SC EP:473 Terror in the Woods

Tonight I speak with author W.J. Sheehan who wrote Bigfoot Terror in the Woods volumes 1-4. This book is a compilation of sightings, encounters and evidential findings as they pertain to Bigfoot in North America and those who have encountered them.

This was a great show! Please do have him back soon for a part two. I really want to hear the angel story, and yours too Wes.
I could’ve listened to the author all night. That went by too fast.

This was a wonderful show. I have read all his books and am looking forward to 5 and 6. It was so nice to hear the author himself and be able to put a voice with the name. I am wondering if Mr. Sheehan would be willing to write some books about angels. I would love to hear those stories as well. Please schedule the second show soon. Thanks Wes and thank you Mr. Sheehan!

I’ve read a couple BF books, and mostly people are postulating about what they may or may not be. I particularly love SC because you allow folks to get their experiences out, and don’t drill ’em or contradict them at all. It’s so refreshing. Anyway, I want to get these books now that Bill’s been on the air. It was very good having him give examples from his contributors. One question though, wasn’t there an account on SC about the same scenario? The man went to target practice, saw something (it was presumed) and was found folded in half, his head twisted backward and he was stuffed under the dash. Seems he had a rifle bent in half too, I think.

Gee whiz Wes, you’re teasing us, your audience. We all want to hear your experiences in the woods. Looking forward to that. I still think you should compile a book. You could get someone to write it for you if you don’t have the time. Thanks for the additional podcast. We appreciate you. 🙂

I feel like the guest was Bernie Sanders, and I could picture him. Including the hand gestures, and that voice with the accent. Anyway just wanted to let you know. Very good show Wes thank you!

Thank you Wes for having Mr. Sheehan on. It will be one of my favorite shows. I am so looking forward to getting the books. Yes, please do another show so we can hear the angel story and more encounters.

Hey Wes….what a great show this was. Big big shoutout to Bill Sheehan. Thank you so much Bill…..I was on the edge of my seat listening to you read those stories…….Thank you!!! YEEEEEE HAWWWWW!!!!!

  7. Chuck S

Great show today! The fact that it was early was a bonus. After listening to this episode, I downloaded this book from Amazon, and am almost done reading it. I hope he releases parts 4 and 5 soon, because it won’t take long to read volumes 2 and 3.

Great show I could have listened for hours, guest was such a great story teller! I had heard Coonbo awhile back tell that one about the practice pit,I believe he said he had spoke to one of the law officers that was there. Please have back on soon I love angel encounters ? and I’m dying to hear yours Wes too❤️

  9. Dovie D

Wow, wow! I plan to purchase the “books” . I hope he comes back on and shares more encounters. I will read the books then give them to my youngest daughter who laughs at me when I share about Sasquatch. I told her just take a weapon when you go camping or when you go for a walk in the woods. It is scary in those woods. I think about all the camping, hunting, fishing, hiking I use to do for years. It is NOT the same anymore. Thank you Wes and Mr. Sheehan.

I just give people the benefit of the doubt that their experiences are real that way it is most enjoyable , the thing is that Wes is not going to put encounters on that he feels are not real . I rarely feel any of these encounters are not real and most all are extremely fascinating along with the conversations , insight and opinions etc . If someone lies then so be it and it is bound to happen at some point but really who cares it’s no skin off my knee and really is just an indication of who that person really is and what type of life they live . Plus Wes has a BS indicator and is just letting that person make a fool of themselves .

  11. David G

Bill and Wes, this was one of your best shows! It was very interesting from many different angles.

Wes please have Bill back soon. Maybe do part non-bigfoot and other part Bigfoot encounters. We appreciate all the work you both have done to put all the information and show together.

Everyone, please buy a podcast and tell a friend to help Wes with some resources. The fact that the government keeps all this secret really does piss me off! Mostly, they are dangerous animals (?) that will be killing more people. When they slaughter the wrong person at the wrong time, it’s going to hit the fan! Or maybe someone will have the courage to come forward and blow the whistle on it. Too many people know about the lies. It will come out. Eventually…

Thanks Wes and others who put this together!

Greatest show I’ve ever heard. Such detail in the stories. I’ve never pulled a sheet over me as he read the stories in apprehension of what he was going to read next, because I felt it coming. Both of you men have a great deal of knowledge, and I’m a better person for hearing this show. Thank you so much.

Wes thankyou so much for bringing to us such a talented author . As always a terrific show. The ease with which the two of you gentleman conversed back and forth about one of my favorite subjects was a pleasure to listen to …I learned a so much . The way he narrated the encounters kept me riveted. I m going to be getting the book for sure .

  13. Lee F

    Great show Wes!

The last encounter sounded very similar to a story that Bear & Coonbo told that took place in an abandoned quarry near the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky near the Tennessee border. – The main difference was that while the victim was bent in half backwards as the author described, he was stuffed behind the steering wheel, and not under the dash.

Could this incident have happened twice, or do you think the location & circumstances were changed to spare the feeling of the victims family?

  14. Bruce F

    Hello from Scotland wes
Absolutely brilliant brilliant show, right up there with the best and that’s no mean feat.
Ordered 2 books already . Look forward to having him on again .

  15. Cristina J

Loved this episode!!! Felt like we just found another fan favorite. Just signed up on Kindle to read all of Bill’s books. I hope he’s back for more encounters and I would love to hear the angel story and wes’s Homeless man story

I was listening to this episode on my headphones while at work and just as they were talking about a raccoon, something jumped on my leg and I’m not going to lie I jumped back thinking that a rat was about to put a whooping on me. Luckily it was just a little shitzu that had got out and wanted me to pet him. Great episode, I will need to check out those books.

  17. Charles R

Guess I have to get these books, just some astonishing stories. The practice pit, well Bill I would also guess that he probably pulled that rifle on a not so happy sasquatch and pulled the trigger. Put the gun down, turn around and walk out and live another day. Just an opinion based on experience.

I doubt the Tennessee hunter was 25 feet up, which would put the shoe at 22 feet or higher. Most people have a hard time judging height and weight, I imagine I do also. Probably between 15 to 18 feet up that tree. Over the years I have heard of several of these type of encounters where the Sasquatch sneaks up from behind and will grab a foot. They all ended the same way. A mischievous Sasquatch playing with the hunter and then just walks away. Of course dead men tell no tales, except forensic if found.

  18. Jacqueline N

Love this show! Great stories! Just got your books on my kindle. And I keep thinking about a stuffed Bigfoot head (and maybe body!) somewhere. Oh how I would love to see it in person. Where could it be???

  19. Shannon M

Just starting this episode can’t wait!

One question – does anyone recall a story about a man his wife and kids who had bf or Dogman on the property? I recall that he had to go and look for his neighbors bird? Does this sound familiar? Any help is appreciated.

  20. Joel V

In john greens on the track of Sasquatch book He describes an account of a few construction workers working in the bighorn damn in Canada described seeing a Sasquatch that was 15 feet tall! They were able to go over where itcstodd for comparison! It was 3 times the hieght of a man! There is no other subject better than Sasquatch! Thanks for the great episode! This is so great! I’m buying his books’

  21. Jeffrey H

Excellent show! I did hear about the gentleman at the shooting range that had been folded in half but folded not chest to thighs but the opposite direction, with the back to the back of the man’s legs. This story that really seems to match was told by as close to an expert we have in the Bigfoot world, Coonbo aka Tim. I’m just going to have to add this list of books to listen too. Thanks gentlemen for the great all around show!

  22. Michael H

Great show, but at 1:27:30 you mention Celeocam, the fish you speak of is actually Coelacanth. Great example, but not an easy name.
(Sea-Leo-Can-Th) what you mentioned was the camera That they might take the picture with, a Celeocam-era. Thanks Wes

  23. Molly Hart L

Seriously, Wes and William – Are there any plans for audio books of this material to be released? Would love to have them read in Williams voice. He brings so much conviction and emotion to the story. It draws you in. Very powerful stuff. Would be great to listen to these audio stories while doing projects.

  24. Bill S

W.J. Sheehan…I am not one to listen to praises when they are coming in my direction. However, through the prodding of a good friend, he told me that I should read what was written and so I did. I want to thank you all and Wes for such a warm reception for the work that I created. Perhaps some day I will attempt an audio book if the right person comes my way to tutor me, but for now, its the keyboard and my old two finger method. There is much more coming so fasten your seat belts and hold on tight. Your the best!

  25. Kelsey B

Wow. I’ve been behind on my episode listening and holy guacamole, Wes. The encounters, especially the one concerning poor Chip here in the PNW, just have me going “NOPE!” to any solo ventures deep into the woods. Imma get me these books! Great show! Loved Sheehan’s voice. Great diction!

  26. Ernest M

I purchased volume one and wish I hadn’t. Here it is 1:36 Pacific and this ol’ dude, who’s normally in bed by 9:00, is still up reading. Dang you Wesley for having Bill on (LOL)!
No doubt Bill will return, please don’t have us wait too long.

Wow-! what great conversion chemistry you two have,, so excited to hear another episode with the angel stories as well. Absolutely awesome show Wes, thank you to you both.

  30. Avrin D B

I truly enjoy listening to Mr Sheehan, I think he should read his own material in audible form. I use Audible a lot and would happily buy his books. He is so personable and is dramatic when needed and laughs at a funny part. I believe he should go for it in his own wonderful voice. Thanks so much for a great show.

  31. Miss Kendall S

I love his books I have three of them and I just can’t wait to be able to get the whole series and I can’t wait for you to have him on again I love both of the shows with him and he does really good reading some of the encounters So I really hope you bring him back on for a 3rd time and a 4th and a 5th LOL

  32. Penny F

WJ Sheehan! Wow! These encounters are so intense! Thank you Bill and Wes for this episode. I was completely BLOWN away! How in the world can anyone just brush these encounters under the rug? Listened to part two already. Love Bill, going to buy his books right now!

  33. craig d

Yea another author who thinks he has this being sussed out. Yea lots of animals act like Sasquatch. 👍
How can so many people still have the wool pulled over their eyes? I think it’s fear, they don’t want to face the truth so stick within ordinary boundaries. Wes introduces the author Bill, as a very smart guy but he can’t be that smart if he thinks Sasquatch is an ordinary normal animal.

  34. Janet P

The author spoke very clear and read the stories well. I could hear him read those stories all day long….wonder if he has an audio version of these stories. Looking into getting the books. These long episodes are great, so don’t ever think they are too long Wes! There is a pause button if people need to take a break:)
