SC EP:406 The Sasquatch Savant Theory

Christopher Noël returns to the show as we discuss behavior. Chris puts forth a theory that the behavior you see and hear about with Sasquatch is very close to the same behavior we see in humans who have autism.

In Chris’s book The Sasquatch Savant Theory he writes “Although we cannot yet study the psychology of Sasquatch directly, we are in good position already to make educated guesses about their mentality based on behavioral analysis. Skeptics are fond of asking, as though no answer were remotely possible, “HOW could an eight-foot-tall primate exist undiscovered in our back yard?” Meeting the issue head-on, THE MIND OF SASQUATCH outlines the Sasquatch Savant Theory, revealing a personality profile of the species that differs substantially from any offered before. Sasquatch are hardwired by evolution to conceal themselves, interacting with us only in a mediated, indirect fashion. Their tactical genius and other striking abilities mirror gifts seen in people known as autistic savants.”

Should be an interesting night discussing behaviors of these creatures.

I will also be speaking to Claudia Ackley who will be sharing her encounter and talking about her lawsuit against California State.

Yes there is a Sasquatch hotline, it’s called Sasquatch Chronicles!! I loved that lady. You go!!! She’s right, Wes, you have done so much for us all.
I bought Chris’ Savant book, I think it will make an interesting read.
Heart and prayers to all in FL, what a beautiful tribute Wes. I’m crying for them all.

    • Janet B

Janeda I had exactly the same reaction as you. What a truly moving tribute to those that lost their lives. Thank you so much Wes for all the marvelous things you do for all of us.

The autistic meltdown, in my experience, often comes from frustration because the person is unable to express or articulate a problem and gets overwhelmed. I agree with the assertion that it’s an attempt to regain or reestablish control. My youngest son threw alot of tantrums as a child because he was, at the time, much less communicative. As he grew older and learned to express himself better, the meltdowns reduced. They still happen, but it’s because he feels something has gotten beyond his control.

This is a very interesting theory and makes alot of sense. I can clearly see what Chris is saying – that it’s the higher mental functions that are similar and not at all that Sasquatch has mental health issues.

    Great discussion thus far.

The ironic thing is that none of the scientific principles you believe in have you actually seen evidence for. The beliefs that we currently hold to be true you TRUST are true, you haven’t actually witnessed proof of them yourself. You just trust that there is proof because someone in charge told you they have proof. The same is true for a number of w00 w00 subjects: there is convincing evidence that prove these events take place but the people who make decisions in these areas say there is no proof.
And you believe them because they are in charge.
As a member of law enforcement for over 10 years, trust me, someone in charge saying something does not make it true. All scientific studies, ALL OF THEM, are paid for by bug business or politicians. Politicians grant colleges and businesses money to conduct studies. Businesses conduct studies. If you trust big business and government to be honest you believe in the least likely reality and most w00 w00 theory out there.

  3. Cassandra S

I agree with Wes. We don’t know which ones can be trusted and which ones cannot be trusted. Also, I think Chris is incorrect when he said something to the effect that there are more happy encounters than unhappy encounters. If these creatures are as intelligent as Chris and many others believe, then they would know to “play” people to gain trust and close proximity. I just don’t think we should try to domesticate them, even if it is just in the back yard. Too close for comfort. But interesting interview and as usual, Sasquatch Chronicles is a great place for information.

    Oh Wes,
So good to take a breath and enjoy your show.
Just learned my husbands cancer has grown.
A step out of my reality, is so welcome.
I think of Doc…. how strong these people with cancer
    are.
Wish all with illness could take the medicine,
    which is Sasquatch Chronicles.
    My well wishes to you,
    Tamsin ?
    Thank you

~ Here’s one of my favorite people, who happens to be autistic. http://www.templegrandin.com/ And yes, she IS a genius. 🙂
I believe Kevin’s story about Glagg. He (Glagg) grew up and was ‘different’ but still came close to Kevin, and even showed Kevin his (Glagg’s) new spouse. I loved that. /// I’m proud of you Wes. You are an ambassador of peace in the hard hitting community of Bigfoot. /// Good for you Claudia. You rock. It’s TIME for people to defend people. Ignorance is NOT bliss! Please set up an online account (GoFundMe) and I’ll send you what I can, and bet others will help you too! – Thanks for sharing Mr. Noel. You certainly didn’t sound pathetic. /// That’s awesome Wes. One of my favorite songs. That particular Hawaiian gentleman singing is also in ‘Paradise’. God is good. You are tenderhearted, Wes. That’s a characteristic of your heavenly Father. Blessings…

    Wes,
    Just finished this episode.
Sad truth your shows ending brings the loss of
family and friends has many faces.
My heart goes out to those and to you for
making me see loss comes in many forms
Murder of a children trumps all.
    No pun intended.
My heart goes out to those families.
    Bless you Wes ?

  7. Karen C

Wes your tribute to the assistant coach and janitor made me start crying, he was a big kind man like you, the kids loved him at school and will miss there Hero!…Thank You for mentioning him…

  8. pam

I wish the shooting victims’ families, friends and the children that witnessed this awful event, to be able to find peace……and pray that it is the final school shooting we ever hear about. The coaches story made me bow my head Wes, I hope to meet him in Paradise.

Thanks Chris Noel, having read your books and following you for a few years now, this interview really helped me understand, better, your theory. You are a deep thinker, man!

Claudia- my friend , “you did good ” girl! Nice job in telling folks the real reason we need to get behind your court action as it truly is for all of us that have had experiences with this creature! It is a gesture that while it may be futile in the litigation sense, could become a grassroots movement for recognition -in the least – that many here have voiced about trail markers, warning signs anything- even simply mentioning the possibility of a “large animal” sighting and a ‘beware’ notice!!

And what about that Boy Scout, eh? Let’s dig into that story….

WES, again, and again you are lauded , and rightfully so, for doing your part in this ! Just a big ” thank you” , man.

  9. Ernest M

I hate to play Debbie Downer but sadly kind hearted Claudia wasted $1,500 because it’ll be thrown out as being frivolous but hopefully the presiding judge will at least give her the courtesy of hearing her argument.
The guy who walks the trail every day with his dog and armed who couldn’t say anything is more than likely from the Forestry Service or DFG.

  10. Matt W

I tend to agree with you Ernest, if the pictures and video we have available now arent good enough to prove anything; why take that same evidence to a court? Unless Claudia or Todd have a dead one that they havent mentioned, i really believe this is the wrong move. I do not feel the time is right to try to fight “the man.” We have to choose our battles wisely, kicking and stomping and trying to tell a judge to look at the pictures he has already seen on the internet seems, to me, not wise at this time.

  11. Rod C

Excellent show Wes. Very nice touch with “Over the Rainbow” tribute song for the Florida victims. Very, very sad that had to happen.

Claudia, you’ve got spunk. I wish you well in Court. Do you have a go fund me account set up?

  12. Doug K

Hey Wes…….another fantastic program. Thanks to both Chris and Claudia……… Best of luck to Claudia and her court case. I really loved the tribute you did for the teachers and students in Parkland, Fl. Keep up the good work, Wes.!!1 YEEEEEEE HAWWWWWW!!!!

  13. Sid N

Very good show! In my state all courtroom “hearings” are recorded on C.D.’s to which the parties may acquire a copy of, for a nominal fee. Additionally, if the case is heard on its merits, a negative decision is appealable to a higher court, usually the state Supreme Court, and the court of last resort, US Federal court. The US Federal Court only hears around 200 cases per year, and it’s very difficult to win a case there….but Anna Nicole Smith won her case there! If the Sasquatch case is denied, because of lack of merit, it’s moot. But that doesn’t mean that another future court case can’t be heard, with mounting evidence and witness testimony it can be done.

  14. Dave T

A really great show Wes. Needed a diversion from the sad events this week. I think Christopher Noel has a lot of great insight about Sasquatch but I also agree with you Wes about their dark side. I’ve experienced both sides of that coin so you can’t let your guard down while in their turf.
My hats off to Claudia. I wish her luck on her court case. I know she has an uphill battle but I like her tenacity and grit. I just wish we could have heard more details about her family’s encounter. I’m sure there’s a lot more details to it. We got something to look forward to the next time we hear from her.

  15. Bal G

Talk about a frivolous lawsuit. Miss Ackley, stop wasting California taxpayer money on something so useless. Stuff like this is why the white south votes Republican. Liberal whites in California and New York pay a combined 60 to 70 percent of all federal taxes. So Trump loving idiots in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana who don’t pay a dime still get all the the benefits. You think these Trumpsters don’t need Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and unemployment benefits? They just don’t want to pay for it. They think all of there money goes to blacks on welfare and food stamps. What an absolute joke? Are democrats perfect? Far from it. Obama was probably the worst thing that happened to this country. He was too far left even for me. But the last thing California needs is more tax wasting lawsuits. Give it a rest.

    • Trey

They pay that much tax in California and New York because there’s more people in those 2 cities than almost all states in the south combined (except maybe Florida) this is not a place for political discussion leave it to bigfoot topics. If you think it’s a waste of time and money just say that don’t go into all the political crap on here

    • Pete M

I agree with Trey, check the politics at the door, we come here to hear about cryptids and get away from politics. Just in the little bit that you’ve already said you’ve proved you have no clue what you’re talking about.

    • Eddie M

He don’t need to look at anything … if I place my hand on “ The Holy Bible” and sweat I saw you commit murder guess what? Prison is in your future … I will do the same for what I saw and have seen now multiple times. And these assholes stupid enough tell me I saw a Bear better be prepared to defend themselves.. at that point they’d be calling me a liar…and where I’m from a fight normally ensues.

    • Eddie M

Give it rest troll. California spends more of my tax money incarcerating illegal aliens than many state budgets. Californians step over human feces on their sanctuary city street because they’re too stupid to enforce the Federal Laws But, gladly except Federal money (my taxes) to pay for these criminals. You and people like you are exactly why those children in South Florida are dead today. Take morality and discipline out homes and schools then Bastard Undisciplined male children kill people. That’s why we never had this type of activity when I was growing up…We used common sense and parents were parents! You obviously didn’t have any and I’m sorry because your just one more problem for the rest of us that did.

  16. Trey

Great episode but I’m very intrigued and can’t wait to see the video her daughter shot of this thing. Please post if she’ll allow it. Thanks Wes and as always, Great job buddy

  17. Sheila

The autism theory is it interesting but what you are saying is these creatures never develop beyond a two or three year old autistic person. My nephew ranks high on the autism spectrum but he grew out the tantrums once he passed the age of five. I think your book has some points but you need to research about Autism a little more. There are too many degrees and outcomes with autistic people.

Good for Claudia Ackley because people need to know how to protect themselves when hiking in certain areas. Not all encounters are benign ones and people need to know what can happen if you cross one of these creatures and they are being aggressive. HOWEVER, I wish she never had a Go Fund Me page to raise money for her former situation because people are going to think her lawsuit is a money making proposition.

    • Don M

Well, WE know she’s the real thing, and any of Wes’ audience who can’t kick in a buck or five to subsidize her legal battle is a worthless wannabe Bigfooter.

    • Veronica C

Someone with autism will not likely graduate to better ways of learning how to cope if there is no one to teach them. They can come up with their own ways that work for them but graduating to higher levels of socially acceptable behaviors very strongly depends on their upbringing.

  18. Joan P

Hello All! Wes, great show as always. I appreciate the variety and depth we get into on this show.
Claudia- I wish you all the strength, perseverance and good luck in your pursuit. It is brave people like you and Wes that are moving the confirmation of this species forward.

  19. Pete M

Claudia, thank you for sharing, I believe you. I wish you well in court, try not to use “like” so many times in your speech when you testify, it makes you sound like an immature schoolgirl.

  20. Cindy W

Claudia you go girl!! I’m so proud of you for doing that! I’ve been thinking about suing my state as well but I have figured out how to go about that yet. You may have to help me when I get in over my head. Thank you for going forward because as you know, the Gov’t is NOT always right even thought they think they are and want you to think they are but they too are human. Thank you Wes for a great show as usual. Love you so much!!

  21. David J

Great episode, Wes! Claudia’s story gave me goosebumps. As the father of 4 girls, I would have done what she did in putting herself between the creature and het children. I was alone when I had my encounter and I thank God for it. I hope she succeeds in her lawsuit.

  22. Matt S

Interesting theory for sure but it is just speculation. I don’t know if I can put any stock in someone who name drops Ketchum. I found the story in the second segment interesting but unless that video is posted for all to see, it didn’t happen. Not trying to be harsh but I question everything in an effort to get an accurate picture of this phenomenon. You have video no one can see? That’s a huge indicator.

We are all hard wired, but we are also taught. Chris Noel’s Autism theory is the most interesting, and possibly ground breaking I have heard. However I believe it is just the way they are and how they deal with their environment and those pesky humans that surround them. What an account Claudia and good on your daughter to have the wither awl to take a video in a high high stress situation. I certainly hope you make this available even though cell phone videos in the bush are usually not so clear, maybe yours is. Good luck on your case, what an uphill battle you are fighting, but someone has to do it.

  24. Melanie W

    Fascinating discussion. Thanks Wes!
My son an I have been diagnosed with ADD, so I’ve read a lot about it. There is one researcher (Ed somebody… sorry, can’t remember his name) described the spectrum from no ADD and full blown ADD as a spectrum from farmer to hunter (my son and I being closer to hunters). I’ve always thought this might be related to our genetics. I’ve had my DNA tested, and I’m almost 4 percent Neanderthal (0.o), so there may be something to this. Of course, that would make me a “throw back”, lol. Anyway, perhaps Chris’ theory is something like this?

On a side note, I’ve always wondered if Sasquatch see our technology as magic… which would certainly support the evidence of their fascinating with us, and their fear (guns and fast cars aside) of us.

  25. Amy H

Claudia: what a woman! I wish you success and I’m happy to know a strong woman is raising future strong ladies.

Wes, you’ve got soul. A special man indeed.

  26. Scott D

Thank you Chris for your studies. There are human ‘Monsters’ in our world. Granted, Sasquatch are called ‘Monsters’ not necessarily for their behavior. But due to their appearance. This just shows us even more proof that we are related somewhere in our past. I also find it very disheartening to hear people go straight to super natural claims so quickly. Eliminate ALL natural explanations first. I can’t stand asinine supernatural assumptions being made without getting more data. Use science to solve mysteries… NOT emotions and feelings!

  27. Scott D

Best of luck to Claudia and her taking a stance against the ‘powers that be’. I just wish I had the resources to help her. I’m hoping that what she and Todd are trying to accomplish succeeds. At the very least, open eyes and may encourage others to come forward or even jump in to assist. A journey must begin with a first step…

  28. Taylor W

Chris, I have followed you for a few years. I agree with everything you’re saying I love your books I love to hear you speak on this subject I am so glad that you’ve done Sasquatch Chronicles. I believe on most days as you do.I have had some bad encounters.

  29. Ruth B

Really great show. I had already read one of Chris’s books–he’s incredibly brave. Good luck to Claudia–she comes across as very credible–if she can’t do it, it can’t be done. Beautiful tribute song at the end–up until now had never heard that singer before.

  30. Jan D

What cautions me against accepting the savant theory is the tendency to anthropomorphize animals (that is, to explain animal behavior in human terms). What if the animal Sasquatch has traits that we as humans merely interpret as autistic, when those same traits may just as easily be inherent to the animal and have little to do with any human condition? I mean, there isn’t a single trait displayed by Sasquatch that other animals and birds don’t display as well. To call these autistic may be casting the thing in human terms. Tantrums to assert control, for instance, are something many animals do when they are overwhelmed, afraid or frustrated. A penchant for order, regularity, symmetry is also a trait displayed by many animals. It’s not exclusive to autistic humans and Sasquatches. Just a thought to add to a very interesting and worthwhile discussion.

  31. Elizabeth R

A tremendous episode. I am fascinated to hear of the similarities between some autistic behaviours and sasquatch – what a clever observation. And Claudia – a hug from the UK for your brave and inspirational actions.

  32. Michelle L

Truly a riveting show – loved it. I thought all the guests were incredibly interesting and I hope we get to see Claudia’s videos before long. Wes, bless you for your beautiful end to the show. It makes my head reel to think that people can cause so much harm to one another. Thank you for doing that.

  33. Wolf

Chris is, IMO, close to the truth of the matter but goes awry because he, like most, he misunderstands the real cause of autism.

Sasquatch portrays ‘autistic’ traits because he lacks the frontal lobe development of humans. IMO there is a direct correlation between the incredible increase in autism over the last few decades and the sharp rise in vaccinations of the very young. Doctors and whistleblowers have come forth on this issue and been demonised by the Big-Pharma controlled media…

… vaccinations use heavy metals as carriers for the vaccines. These heavy metals damage the developing brain, which in babies is mostly the frontal lobes. Because said frontal lobes do not develop properly other sections of the brain develop to compensate, sometimes leading to what are referred to as ‘autistic savants’.

The same thing has happened many times to people in accidents that have damaged thier brains.
I knew a chap a few years ago with severe brain damage from a car accident. He could barely function or even talk. His social skills were really bad, wanting to screw females he met, pissing in potplants in restaurants, etc… yet occasionally demonstrated what could only be called ‘psychic abilities’ over and over again.

Sadly most autistics do not develop this ‘superpower’ and remain damaged for thier whole lives. I have a cousin like this. Very autistic, he has a near photographic memory but other than that is socially inept, something that requires a working frontal lobe.

Sasquatch shares similar traits to ‘autism’ because they do not have as developed a frontal lobe as humans do. They evolved differently, developing the back area of their brains… which, like Neanderthal, have a larger capacity than humans.

    • Teresa L

Wow thank you for the information, I really enjoyed reading your post. I know nothing about this topic, but I have seen Bigfoot or foot’s is was a few of them. I was scared out of my mind, however once I got home and thought about my encounter and how freaking smart they are, I keep going back to my encounter spot. I feel a huge connection to them idk why? Although I get afraid Everytime hopefully that goes away. Anyway thank you for your post got a little side tracked there I’m sorry.

  34. Eddie M

Thanks Claudia. We don’t need a body we have me. We have literally thousands of “Me’s” and “you’s“. I literally stood and looked at one of these things as long as I wanted to up in a tree. From like 60’. It was NOT a Bear… Nor was it what my mind told it had to be “a pet that got too big to handle”. It was what we call in the south “a wood booger”. I cannot imagine telling a parent that lost a child “a bear” attacked your child knowing all the time what got their child.. That’s Sick! Kinda like the Secretary of State telling a mother at sons funeral whose son died protecting an embassy consultant “your son died because of a you tube video” Thank You Wes for remembering the Coach in South Florida… He did indeed die being a hero. God Bless Him!

  35. mermaidmood

This guy is SO WRONG. Of course they are “downed” by vehicles. They are also “downed” by horrific mistakes — possibly not being able to control their angry outbursts, so to speak, when they attack and cause harm to a human that ends up in having their family group wiped off the earth by those folks in helicopters with high powered rifles. I’d go further and say they KNOW they made a mistake which is why some people see them running away and urinating as they go, or having an erection, which can be a sign of fear and coping in animals.

Then he contradicts himself by saying how Sasquatch bang on trees is a mistake as it announces their presence.

The strangeness of this man’s theory on Sasquatch not ever making mistakes is weird and just wrong. I am totally turned off by his points being presented as fact. That is not good argument of a theory: “Sasquatch feel this way____.” “Sasquatch think this____” He is way off-putting as he clearly has nothing to show in the way of Sasquatch research as it relates to autism. Supposed “Self-soothing behaviors” and using structures? You could make this argument for a wood-peckers, crows, or ants.

  36. Teresa L

Really would like to know what is happening on this court case?? If possible can you due an updated show? I really admire her strength and courage to protect us and them! I myself have seen them and know they are everywhere out there. Thanks for a great show!!!

  37. Whitney A

Chris’s theory makes a lot sense. I agree with you Wes about some of them being monsters but so can autistic people. They can throw down a violent fit like no other. When you think about what triggers sasquatch’s aggressive behavior tho it adds up even more… dogs that wont stop barking which over stimulates their senses, people appearing in their space they werent expecting, people disrupting the normal flow of their environment or activities etc… he didnt mention this during the convo but another parallel would be their 1 track mind. So many witnesses have mentioned them being on a mission to do something when they encountered them and their attention was unwavering. That’s another main trait of autism.

Why would an entire species be like this? Well I’m still in the camp that they are an unnatural creature. Flesh and blood but created thru genetic manipulation… most likely by humans. The only plausible explanation I’ve heard for why theyd do this is to create a superior race for the military. They have all the features to accomplish this except 1 major thing… they are wild animals that could easily crush a human. Humans cannot control them and therefore cannot train them to do what they want so they set them free thinking theyd end up dying off but obviously they didnt happen and now it’s out of control. How far back this happened, idk but since they’re all over the world I’m gonna say quite a long time ago.

  38. craig d

Whitney A your theory regarding human gene manipulation for military etc has holes, there have been reports of Sasquatch dating back hundreds of years. We didn’t even know what DNA was until relatively recently, I believe they mapped the human genome in the 90s or there abouts. I also share in your beliefs that Sasquatch are a human hybrid however whomever did the mixing dates back to BC. The answers may lie in the dead sea Scrolls and other ancient texts.
We are being lied to. I am beginning to believe we are about to enter the end of days and these entities may well be Lucifarian footsoldiers, and that shits scary.
