SC EP:318 Moments in time that change your life

I will be welcoming Blane Hajicek to the show. Blane has appeared on MonsterQuest. Apart from being a part time editor and camera grip, his father Doug Hajicek producer of MonsterQuest, has invited him on several research expeditions involving Sasquatch in northern Ontario.

In 2007 During the filming of “Sasquatch Attack,” the cabin, in which he was staying, was attacked by something unknown. A year later Blane and his father went back to do more research in the same location, this time without the camera crew. During the second trip to Ontario’s Snelgrove Lake, the cabin was once again attacked. These experiences have opened his eyes to the existence of a large primate living in North America.

Blane will be sharing with us an encounter he had a couple of years ago when he came within 30 feet of two of these creatures. Blane said “I never really believed in these creatures existing up until the Snellgrove lake incident and since then I have had a curiosity that has pushed me to look for answers. During the Snellgrove lake incident I never saw what was throwing rocks but years later I got a really good look at two of these creatures. I am still searching for answers.”

I will also be welcoming Preston to the show. Preston was hunting during his encounter. Preston says “I was hunting when I saw a deer. The deer passed by me and minutes later the deer came running back towards me. I thought for sure I would see an elk chasing it and when I looked up I saw this gorilla looking creature coming from the direction the deer had come from. This thing stopped and looked at me and than continued on the direction it was heading. I only saw it for a couple seconds but those couple seconds changed my life.”

(New Jersey) I enjoyed listening to your encounter, Preston. It obviously had a profound effect on you. This happened about three and a half years ago. But listening to your voice, you could hear and almost feel the deep emotional effect the encounter had. It seemed like it took place just yesterday!! It sounded like a real life changing event! Thanks so much for sharing it.

Thanks Blane and Preston, I really loved Monster Quest, seeing the shows again after listening all of Wes’ guest encounters (318) gives a new perspective on the Episodes. All the new experiences witnesses have told, each adding and confirming the pieces of this giant puzzle of Sasquatch, including new behaviors. It’s just fascinating to me. Thanks Wes !

Great description of the woodboogers here, sounds like it may have been type 2. Good old Minnesota, land of blizzards, mosquitos, swamps, cryptids and 10,000 taxes! Brrr, too cold for me anymore, I moved to a half mile altitude in the mountains, and closer to Canada, where it is warmer! ha! Excellent show, first witness was worth hearing as well! Thanks, Wes.

I used to work for a major trucking company whose Inside Sales was based in central Texas. I recall an executive coming in from Minnesota who talked about loading and selling loads worldwide. He did linger on the unique challenges the loading people had in Minnesota. I recall he stated that in winter if one stood still on the loading dock for a few seconds you could expect to freeze to death. He said they have to glove and cover and move quickly or their eyeballs would freeze up. Oh, no thank you!

So, so believe it. My one and only delivery to St. Paul I had to stop along the road to put a piece of cardboard in front of my radiator just to get a little heat to thaw my feet out.

It’s fight or flight Diane, it’s in my DNA or past training to approach a threat. Has not worked out well always every time. But when it does it takes the power from the attacker.

I don’t believe this guy. Not trying to be disrespectful. A few things don’t add up. I’m sorry Blaine. This animals are terrorising from what they say. I don’t hear terror. Just me being skeptical.

stating your cynicism will only cause people to not share their encounters. This is a “safe place” as Wes puts it. Please respect him and the guests and keep it so.

I can totally understand Blaines demeanor in telling his encounter. After 3 years of getting comfortable with the surroundings, that last night he faced his fears. He no longer needs to be fearful. Good for you Blaine!

      • Antonio C

I understand, but you see I feel safe to say that I am skeptical. Not being disrespectful. You want to silence speech that does not go in accordance with your believes. Even Wes has said one of his guest was crazy.
        Nothing wrong with speaking truth.

Not everyone is a good story teller. I was in the Military and when I speak I have a mental template that is to the point and without emotion. If I were to tell you of the same encounter, it would be as if I was reading it off the back of an cereal box! Also some people have to get past the emotion before they can repete the experience.

He said the whole concept of walking up to the Bigfoot was strange? Man he has some big balls! Especially after going through the snelgrove lake incident. Knowing how violent they can be. Could have very easily turned into authorities finding an empty car and a missing persons case.

I really REALLY want to thank everyone. I hope you read this! I’ve always wanted to see one, but not like you did. I used to hunt deer, and one time we found FRESH tree snaps that we knew were from a SASQUATCH! I didn’t want to look for tracks because I would of quit for good!

  7. Carolyn R

    Wes,
I was hoping you would have Dougs son on when you did his. It was as great as I expected it would be. Thank you!
The interview with Preston was so good also. As usual you handled the interview in a manner that put Preston as at ease as was possible. Thoughts are with him as his mind makes it journey to acceptance of this creatures existance…

  8. Kerry D

Preston….. I too hope you read these comments. Aren’t you glad to know that thousands upon thousands have seen these animals? You’re NOT alone. They do exist. The problems lies with the fact that kids aren’t taught they are out there because science refuses to admit it, therefore we don’t see them in text books, and it’s a shock to people when they do see them. I’m glad you have contacted Wes and finally talked about the encounter. We believe you and will stand with you.
    THANKS WES
    Thank you as well Blane

Great episode, as usual! Thank you Wes and Russell. I’m in central California but would really enjoy going to the International Big Foot Conference. I’m going to see if I can make that happen.
Blaine thank you for such a through set of encounters. All of the information provided is helpful. Ignore the haters. They know not of what they hate.
Preston: hang in there. Thank you for sharing your story. I know it couldn’t be easy to relive the experience every time you tell your story. For what it is worth you have no doubt helped others who are in the same situation as you are in. It has been said time and time again… It helps to hear others stories and it should help you a bit to tell it.
Yep Sasquatch Chronicles creates a win-win-win situation.
Folks who tell theirs stories win.
Folks who hear others stories win.
Folks who have NOT had an experience but want to find answers win.

Living in ‘Southern’ Ontario, I thought I’d look on Google maps for this place, and, I kid you not, found this comment by “Local Guide”

Love the area. There be sasquach in the woods so be aware at all time’s and for gods sake if you spot one do not shoot it cause it will wrap you and your big bad gun around a Tree. ? unless it is being aggressive and you must defend and protect. Be safe and God bless

This scariest part was when the log was thrown? It could have broke a window or something and that could have been really dangerous? But walking up to 2 full grown sass watch 20′ from the car isn’t dangerous? Sorry I call bullship
