SC EP:362 The eyes and face looked very human like

I will return on Sunday for the members I had to move my guests around this week.

Tonight I will be speaking to Erin who had an encounter in Washington State and Erin writes “I had a sighting years ago that was witnessed by many other people 30-50 maybe more, I have been researching a bit lately trying to find out if anyone from that day had posted the same sighting because how can you ever forget seeing bigfoot? My husband and I we are meeting my brother and his wife at a cabin in Gifford Pinchot NP (that is in the area of my sighting) in a few weeks hoping to get a chance sighting again, although I’m not sure that I want a face to face like I had before!”

I spoke to Erin last night and she has one of the most interesting encounters I have ever heard. The encounter took place in the late 60’s and Erin was within feet of this creature. She describes several odd things that happened prior to seeing this creature and she was not the only one who saw it.

Erin says “The eyes and face looked very human like. I think it was a male because it reminded me of a man. The body was covered in hair and he had this surprised look on his face. It never growled or showed it’s teeth it just had a look of curiosity and surprise. It scared me, I was in shock……”

I will also be welcoming Derek to the show and Derek writes “My story happen back in July of 2000 I was at scout camp. We where up high in the mountains in eastern Utah. The scout camp is called East fork of the Bear. This was the second year I had been there. This year I was getting my wilderness survival merit badge. So they would take us one night out from the scout camp mile north.

We had to make a shelter look for food. I went with about 5 other from troop. Two went off an made anther camp about 50 feet from us. The rest of us found a large tree that had fallen over. We found other fallen smaller trees took them over and put them leaning on it. To make a same shelter form the night. It took and six of us took pick these trees up plus a dad who came to help us. We put a tarp over the top and all crawled in and went to sleep. I was on one of the exit to the shelter as I have to get up in the middle of the night a lot to go pea.

So the night start out slow with us all scared as we didn’t want to be there. Well they start to tell scary stories and I really got scared and start having to go to the bathroom more. Well after about 4 hour everyone was a sleep and i finally got up to use the restroom. As I’m looking around me I saw a huge figure staring at me. I couldn’t make out a face it was to dark. As it was about 30 feet away. It was about twice my height so around 9 feet tall and was wide. With long arms and legs that would not go straight. It also looked like it had no neck.

Well as any brave 13 year old would do I got back in my sleeping bag and closed my eyes lol. Well the creature came over and found the four of us. One of the boy heard it coming over and started to wake everyone up. He started crying that is when it pushed are shelter over. Remember it took 7 of us to even move those logs it did on it own. Well we all start getting out of the shelter and start making a lot of noise. The scout leaders start yelling and every adult starts to run towards where we are. Well just as fast as it came it was gone. It made one crash sound as it left then was quiet. I didn’t see when it was up close it only heard it. Well when it scout master got to us. They thought we where pulling there legs. They told us to shutup and go back to sleep lol. After that none of us went sleep no one wanted to talk about it. We just left early the next morning back for the main camp.”

        There were some disturbing issues with the tours the Big Thicket team offered.
        Apparently, charging for services on Public Land is illegal. When they all got to the camp sight, Bob’s Team was confronted by authorities, the team left, and the guests were left to fend for themselves. Some had traveled great distances to attend. Not only did they not get what they paid and traveled for, no money was refunded to them.
        There has been more questionable issues besides this.

    (New Jersey) When Wes Germer says a guest “had one of the most interesting encounters he’s ever heard,” you better listen up! He was right. Erin was an excellent guest, an eloquent speaker, and had an absolutely fascinating encounter! Derek’s encounter wasn’t too shabby either! Also it was interesting that both had their experiences as youngsters. Just a Great show!!

            Your encounter just validates these creatures. Hearing about the life long dream to go back to the place this happened and hopefully see another one, why would a person be so impacted for life if ‘it’ was nothing?? Thanks for sharing. Was the creature close enough to reach out to grab you if he wanted to?

        I just listened this day ERIN Y. First off great interview on your part and thanks for sharing. These extremely close encounters give us good insight into these Forest Giants. Most sightings the witnesses state that eyes have no whites, yet the really close ones like yours do suggest they have whites. In fact I just re watched Justin Smeja’s shooting of the young one on Destination America Channel a couple of days ago. Despicable shooting on his part but he did say the child did have whites in the eyes. Also the kindness expression is intriguing. Perhaps it decided it would stay and protect you in the night, while all others ran off. I have read of several incidents in which they saved lost children in the woods and brought them back to the campsite. Who knows. I think it is great you want to go back, relive that night, and maybe just have another encounter. Bob Gimlin states the same. Best of luck on your upcoming excursion and being a woman I am sure you are most safe, with these Sasquatches, anyway.

    Yes Jessica, it walked up right behind me. As I turned and looked over my shoulder it was less than 12 inches from my face. I would guess that as I circled it I remained within that one foot radius, looking up locked into its eyes. I think about that sometimes, like Wes said it could have carried me away with absolutely no chance of rescue. Like I told Wes , it had a kindness in his eyes as well as in its expression .

    I think those adults that sat the little girl out by herself should be spayed/neutered! My ex-son-in-law did my grandson, River, that way when he was four years old. He put River on the porch to sit by himself because he was afraidof the coyotes howling nearby. The only good thing I can say about that sonofabitch, Thomas Curtis Ingram, is that he is no longer a member of our family. He was River’s evil step father. I’d still like to get revenge which is why I hate to hear that camp counselors did that to a child. Grrrrr!

    Wow! Two excellent encounters . I enjoyed them so much I replayed the show while cleaning stalls.
    It’s a shame that in both encounters the kids were not believed. When Erin said the young girl was punished by being put outside, I wanted to put the adults that did that to her in chair in the middle of the Big Thicket at night and drive away. Of course things were different then.

    Erin, you’ll have to tell us how your trip goes next Spring.
    Bigfoot or not.

    Erin’s encounter was a class AAA:
    1. Multiple witnesses and impacts (shutting down camp)
    2. Extreme story detail, including weird/unexpected elements
    3. No ambiguity/no possibility of misidentification
    4. No foreknowledge of the subject
    5. Obviously not lying
    6. Only sighting (i.e. no ‘now let me tell you about the 16 other encounters I’ve had throughout my life)
    7. Lifelong impact (world changed)
    This is about as good as it gets. If you get anyone else from that camp this could be literally the best sighting behind Bob Gimlin’s

      Hi Shelly, I will let everyone know if I hear from anybody. I keep hoping it will strike a cord with someone , maybe they will remember a story their father used to tell them that matches mine, I really hope so!

    If anyone is still viewing this episode, I found my friend a weeks ago! We are having some awesome conversations ! She was able to confirm where the camp was located ,the land is now owned by a conservation group
