SC EP:298 The face was human like but bigger and wider

Tonight I will be welcoming two guests to the show. Mike writes: “Small mountain town outside of Tahlequah Oklahoma. Driving back from town like I had always done when all of the sudden I got a flat tire and forced my jeep up the road a mile and a quarter of a mile in on the entrance. I didn’t want to walk back I didn’t want to stop the jeep.

I later created a lot of damage to the rim and tire. It wasn’t but a few hours after that we were sitting in the back room. I do believe we were intentionally flattened because the damage was consistent with sidewall issue. A newer Goodyear tire that I had for several months. What I seen was a large man like creature looking at us from the back window of a trailer home my now ex resided with her family. It was large about 8-10 ft tall shoulders were at bare minimum of 3feet wide I wouldn’t say it was bigger then that.

The hair was a combination of yellow and grey matted type of fur at the base and long actual blond hair coming off of that. The face was human like, a bigger and wider version of a mans face however the major difference was the width of the mouth. The width of the mouth reminded me of a “cymbal monkey toy” from the movie toy Story 3.

The lips were thin and reached were out cheeks would be at. That’s the best I have to describe the mouth. Which was the feature that came to me as looking monkey like but mostly man-like. I noticed the lips would go from resting together to a wooing pucker and back. No noise or sounds. This thing had a wide and flattish nose with some freckles on either side of the bridge of the nose. Between the cheekbone and the bridge . Eyes were large almond shape and dark and with an occasional blink. I stared at it for about 15 seconds from inside the back bedroom and the window up until I convinced myself and my then girlfriend at the time, that I was seeing something that wasn’t real or thought I somehow imagined what I had seen was manifested as a thought. It was a very odd feeling. It doesn’t exist but it’s right here. She began freaking out and wanted the window shut and locked and had me go throughout the house to check the window and doors and grabbing the shotgun from her parents closet. We locked up the house and went to bed.”

I will also be welcoming Remee to the show and she writes “Hi, I have a friend who follows Sasquatch chronicles and suggested I contact you with my encounter/sighting story.

And after listening to other people’s stories on podcast I feel more at ease in sharing my encounter/sighting as I’m used to people I tell just dismissing it and writing to off as nothing. The encounter/sighting was in the mid to late 90’s while driving in northern Manitoba, Canada on a 2 lane highway surrounded by nothing but a sea of pine tree forest on both sides.

It was late at night and I was sitting with my dad keeping him awake while we drove to visit family up north, when all of a sudden in the headlights there was a Sasquatch that came running upright out of the ditch and across the road right in front of us. It was a very quick and used its arms to almost propel itself out of the ditch and across the road. It only took the Sasquatch 2 strides to clear the road. And once it was on the other side of the road it stopped for a split second, standing upright and just stared right at me while we were still driving towards it. Then it ran down the ditch into the darkness still upright and was gone.

However, I’m not sure where you sit with the belief of people having empathetic abilities but I have these and get gut feelings of other people, animals and nature’s feelings and I just know things that I shouldn’t sometimes. So in the instance when the Sasquatch stopped and stared at me I felt a great sadness, but like a loss or separation from another and a kind of lonely frantic ness almost like a driven search out of a panic. I also felt the Sasquatch’s mentality was what we would equate to that of a late teen early adult years and that it was a highly intelligent male. I remember his eyes the most they were large and dark but had a soft sad/ driven/ frantic panic kind of feel. I really didn’t feel he was any kind of threat or that he would want to be. He was very tall and had really long arms. It almost looked like a cross between a gorilla because of the arms and some of the facial features like the dark eyes and the flat wide nose and a brown/ grizzly bear because of the body being covered in a brown/black colour short hair and the butt being big like a bear, except the head had long hair. The Sasquatch was very muscular and had hands and feet like people but much larger and the skin looked thicker and like a grey colour. Honestly this Sasquatch to me was a beautiful being.

That is my sighting/encounter of a Sasquatch. I also have a picture I drew of what I remember seeing that night that I will attach, it’s not the best but is what i saw. Thanks for letting me share my sighting with you”

        Well no, I’m a knower W/O ever seeing one, I I spent the 1st 35 years of my life in Northern WI, dirt bikes and my preciou85 Quadracer I went everywhere there on it , would stop often in the middle of know where, and have a smoke just listen and enjoy nature. I’ve heard strange things, and odd movements, The most intriguing thing I ever had was a very large pine tree drop straight across the road within 10 min of me turning around and going back the same way, my quad is very loud so maybe I pissed off one, it was a logging road, who knows but makes me wonder today.

    Hello,

    I want to say I’m not a researcher. I’m scared to death of actually seeing one. Anyway, I’ve thought about the road crossings myself. I have three ideas, One: they think a Car is its own animal. Of course this would leave out the ones who see us get in and out of one. Again this is just a theory. Two: the one running out in front of the car is a decoy. Maybe, there are others around and it’s an ambush. What the Sasquatch is hoping is the car swerves or runs off the road and then we’re a meal. If this theory is true, it means for every time they try a road side crossing at least one has worked. Three; it’s happening more because cars make a lot less sound. If they hear or see us they duck but because cars are a lot more silent they are crossing more. If this is true, maybe the Sasquatch don’t see the headlights until they’re close. If they see in a different wave than we do, maybe they don’t see the headlights until they’re close.

    Just a theory.

    Bob, great ideas. Fourth theory is a crossing is a kind of territorial display, kind of like saying, “hey I’m here and you’re entering my area so you better not cause problems!”. Just an idea. Ambush is a possibility but a 3-4-5000lb car at highway speeds will still maim or kill a BF and I would think they wouldn’t risk it especially as there probably have been some hard “lessons learned ” in the BF population. An injury usually isn’t worth it to any animal that isn’t starving. 5th idea is these things seem often to have a nervous quality despite their physical hyper superiority. Like an indecisive squirrel maybe they hear the car and at the last second say ” screw it” and make a run for it at the last second. Who knows they also charge and pace cars soo all bets are off?????

    Wes, you should add a link tab to the shows “friends” Dogman encounters, Renegade podcast, Bigfoot outlaws, etc. hopefully they support you also so we can all Mutually support the legitimate quality shows out there.

    Great episode Wes! And great guests with awesome encounters! In reference to the first guest and the roadside encounter. I find it strange they would cross in front of vehicles. Possibly because their eyes and blinded by the bright headlights . Result being they panic somewhat and bolt across. Just my thoughts .. And I would like to thank Mike for sharing his encounters! His first encounter was fascinating and spooky.. I wasn’t expecting you to say that you saw others climbing down trees over its shoulder in the distance! Wow! I wonder if they saw you pull up with the flat tire? To see what you saw and to be stuck in that trailer would have been unsettling. Did you hear anything through the night? Also I googled sasquatch reports around Ten Killer Lake. Many reports and you were right about how the local native Americans do not like to even speak of it. Reminded me of living in northern Minnesota and how the natives didn’t like to speak about the Windigos. For fear of bringing them around. Again great show Wes and guests!

      Geeze! Like First Nation people are the only trepidatious folks on the planet? I’d rather be trepidatious than throw every cryptid from pole to pole in the same pot so to speak . How is that research or educational when all mysterious beings get lumped together ? Seems convient at times ! There is way more to know . What we have is the tip of the icebergs. Perhaps more tribal people would share if they weren’t addressed in terms of myth and legend so often.

    i think the pic she drew is at the very top, the cartoonish bigfoot with the grey feet. i wanna know where the second guests rendering is (Wes said the guest took a pic off of youtube) but did well in describing it. thats the one i wanna see the blonde ky waterfall mullet bigfoot… where that image at Wes?

    Wes, thanks again for another great show. Living in WI we hear of bigfoot sightings in the Kettle Moraine area and up north — most recently around Anitigo. Doesn’t surprise me he had an encounter near the southern border.

    I have a theory as to why these things may cross the road like they do. I think that in at least in some cases I think they do this to see if they can get the human to exit their vehicle. Sure would be an easy way to catch something to eat.

    Great show Wes. Mike was probably one of the best witness interviewees I have heard on this show! Intelligent, well spoken, and not a lot of extra fluff in his recounting of his multiple encounters. He is a rare breed! Not many people get to/have had to, deal with these beings like this. I only know of a few others with so many encounters that could be believed! Again Great show! Bob in Germany

    Yea Jody, like American speak = vittles, rather than food (or something). How about “shrimps” rather than “shrimp”. We all know it’s simply shrimp, plural, no “s”… yet, that doesn’t stop “Mericans, from saying “shrimps”. Just saying.

    m99: I am pretty sure English is a second language to the Hispanics (“Mexicans”) which you speak of. For that reason alone, I give them a break. It is an easy mistake to make.

    I am the other Rob V who also lives on the border or Illinois and Wisconsin and I have also had a vocal encounter, several legit sightings and print finds around me and Mike…Hey Mike if your at all interested in what I also have encountered in NE IL maybe we should compare notes. I do suspect a group of three, including an adolescent travels our corridor….

      The BFRO database is very incomplete as far as this area is concerned, most people do not report sightings and keep them secret, so I thank you for sharing all three of those events, I am quite certain we are talking about the same individuals.

    As a person who spent 9 years getting a 4 year degree in English and creative writing -yes, I’m often a grammar nazi.
    I studied for a mostly worthless degree, mostly because my parents insisted I go and figure out why later, and other than avoiding being a damned illiterate I have little use for it.
    Lucky for the bigfoot/Samsquanch/Sabe community I haven’t actually seen one. I figure I got no dogs in this fight and will defer to the expert who’s studying one in his garage.

    I really felt Mike’s burden of knowledge, knowing the evidence of his eyes, seeing such a large group of sassies outside of his ex girlfriend’s house. What is the big secret? I actually felt sorry for his ex girlfriend’s family living with such a group but burdened with silence about it. Great episode.
