food? Something seems to have changed. Maybe the young man just got lost in the woods. But then why would he take his pants off? So sad to hear this. His family has to be going through pure agony, not knowing what happened to him. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
Wayne K
Bal, cmon man ,these things aren’t peaceful if they can take advantage of you they will. They found his jacket and jeans…. not good . Be interesting to know what agencies are there.
Nick H
I am sure Wes would not agree based in his and Woodys own encounter.

The way his clothing was found may be important. The oddity of neatly folded clothing opposed to ripped, torn and bloody clothing is critical information. In the 411 accounts often neatly folded clothing are found even of children. What’s that about? There are accounts of persons zapped with infrasound removing clothing, but I don’t think it’s done as a neat little bundle. I’ve often wondered if clothing is removed due to scent? As in tracking dogs. Anything that can fold clothes needs at least two things, hands and intelligence. Hands for folding. Intelligence for the reasoning behind the need to fold and leave clothing in plain sight.
Steven B
Thanks for the news item, Wes. Happening so close to where you and Woody were confronted I *hope* is only coincidence. The finding of clothing makes me apprehensive though. I hope he is found ok. I really feel for his family and friends.
Pat T
Hey Wes, thanks for donating your time in the search. I was just sitting here reading DP’s latest effort” Off the Grid”. Amazing just how many people go missing with no trace of anything found. Sounds like you know that area like the back of your hand. Be careful out there and with Gods grace he might be found alive
Jamie m
I bet he has German heritage
Deborah S
I’m a new member.. have you done a blog on Jacob gray ? Missing since April 2017.. sol duc national park.
Tedd
I apologize if it was said but I’m sick as hell and have pink eye on top of only having one eye so having tough time reading. Where clothes found close to water? Any news? Feel for families and pray for that soul now.
Brad C
ok my next question how cold was it up there and was he drinking
Gene P
Hi Wes
Could you give us follow up reports on this missing gentleman?
David W
Finding the clothes? I can’t help but think of the story about mountain biker who got Hot and started removing his clothes while being Hit with infer sounds. I hope he is okay
Glenda M
David W. That’s exactly what I thought. Scary, he couldn’t have left briefly at 6p to try and get a cell signal and just vanish. Especially walking down a road. I hope they find out what happened to him soon. Poor guy. My heart goes out to the family.
Amy H
I read that his coat was found in the river. Yikes! It gets cold up there this time of year. I doubt, but hope, this is going to turn out well. He looks like a strong man so I think it would be difficult for other people to grab him. I wonder how long he was gone before people realized he was “gone”? So sad. My heart goes out to the family.
Forrest W
Sure has the Infrasound signature, shedding clothes. Sure hope he is found ok!
pam
Uh oh, sounds 411 ish. And way too close to Wes n Woodys site! Hoping for the best. Side note, heard on our news the Yacolt mtn. area is being warned for landslides!
Mark T
I hope they find him okay…
Latch Mountain was where I had the big rotting log rolled down the hill at me while grouse hunting… when I smelled the awful stench and think I got between a juvenile and adult while bird hunting.
I always drove up through Bear Prairie… I never realized Latch Mountain was so close to Yacolt Mountain… never looked at a map when I was younger, I guess.

It pisses me off that the government not only knows about the existence of these creatures and dogmen, but has been studying them secretly for decades, they don’t give a damn about the publics safety. The government agencies just play dumb and the sheeples believe them.
Amy M C
I’m in your camp, Nick. They have known for years but think we can’t handle the truth !
Rod C
I wonder if the beige and white jacket and white jeans would be considered “bright clothing” that people should not wear in the woods. I hope and pray this turns out OK. Prayers for the family. Keep us posted,
Amy M C
Wes, Yes,please keep us in the loop! Finding his jacket and pants doesn’t sound great, but miracles do happen! Family and you searchers are in my prayers!
Jon T
I am with nick h I thought the government work for us
Mark T
Anybody know if they found him yet?
Gumshoguy
On this theme of found clothes, I am not totally sold on the idea that when people go missing they disrobe themselves because of overheating. Not in all cases, when we eat out meals or purchase something from a store unwrap it and discard the wrappings. People are like food snacks to some of these predators and your clothes are the wrappers to discard. Just a thought.
Dovie D
I have not heard anymore about this in the past few days but usually what occurs when people around here come up missing after a week the news just drops off. Wes have you heard more?
Dovie D
I just called the sheriff’s office and still no word. Saterday the 6th.
Wes
I am heading up again tonight to search for him. I will try to shoot some video and when you see the camp ground and his “options” on where to go it makes ZERO sense he just vanished.
Kelsey B
Hey Wes, did you manage to take some video or photos of said area? Still no word from anyone on finding what happened?
Nick H
Be careful, take Woody with you nd go armed
