SC EP:460 A massive human looking thing with red hair

A listener writes “It was the fall of 1994 when I had my encounter. This took place in northern New Hampshire.

It was a warm fall day must have been in the 70’s that day. The foliage was absolutely beautiful. So I decided to take a walk into the woods that day. I grew up loving the forest and nature. As kids we would play paintball every weekend.

So I was a good hour/hour and a half into the woods, the forest was alive with activity that day, birds chirping, frogs croaking and squirrels running about. I came to an area when I noticed the lack of all sound. I was taught that if this happens chances are that a predator is nearby. So I stopped and looked around, at about 200 to 250 feet in front of me was this massive human looking thing with red hair all over its body except its face and hands, like an orangutans. It had hands and not paws. It looked like a jacked up basketball player. Its face looked like a baboon but its skin was a charcoal black.

The thing was at least 10 feet tall if not more. It had its back against a telephone pole and it looked as if it was scratching its back. Its arms where out in front of it as it moved side to side scratching its back. The hair on its arms was about 8 inches long. I could see the muscles in its legs and arms. It never once looked in my direction. Every ounce of my being was telling me to run. I slowly began walking to my right, looking over my shoulders to make sure it was not coming. Once I heard the birds again is when I felt save enough to run. I never told anyone this until (2017) I will never forget that day.”

Greatly appreciated. Even though I’m a member your site won’t let play any members episodes. It keeps telling me I’m logged in, but that an error has occurred.
Thanks Wes…….I’ll have to figure out what’s wrong later.

    Tony,
on behalf of the Sasquatch Chronicles family, I want to apologize for Wes’s behavior, in representing the members I want to say we are huge fans of yours and in no way should his actions reflect upon the membership.
We feel really bad about what he did and we the members would like to make it up to you, what we plan to do is……. Oh crap, let me get back to you, my Chinese food is here.

Was it just me or after all the high stress from the Bigfoot talk and ecounters….. Did anyone else just about wreck their house when sabotage hit?!?!?

I am really beginning to wonder if Wes isn’t actually secretly related to Tony….this seems like sibling torture to me. I totally cracked up! Oh, and great episode!

Hi Fredrick, excellent! I really never even considered BF in NH until SC. Wes has really educated us all around. Thank you so much for sharing your encounter. Here’s a cool link for you if you don’t already have it. Have a good day.

That click Wes played from East Texas sounded like two or three creatures. My dad used to assure me it was not ghosts or banshees, just Black Panthers in the swamp and bayou. Later (when I was a teenager) he’d tell me there are boogers in the woods so don’t go out there.

My take on the screams Wes played is the creatures are just having a good time. Think about it, they normally slink and sneak around, but at night it’s a free for all. If they’re not hunting they’re letting it all hang out. It must be a relieve for them.

I just love your interaction with the guests. I appreciate it so much. Hey Wes, thanks for the extra show too. You are truly the best. Bless you friend. 🙂

    Wha! Tony! Boo HOO!

Awesome encounter Fredrick, thanks!. Power lines again , I was really thinking Dog Man until later into the encounter. Different behaviours last week. This week totally different looking monster. What the hell are these things?

I can relate to this encounter. The one I encountered had the more babboon type face as well. We obviously were fortunate that during the various encounters there wasn’t any really aggressive actions by them. The most aggressive would have been when they chased us off a soybean field. But even then, they could have caught us if they’d wanted to, so obviously they just wanted us to leave. Whatever the reason, I’m glad they didn’t decide to get aggressive!

It was good that the one Fredrick saw didn’t notice him and come after him. No way you’re gonna outrun a 10 feet tall Sasquatch, even if you did have a 100 yard headstart!

Ditto BF is cool…DM is cooler! The Baboon-head types sound wayyyyy more terrifying. Grew up about 50 miles East of Conway NH which is beautiful area of the White mountains…plenty of undeveloped land all the way to Quebec, hard and soft woods and seasonal crops esp apple orchards. All ideas are valid but i dont see native Americans as ever having had control over these things…if anything they were on the defensive. Great encounter and he kept his cool to live to tell the tale.

Ya a guy went for a hike on. One if the hiking trails at Mt Saint Helens last Thursday and seems to have walked off the face of the earth. The car was found but search crews have found no sign of him as of today Monday August 13. I pray he is found but … no telling what happened to him. saint Helens area is notorious for Sasquatch but then people don’t believe there is such a thing. What upsets me is “the government” says nothing nor do they post “ beware” signs. Blood is in in their heads. ???

You screwed us out of some quality input from Tony Merkel Wesley… sad. I would be surprised if he ever returns, especially after making him lose over 50 minutes that he could have spent doing something productive.
